38-0 bro. At halftime.
I think that's more like the first quarter.
Halftime...........Blah Ha Ha. Can't wait for those fireworks!
I think 65-3.... is too generous to #LOLUVA, but in all seriousness 65-3 would not surprise me one bit.
3 points man? You have to remember this is UVA Football...
Yep, they're too busy trying to score Zima to score 3 points.
You guys are right London might Ice his own kicker HA!
uva defense actually played well in first game. I think uva loses but maybe not as bad as we want lol
Oregon will score 60. BYU is not a good team this year, no matter how bad UVA wishes they were.
Oregon puts up more than 50, UVA puts up more than zero. But not by much.
UVA will keep it closer than you think. 37-17, Oregon.
17 points? That's more than they scored against us in the past two years combined.
Look, it's @ UVA so I bet they hold them at the most 50 points.
I've seen the hoos practice...their D-line is undersized, but on the plus side, they're slow. This ain't gonna be pretty, folks.
The uglier the better.
Nothing ugly about Oregon:
Thanks but I don't like girls....especially cheerleaders (Cheerleading is not a sport in my book).
I do believe AMB is a Hokie Girl, so I'm not sure where the -1 came from
"Not that there's anything wrong with that"
Even if she wasn't a Hokie Girl, why would we down vote someone for their sexual orientation?
Horse might kick the you-know-what out of somebody if they aren't careful!
Prob bc I said cheerleading isn't a sport.
Whatever. Ill take the -1 (my first one)
And you are very wise, Wise I am I Hokie girl :)
You don't like cheerleaders...but, but, but
1 plus for the VT All Access meme. That was what made the biggest impression of the program, to me. I know lots of folk are going to question AM's coaching ability after 8/31, but having a coach that is that energetic as well as difficult will pay big dividends. Just watch. This game was the barometer for our receiving core. They will surprise a lot of hokie fans.
He is pretty sexy...
Testosterone fueled turkey leg for you!
Second one from the left looks like her arm is bending the wrong way. Second from the right has greasy hair. They all seem to have some weird o-shaped growth on their cheeks. Also, I don't like Nike. 2/10, would not bang.
I'm thinking that joints bending in the wrong ways could be a positive.
Just sayin'........
Ha. True enough. Gave a turkey leg anyway, they're better than whatever I'm pulling
What HOAT is pulling...
Mmmm....shapely
Once you go Amish.......
Once you go beard, it ain't weird.
Best reply in the thread!
Even though Oregon is going to curbstomp UVA, and it's going to get ugly, the Ducks' cheerleaders are will make the day better for everyone
80 point loss feels right.
I don't really want them to get shutout though.....only when we play them! ;-)
The more UVA is utterly embarrassed, regardless of opponent, the happier I am.
I find uva 1-0 and us 0-1 always unacceptable. That changes this week and then we pull away
The Hokies picked up more votes in the AP poll after a loss than UVA did after a win. VT got 12, UVA got 2.
Oregon-10000000000000000000000 UVA-negative 7
ITS OVER 9000!!!!!!!
I actually did not consider that UVA would score negative points. How I missed this, I will never know.
It's been predicted before:
"Bears: 31 to -7"
-Pat Arnold
"Beverly Hills 90210
Cleveland Browns 3"
--Drew Carey WLIIA?
Turkey Leg for your WLIIA reference. Aisha Tyler is a good host but the show will never be the same without Drew behind the desk.
UVA opened up as 23.5 underdogs. The line has moved to 22/21.5, depending on the casino:

Maybe 60-3 is overstated. Or maybe we should all be putting our mortgages on Oregon.
Also, the O/U started at 64. So, combining the two, Vegas predicts approximately a 43.75-20.25 victory for Oregon. 20 points seems awfully high for UVA.
Vegas wins more than they loose. I'd bet the final will be remarkably close to their prediction.
After seeing BYU picking up first downs pretty easily passing to their backs, I think it's going to be more than a long day for the french.........
45-10 Oregon feels right here.
This:
vs this
This was possibly one of the greatest comments I have ever witnessed on TKP. First for reminding me of a childhood favorite show that I had COMPLETELY forgotten about. And second for giving me a mashup of both of Cowherds UVA rants. I wish I could give you all of the turkey legs
Glad a blast from my past as well could brighten your day
Hahaha that clip was awesome. Someone should post it on the UVA fan sites..I can't since I've been block from most of them on Facebook.
This made me laugh out loud at my desk and almost blow my "totally not working" cover. But I suppose if anyone wanted to say anything, I could just "Punch them in the neck!"
I've watched this like 8 times now. Love it!
LOLUVA wins the toss, Duck kicks it outa the end zone for touchback, the cop calls all his timeouts before the first play then they quit and consider it a moral victory!
I have to say I am genuinely conflicted about my aspirations for UVA in hot-seat seasons like this one.
One of my great fears a few years ago when we lost Al "The Fightin' Fannypack" Groh (Virginia Tech's 12th man for the better part of a decade) was that UVA might actually find a decent coach who could resuscitate their program. Thankfully, I was wrong and not only has Mike London (AKA The Crying Time-Out Crime-Fighter) literally worked MIRACLES for Tech in ways no one here could have predicted (I mean seriously, where did that 4th quarter time-out come from last year?!), his continuance of that time-honored UVA tradition of mediocrity with decent talent fills my heart with a warmth rivaled only by Wild Turkey Single Barrel. On top of that, Coach Sweater-Tuck went on to sabotage GT for a glorious half a season (and he picked the right half of that season, too)!
So, in response, I want UVA to do just well enough each weekend to keep Coach Kleenex in his current position in his mind-glowingly average football program. But hey, given what Senor Fannypack accomplished when freed of said program, maybe I can root for Oregon all the way after all.
Fuck it. Send London to Clemson next.
O- 62, UVA-10.
Go Birds.
I think I'm going to start nicknaming London TimeCop.
LMAO I second this motion
We could call him "Kindergarten Cop".

I see a lot of similarities between this
and this
Anything to make the kids laugh. Right, Arno-I mean, Coach?
What is he (London) doing here????
A 6-6 season for uva would be best case scenario for us. Just good enough to keep London, just bad enough for nobody to care.
^^^^Awesome
76 - 6 Ducks, case of Sam Adams Oktoberfest, and UVA will only win 4 games this season. The game with BYU looked no different the the Penn St victory last year other then BYU not missing 8 FGs. There were no obvious improvements even with 5 additional loser head coaches.
47 - 10 Oregon, and that's only because the coaching staff decides to put actual ducks on the field for the fourth quarter.
The local paper's (Daily Progress) Jerry Ratcliff had an interesting line in his column (I think from yesterday). He interviewed Kyle Long (son of local homeboy Howie, a former Oregon Duck, and now member of the Chi-town Bears). He asked him what LOLUVA needed to do to beat the Ducks...his response was classic...."Virginia better get faster players."
52-14
This may not be far off...but if it is, it's gonna be a higher score rather than a low one.
You were right. Not a bad guess.
Oregon 62, UVA 3
After Oregon's final touchdown, by the 4th team offense with 15 seconds left in the 4th quarter, they kickoff to UVA then every player on the coverage team sits down. UVA's return man trips at Oregon's 5 yard line and Mike London sends out the FG unit with 2 seconds left on the clock for their only points of the night.
He uses a timeout? ;-)
He tries to ice his own kicker and ends up looking like a genius as the pre-timeout kick is wide right, second kick just sneaks into the upright.
I Think it's closer than most people think. And by "Closer" I Mean 3-4 touchdown margin of victory. Find it interesting that EVERYONE is picking oregon to completely roll them, Vegas just doesn't give free money away like that (oregon favored by 21/22 points). The casinos/hotels are that big for a reason. Ducks win by a healthy margin, but I think traveling to east coast has some effect on it and UVA's a little better this year than in the past (especially on D)
True. Also, don't forget, Oregon is taking a 5+ hr flight and playing at 9:30 AM their time. Don't be surprised if Oregon starts out a little sluggish. Of course, I also wouldn't be surprised if Oregon comes out and scores 35 in the first quarter, because, well it's Oregon.
I think alot of people (like myself) are having a hard time differentiating between what they think will happen and what they want to happen. I THINK it'll be 38-0 bro. I WANT it to be 72 to -7
I wouldn't be surprised if the Ducks showed up a quarter late to give UVA a head start on defending their first play.
It's going to be a LOLUVA blowout and we all love that!
The funny thing is all their top recruits and targets will be there to witness the destruction.
Anyone else remember last year when ESPN was making a big deal about TimeCop sending letters to recruits predicting their win over someone (da U?). I wonder if they're going to report on his letters this year predicting a win over Oregon and looking like a complete fool?
Another question: Who will have the bigger margin of victory, VT over the 'Mounts or Oregon over the Cavs?
Oregon.
Easily.
They only won by 7 more than we did.
I was hoping the scored at least three more times when I wrote that haha
Definitely Oregon....the only way we cover spread is if defense scores the majority of touchdowns.
Well you're probably happy to be wrong
#Sources tell me that ESPN has decided to back out broadcasting this game. Luckily though, PBS has decided to broadcast the game.
LOLUVA QB will get knocked out the game and season.
Oh man, this game is hilarious to watch.
this game is pretty much going as expected:

UVA is still on track to get blow out..the ducks never had a great defense but they are fairly sold. I'm puzzled at why the Ducks are running the ball right up the middle so many times.
Wasn't Oregon's defense ranked #2 in the nation last year? I thought someone said that stat before the Alabama game.
#44 in total defense. There was some stat about Oregon being #2 in some category, but I think that was also followed up by something like "the gap between #1 and #2 is wider than the rest of the entire range" or something insane like that.
It was yards allowed per play (they score so fast the opponent actually has quite a bit of time to run their own offense too). However, Oregon lost 2 very, very good linebackers.
That was it, thanks.
And safety. Guy was the leader of their d
the #newhoos are imploding as we speak
Nothing quite warms my heart like watching UVA get completely destroyed
The pick in the end zone that was returned 97 yards made me especially happy. If only he could have gotten those last 3 yards.
My friend quit watching before the second qtr was over. Smh...I told her how this game would be. Ha!! LOLUVa
GO FOR 2, MAKE IT 60!
The announcers believed Oregon left 28-points off the board.
That seems reasonable. End of the half they stalled on a 4th and goal from the 1. I think they went for it on 4th down a couple more times in the red zone.
Well, that was just heartwarming. Goodnight TKPers!
This has been a great day! The Hokies won, LOLUVA was destroyed, and mike London was chasing the refs crying. The guy is the biggest whiner.
Before this game I was texting a buddy and predicted 52-10. So close.
Those wahoos did something right, any of you guys see what BYU is currently doing to Texas?
Granted...UT is overrated, but they're getting man handled.
Near the end of that game, on the end of a run where, I believe BYU fumbled it looked like the running back was bent backwards. It also looked intentional to my eye. I'm going to go back and check the full game/highlights when they're available, if it was on purpose it would actually make me mad.
I just saw the score again during the Michigan Norte dame game..I LOLUVA once again.
What the HELL happened to BYU last week to make them lose to UVA? The whole team must have gotten food poisoning from the Zima Welcome Basket... crazy
Or Texas is waaaaay overrated. Ash got hurt in the pride. He looked lost.
Did Texas lose?
Annihilated. 40-21 BYU.
This was a hilarious game to watch. I'm actually really glad there was a weather delay so I could watch most of it instead of watching the ND and OK games. The announcers were spectacular.
At the beginning of the fourth quarter, the score was already 40-21 and the announcers were talking about BYU's approximately 500 rushing yards. They said something like, "BYU has set the record today for most rushing yards against Texas in the history of the Texas program. And we are just now starting the fourth quarter. They've already demolished the record in three quarters". And every time they ran the ball after that, the announcers kept on saying that NOW they've set the record for most rushing yards against Texas.
I could feel the tail-between-our-legs, please-have-mercy-on-us attitude of the entire state of Texas through the TV. Even the BYU fans stopped cheering (it was in Provo) through the fourth quarter, seemingly out of pity. I've never seen a team so inept at stopping the run. They looked demoralized.
Mormons are a very respectful and nice group
Yeah, that's for sure but put Texas and LOLUVA on the same field and I still put money that Texas beats them.
Also, with performance like that this it's probably Mack Brown's last season
I can't believe Mack Brown has lasted this long. The Red River rivalry with OU has been anything but, and Texas hasn't won 10 games in a season since 2009. They have owned Texas recruiting the whole time, yet calling them mediocre would be kind.
Follow the money...E$PN thought they were interesting enough to have their own channel. Lucrative TV deal = job security.
They make non-alcoholic zima?
The crazy thing is... Most uva fans I know actually thought they stood a chance. It's laughable how delusional they are
I asked on of my friends that goes to UVA about it and he said "I don't think most of our school knows we have a football team."
Building a dynasty ehh?
None ever put the word "winning" near "dynasty" in any of those statements...
I felt compelled to create this handy bar graph comparing UVA and Virginia Tech's performances against Oregon and Alabama, respectively. Feel free to use this whenever you need to show and simple-minded Wahoo who showed up against their perennial opponent.
