Adonis Williamson and Eric Whitehead?

Two 2015 signees who didn't qualify and went the JUCO/CC route IIRC.

I believe they had to wait two years to enroll, which is coming to an end. So has there been any recent info as to their status?

Are their offers still valid? If so, will they enroll?

Anybody heard anything?

so if you google adonis williamson and go to his 247 page, there's an entry that says he will attend ASA-Brooklyn and the link for more information...takes you to a TKP article

But yeah, I have no idea if they are still coming or if the new regime even wants them. They are not locked into their NLI so they could play anywhere that will take them, assuming all went well at the lower levels.

Whitehead was as Hokie as you could get during his recruitment. He's been quiet outside of just tweeting his highlight film at coaches throughout his juco time though. I am interested to get updates on these guys. Whitehead would provide some depth at tackle.

Eric Whitehead still shows being committed to Tech even with updates on his JUCO status on his twitter account.

Williamson is a little tougher, seems he was on the ASA roster in 2015 but I don't see him listed for 2016. Don't find any mention of his elsewhere though. His twitter still shows him at ASA.

I thought Tech and the ACC has big restrictions on allowing kids from JUCO to transfer to their institutions if they did not qualify out of high school.

Everything I've heard suggests Fuente will not be honoring the scholarships extended by the previous regime. Time to look ahead to the future and move on from the recruiting of the past.

What have you heard that suggests this?

I did some digging around on various VT football websites a few months ago because I too was curious about the situation. A few writers had addressed the issue and all said that they don't anticipate either to end up in Blacksburg and that Fuente would extend those scholarships elsewhere based off of his staff's evaluations.

None of that necessarily indicates that the new staff will or won't be honoring offers by the previous staff.

There are several reasons why they won't likely end up in Blacksburg. But to conclude from those reasons and from what you read that the new staff won't be honoring old commitments is a stretch.

zero to no chance they come to VT

Literally the first time I've thought about either of them in 2 years.
