Who chooses Papa John's over Chipotle?
And based on this tweet, the ankle assassin is back next year.

Nicely done, Cam.
In answer to your quesiton, SLOP, anyone with taste would make the same choice
Laying on the spice, love this
(Chipotle is better though sorry Cam)
Just added "laying on the spice" to my personal lexicon.
Planning to start peppering it into conversations beginning of next week.
Some people might get a little too salty, so be careful with it.
Most here are seasoned enough to handle it.
Strong move. I got food poisoning from Chipotle on NYE.
I should have never strayed from obviously superior Moe's.
What the hell were you thinking?
Chipotle is in the mall across the street from my apartment. Moe's is a 15 minute drive away.
Sorry to hear that. There is a Chipotle across the street from my office. A co-worker and I have been there so many times in the last year that their staff made our Christmas card distribution list, and they routinely hook us up with enourmous portions and stacks of buy-one-get-one free coupons. Never had any problems and I couldn't be happier with my experience there.
I'm noticing your list of reasons doesn't mention "the food is good."
I'll be honest, the convenience and the coupons are the main reason I go. My official position is this: I do think Chipotle is pretty good, especially considering it's a fast food chain. If people prefer sacrificing the quality of ingredients to save some money at MOE's, I totally respect that, and I don't necessarily think MOE's is bad, but I'm incapable of performing the mental gymnastics required to convince myself MOE's has better-tasting food. And neither place cracks my top 25 burrito power rankings.
I'm guessing anyone who has a top 25 burrito power ranking system to maintain probably has a hotline to his plumber.
So a contractor of ours brought in Moe's as a thank you lunch for the year's business. I figured out the secret ingredient in their guac: loads of salt. It was terrible. The queso is good, but the steak, chicken, beans, and rice were not even a close second to Chipotle. Sorry Fireman, but a man cannot live on queso alone.
Everything else > Chipotle
I think Cam just ignited the great debate of the 2017 offseason...
Papa John's or Chipotle
Give me the Sweet Meteor of Death.
For the cost of a PJ's pizza, you can get 2 Chipotle steak burritos.
It's in the math.
And I'm sorry that the Chipotles around all of you non-believers apparently suck at basic food handling. I've never had a shadow of a problem.
Maybe the decision came down to money, and he had enough points to get a free pizza.
But when the Hokies win, you get 40% off at Papa John's!
Chipotle doesn't even support the Hokies. In fact, I hear they offer deals to Hoos.
Except they're piloting their drone delivery program on campus. It may not be direct support, but that's pretty damn cool.
I've almost always been able to get PJ cheaper than anything at Chipotle. I use all of the discount codes that they offer. If you are in the DMV, you can get discounts for all the sports teams. Nats, Wiz, Skins, DC United, VTFB, VTBB and hell I didn't even know DC had ultimate Frisbee until it got me 50% off (apparently they aren't bad). They also offered 40% off for a full week and half before Christmas.
Be careful with the PJ discounts. Alot of times, their special deals are a better price than the discount deal from the sports teams end up being, depending on what you are getting.
Ah, SMOD. More extinction level events than fans at a UVA spring enlightening.
They are so different I don't even know how I could compare them.
Both those places suck. Moes over Chipotle and literally every pizza place over Papa Johns.
Gotta love burritos so average they have to bribe you with free chips and salsa.
John Coctostan with chiptole ranch > any burrito ever.
This is so wrong, I just nearly went full arnie on y'all.
Is this becoming an official TKP thing or nah? Because I honestly chuckled at this.
Y'all down vote this, but I'm about to speak that dam truth! If you don't eat Moe's you need to learn what a good burrito is!! Moe's is cheap! Sorry but this kid got screwed by a parent who didn't have the brains to eat Moe's!!
It should. Someone call hokie07 and have him add it to the guide.
you know, some of us have jobs and can't just dick around on TKP all day...who am I kidding, it will be in there by lunchtime.
Hot damn. That's customer service right there.
Done. Sorry for the delay. I need to go through and make all of them direct link-able, but that will have to wait for another day...
Cheers! I didn't think I could rely on a Mechanical Engineer, and then one from Forest of all places.
Related: Can my TKPCbux go towards a Worst Comments Hall of Fame? I'd like to see a digital stockade for the posts with the most downvotes ever.
Has anyone ever had Cava Grill? It's a mediterranean version of Chipotle and I honestly can't go back to Chipotle after eating it. A little pricey but I prefer to have half braised lamb/half braised beef in my rice bowl compared to Chipotle's half carnitas/half steak.
The only good thing about Moe's is Moe's Monday and get the true value of their food in $5 Burritos
This guy gets it. They just opened one that is walking distance from my office. We try to limit ourselves to once a week but we've been rather unsuccessful at that.
Well, that's just plain wrong. Papa John's pizza isn't the best pizza by a stretch, but it is head and shoulders above so, so many I've had that it makes your post hyperbolic at best.
I've been unhappy, but somewhat understanding of all of the decisions announced today, but this? This just baffles me. Chipotle is always the better decision.
Even Cam Phillips understands the overrated nature of Chipotle.
But one could also say that he realizes Moe's is a crap excuse for a burrito place because they weren't even listed.
Seriously, Moe's couldn't even crack his Top Two. They need to seriously rethink their leadership and hire someone that can CLOSE!!!
I'd say they could hire Bret Bielema to close, but we all know how closing turned out for him.
If the kid wants pizza, let him have pizza...I completely support this decision.
Just another kid choosing to sit out his (burrito) bowl game. Gotta respect his choices.
But his pie game is strong.
Thank You, Cam.
He is obviously settling. He could move on to bigger and better things.
Like Moe's.
Stupid question, but is this a real tweet from Phillips? Because if so, I think it's the most clever post I've ever seen a player make.
And that would mean two Hokies have entered my updated all-time top-10 list in the last week: Bucky Hodges for his tribute to Keion Carpenter, and Phillips for this (and for being a straight up bad ass).
BTW, I want to point out that Phillips is likely to overtake Ford for the all-time VT receptions record next year. You know, because he's a bad ass and all.
It's a real tweet from Phillips. Looks like everyone is having a lot of fun reading and responding to it. It is an expertly timed bit of humor.
And @BelkBowl even responded to his tweet with a "#MVP". For realz.
Wait.
This means he's transferring to Louisville?
This day, man. Sigh.
Personally, I'm offended that anyone would choose Moes over Chipotle.
I'm offended by the large amount of Chipotle hate on this thread
I'm with you .... if you want to argue California Tortilla, I'll at least listen to you, but Moe's is not good. At all.
Not the choice I would have made, but I support him to know what's best for himself and his family.
*Sees thread title*

Clearly that Belk Bowl MVP has gone to his head!
Cracked me up that the @BelkBowl twitter responded with #MVP.
What toppings?
He going ham, fam!
Dork magic
Weighing in with two things:
1. I saw your post title and nearly had a heart attack, I would say nice work but arggggggghhhhh so much almost-angst.
2. Everything > Papa John's
*edit: I go on retreat for a week with limited internet access and while I'm gone, we win the Belk Bowl and then beat Duke on NYE....I don't think you'll be hearing from me for a while. It'll be tough, but I've always been a team player kind of beard

Awesome punk on everyone! I wanted to stop reading!
I went to a chipotle once and it felt like I was at a K & W but they only sold burritos.
Jesus man...you can't do this. My heart freakin sunk.
Wait people actually consume Papa John's?!
Only from Louisville.
They do when any sports team wins anything. 40% off and all.
I heard they even gave the "escorts" they hired for basketball recruiting 40% off too.
When I saw that last night, I definitely got a little nervous as I began reading!
Yeah, the E. Coli comes free at Chipotle.
My man.
Smart kid on and off the field.
They use better ingredients, which makes for better pizza, its a simple choice.
Why was Little Caesars not part of the discussion? Pizza pizza.
Because if I wanted to eat shit, I'd just walk down the hall to the bathroom
FTFY
The second I saw the iPhone notes page for his tweet, my heart sunk.
Glad to see Cam is happy for his teammates chasing their dreams in his other tweets as well. He seems to have a really good head on his shoulders and damn did he look good down the closing stretch.
Excited to see him in Lane next season!
I feel bad for anyone that does not have good local pizza or mexican food and has to settle for chain restaurants...
So....you're saying the solution to this debate is Cabo?
Thank you for your sympathy.
I was avoiding coming back to this thread to avoid the inevitable Moe's-Chipotle flame war, but the overwhelming majority of these have been on topic and funny. The rest, okay slightly funny.
And here's how I kind of feel about the debate, where Chipotle is the Mac:
Gus is so young in this video.
