That's a stretch. He played pretty well against Alabama, and had those two picks kind of fall his way today, but I think Jarrett is just as good if not better.

He played a great game today, but I think in general the secondary is one of our most impressive groups of players. We will have to see if Bonner can keep up the momentum (and I believe he can) or if the secondary as a whole continues to make everyone look good.

Bonner is quietly improving. After being targeted repeatedly last year because of he was green to the position, he often got burned. Fast forward to today, Bonner is a completely different player. On his 2nd interception, he literally tracked the ball all the way and snared it. It was no small feat.

A D-1 starter (leading the team in INTs) for one of the best D- Coordinators in the country, and probably one of the best up and coming Position coaches in the nation is aiiiiiight? Well, aiiiiight, then!

I don't think he's saying he's the best player in our secondary. Just that he's underrated which I agree with 100%. I really don't think we have a weak link in the back end. We loaded the box and dared them to pass the ball i expect to see that become a trend

Fuller's deflection on the first Bonner INT took an INT away from Fayscon, who undercut the route and was aiming for a pick six. Lucky bounce to Bonner.
But, that was one hell of an effort by Bonner on the second INT. JoeTKP called in that Sullivan would try a double move on Kyle, and sure enough, it was open if Bonner doesn't bust his tail to get over there.

Bonner it to VT's secondary what Ryan Clark was to the Redskins secondary back in the day. He quietly goes about doing his job so effectively that you barely notice him on the field. He might not be the best player, but he knows his role and enables others to make plays. Turkey Leg for Bonner

Im still not sold on bonner lol it may just be me but that's how I feel. We played WC today, lets wait til we play Miami or unc or someone who can throw the ball before we decide Bonner is no longer a weakness. Because he struggled mightily last year

I don't think Bonner is overrated or underrated. I think he's properly rated. He's a solid player who's improving, and can occasionally have a helluva game like he did yesterday.

Der'Woun Greene is a safety, too, right? I think I noticed him being athletic on special teams last week. With him and Frye getting backup snaps, having three corners now (prior to the return of Saint Exum) means we're pretty much two deep at every position in the secondary. And the D line. I'm pretty happy about that.

The ball was overthrown It was a pretty easy INT and the first INT was all kendall there making a play on the ball
Jarrett is better then bonner. Bonner is aight.
I found your casual dismissiveness to be hilarious

it was also WCU lol
I still don't believe Jarrett has any interceptions. I'd like to see him get a few this season to really shine
Ummmm, No....
I think he was solid, no doubt. Just not on the level of Jarrett or Ky Fuller, IMO.

^This. I don't think he's better than Jarrett or the Fuller bros but he is a darn good player.
Yep yep very very improved over the beginning of last year. He's no longer a weakness

If he doesn't get there it is an incompletion, that ball was overthrown

I submit Bama for your approval.

I think Chuck Clarke has passed Frye on the depth chart
I've been high on Greene since he came in. He plays all out. He has playmaker all over him. Going for big things out of him the next few years.
