McLaughlin is No. 71 on the East Roster, which is coached by Arizona Cardinals assistant Brentson Buckner.
The 6-foot-5, 294-pound McLaughlin, who's originally from Mauldin, South Carolina, started 49 games in his four years in Blacksburg, switching between left and right tackle throughout his career and earning third-team All-ACC honors from the both the media and coaches last season a senior.
Lots of tweets and articles have said McLaughlin has had good practices at the game.
Then next is Sam Rogers in the Reese's Senior Bowl on Jan. 28th at 2:30.

Jk Fireman, thanks for this. I'm personally hoping Sam can improve his draft stock even more--he's already projected as a 5th-rounder on some databases.
Sam has looked awesome in practice. Hope to be able to catch the game tomorrow.
Wait there are two games?

My DVR needs to be set!
There was one last weekend.
was there a VT player?
Johnathon McLaughlin but I can't find any recaps of the game.
Thought McLaughlin game was today and rogers on the 28th when I read the above topic
That's what 90 percent of the post was about.
There were actually two last weekend but only one featured a VT player IIRC.
Sam Rogers is absolutely sprinting into contact every time he's on the field as a lead blocker.
Also, Zay Jones from ECU is playing himself into day 2.
They threw the ball to him a lot in practice hope we get to see that today.
Too bad he was well covered on the only play where he was the primary receiver.
Don't they know Rogers is a touchdown machine! Give him the ball!
My completely uneducated opinion is that he looked good. Looked like he was blocking and running routes well / getting open, but the qb never checked down to him. And you're right, it's a shame he was well covered in the one time he got the ball
Sam graded out as the second-highest offensive player on his team, per PFF, and the highest score in run-blocking. Good look for our Hokie hero.

When the hell do you sleep? Just came here to post thinking, no one but me would be up this early.
I gave up sleep 10 years ago.
You think so until you start having kids, then you will know what not having sleep is.
I started practicing the no sleep thing back in Blacksburg. 15+ years later with two kiddos upended my theories and practice of no sleep...
I'm beyond the Trenta coffee size nowadays...

Kids, huh?
Nope, started grad school then and still trying to succeed in academia.
Am I missing something here? Reading the timestamps, you guys are debating why people are up at 9am?
On a Sunday without kids 9 am I was still in bed. I also know he was up earlier from twitter.
If I'm not hungover, I try to get up at 9 or so, so I can actually get to sleep at a decent time Sunday night for work. However, I usually end up staying up late Sunday for the Showtime lineup.

Totally OT, but since you have commented on this before, I thought you'd want to know. And for all my fellow South Carolinians:
H3296 VIrginia Tech Tag Bill passed the Full Education and Public Works committee last week and is waiting vote by the SC House, probably early this week. I just emailed my representatives asking them to vote yes.
It's finally happening!
It's a great day in SC.
