ISO VT hat with old "T inside the V" logo

Hey gang - now that VT has rebranded, I'm finding it tough to find the old-school "T inside the V" logo'd hat. Does anyone know where one can still procure one of these? Thanks!

Correct, it's April. AMB are my initials. ;-)

@AMB4VT

You can't just go around changing your name all willy-nilly, not-Amber.

If you play it, they will win.

Cristal?

Much appreciated, not-Amber!

April is a lovely name but I love how not-Amber has stuck around.

To be fair, I remembered it as "April, not Amber" but figured that was creepier than just using "not-Amber"

Anybody got a line on an old school VPI hat?

VT should drop the bodybuilder hokiebird and bring back the Fighting Gobbler. Keep the Hokiebird mascot on the sidelines for the kids but all merchandise should have the Gobbler, just call it the Hokiebird. I hope Whit is reading.

the Fighting Gobbler

Or, as I like to call it "the upside down ballsack." And now you can never un-see that. you're all welcome.

EDIT: I was referring to this:

I actually think this one's awesome and should never have gone away:

I hate you so much.

Agree, the second pic (Gamecock style Gobbler) is what I was referring to. SC fans are always getting my Gobbler shirt confused with their mascot.

And this is probably reason number 1 why we moved away from that logo.

I told him I’d crawl on my hands and knees to be the DL coach at Virginia Tech. Now, all of a sudden, I’m sitting in this chair and I told him I’d still crawl on my hands and knees to work here. I just want to be here.

I still wear my 1979 vintage zipper sweatshirt with that logo.

Definitely the best logo of them all. Bring it back!

That 3rd hat is exactly what I'm after. Thanks!

Can anyone with knowledge of the rebranding/licensing chime in here?

Why did we pull all retro logo merch a few years back and how is 47 Brand producing it again?
Will Nike ever be able to produce retro merch again?

I never understood it. The best selling hat on campusemporium.com is an old TV hat, so clearly it's what people want.

I can't find a specific piece to link to, but in a conversation I had with Whit in Fall '15, he complimented my T-over-V sweater and said that they were intending to bring back the Fighting Gobbler and T-over-V logos because he had enjoyed them so much while growing up and wanted to get back to the roots of the program.

IIRC, Fall '16 was the first time I'd seen the retro merch back up for sale. The previous decision to remove all retro gear was made in 2012, well before Whit showed up. I applaud him for opening up the vault to the entirety of our rich history. As far as who can produce what using the retro branding, I have no idea.

I have one of the "T in the V" hats in orange, and on the back it has the ( increasingly hard to find) early 70s state of Virginia logo with "TECH" written across it. Always thought that logo was sweet.

I would take either fighting gobbler over foghorn leghorn, any day.

Thanks everyone -- Hokie Nation rallies to the cause!

What hat size are you? I have a Nike fitted T over V hat that is 7 3/8 or 7 1/2, I believe. It's a little too deep for my head so I never wear it. I buy Nike 7 1/4 ones and use a hat stretcher so that it fits my dome. I keep it simply because it was the only fitted one that I have come across.

Would you still be interested in selling? Been looking I'm a 7 3/8 size and have been looking for a fitted or snap back, old style VT for a couple of years.

Bumping this to see if anyone knows where I can get a fitted or snapback style of one. The baseball team had ones for a while and I've been trying to get my hands on one like it or similar forever. Think they may have had ones that were white above the bill too

Mine has a latch instead of snap back, but Campus Emporium had plenty a couple weeks ago. I got the orange, which is super burnt, but the maroon looks almost exactly like that. I'm sure you could find it on their site

I'm wearing a fitted one right now but no idea where it was bought. It's a
