Don't get me wrong, I love LET'S GO HOKIES. I grew up on that chant. But I wonder if we should add to our chant/saying aresenal. In buses and subways on the way to Bowl games we need additional ammo. While LET's GO HOKIES is classic, strong and affectual, I would like to add FIGHT GOBBLERS FIGHT.
Taken from the words that once adorned our beloved Lane Staudium FIGHT GOBBLERS FIGHT is strong, unqiue, timeless. It's a throwback to the days of beating VMI in Victory Staduim in Roanoke VA.
Let me know what you think...

The Gobbler is Awesome
It needs to be integrated more. "FIGHT GOBBLERS FIGHT", is pretty straight forward too. I'm partial to GOBBLE GOBBLE BITCHES though.
I agree that we need another chant to use. During games it's not a big deal, but I can remember being at College Gameday in Atlanta this year for the Bama game. Us Tech fans used "LETS GO....HOKIES" and "Lets Go Hokies (Clap, Clap, Clap, Clap, Clap)" a million times. We also threw in the "Old Hokie" at one point. Bama however had a tons of different cheers to say, I also noticed the same thing at the Chick-fil-a Bowl this year against UT and the Orange Bowl against Cincinnati. It's not a big deal, but a few more chants wouldn't hurt.
Thank Weaver...yet again
I totally agree! However, the band has had a number of cheers banned by Jim Weaver as some old grandmother wrote in to complain once....Remember its all about respecting the opponent...even as we drive them into the ground!
