Virginia Tech, your scheduled FedEx arrival is delayed a day.
The Hokies' contest against West Virginia is now set for a Sunday, September 3 kickoff at 7:30 PM.
"Thousands of our alums call Northern Virginia and the Capitol Region their home, so the chance to play in an NFL stadium in front of so many Hokies should be a great experience for our players and our fans," Virginia Tech head coach Justin Fuente said in a release. "We're also excited to showcase our program on national TV for a primetime audience, as we renew our rivalry with a talented and well-coached West Virginia team."
And as a reminder, the Black Diamond Trophy will be up for grabs.
@thekeyplay Great question. I will find out! Please hold :) Big win for VT in 2004 as I recall. Bringing home the Black Diamond trophy.— Whit Babcock (@WhitBabcock) July 15, 2014

The Drama!...
Interesting that they changed it. I have a wedding on September 2nd and wasn't going to be able to go while a friend who bought tickets has a wedding on the 3rd and now won't be able to go...
I swore off going back to that stadium after USC, Boise State and Cincinnati but...

I have a wedding out in Louisville...I was suuuper pissed when I heard they scheduled on the opening weekend (still not stoked), but this helps a little bit.
where can i get tickets? Like lots of them?
Dan Snyder's cold, dead fingers
As a Redskins fan, I wish...
Scott McLeweyn family suite. Heard he's not gonna be needing it anymore
Is that the GM who is replacing Scot McCloughan? ;)
Not a skins fan, shooting that zinger from the hit (phrasing). Guess I missed
Oh, so they're going to move it to a primetime game on Sunday.
If its anything like the Boise game, the lots won't open til 2 and the metro will shut down by 11. Have fun, anyone who goes!
FedEx Field lots don't open until 4 hours before kickoff.
So... 3:30. And yes, the Metro will still shut down at 11.
Oh right, thanks for the clarification!
Well, at least we can always head to those local bars to.... oh wait... nevermind
The Copper Lot was the place to be for Boise. We were out there tailgating by 9:30am.
Would anyone be interested in a TKP party bus?
only if you swing through gaithersburg and pick me up
whose got two thumbs and is super interested?! THIS GUY! but first i need tickets please halp
EPIC reference my friend.
Not until you finish your weather report!!!
Shotgun.
Wow, a limo! Shotgun!
... and miss the party in the back? Really?
The bus in and out of that area is the only way to go unless you have a helio! Take the survey!
Cousins Survey
If this is messed up.....just popped my cherry on survey creation.
Not sure how I feel about this, being that we had our plans all set for Saturday-Sunday and didn't want to be driving back home on Monday. Ah well, we'll figure it out.
Think we could get Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth to get up from hibernation a week early?
I hope not, I have a lot of strong opinions about sports commentary and Chris Collingsworth is the absolute worst.
Preach.
Yeah - i cant stand him.
But then Disney might have to give Oswald the Bunny back to Universal...
Fuck Fedex field. I guess with the holiday people can do the Sunday but it is still a miserable place to get too, park at and leave
Never been there, but I frequent M&T Bank Stadium in B'more for a fair # of Ravens games. Other Ravens fans I know who have been to FedEx don't like it, but I can't tell if that's based on a biased opinion or not. But hey, if it is good enough for Army-Navy and other Navy games (ND, OSU, etc.), I think M&T would be a great venue for some of these marquis VT games. Only down side is the drive from VA and the DC burbs. Also, might be hard to schedule with Navy and UM wanting their marquis games at M&T, and working around the Ravens schedule (if a Sunday game was desired). Mass transit schedule to M&T also sucks, so I think that's more a regional problem with a bunch of half-wit clowns running those respective shows.
If Maryland hadn't run off to the Big Ten, we'd have played a game at M&T circa 2013 or 2014.
And now the keychain schedule I got from the hokie club has the wrong day on it......my OCD is going haywire.
This makes student travel to the game a bit easier:
When I was in school, we went to class on Labor Day and we liked it!
