Yep, that about sums it up. Happy that both of them are starter quality. Would have to RS Fuller, as Facyson probably is more advanced due to arriving in January and going thru the spring. Very likely though that Fuller will be playing on Sundays in 2016, unless his family pushes him to stay and get his degree. Sure am glad they are Hokies, they are taking the sting out of losing Exum.

and the 'Fuller' name is becoming recognizable at both the CFB and NFL levels- it'd be nice to have Kendell on campus one extra year, for recruiting etc.

Since Facyson has had the more production off the two, it's obvious in hindsight to say that Kendall should be redshirted. But as they say, hindsight is 20/20.

True. Plus, Kendall always seems to be right on his man and has the athletic ability to stay with just about anyone. Facyson, on the other hand, has such insane closing speed (see French's film review), that he can play off just a bit (and it's most likely by design of Bud's system/Gray's coaching). It appears QBs believe they have an open man when in reality, Facyson is closing for the pick.

True, I was just going in terms of the numbers but I guess the lack of numbers shows that they're throwing away from him. I wonder what opposing teams are going to do when we have Exum and two Fullers or Exum, Kyle and Facyson with Kendall rotating in. This secondary could easily be one of the best we've ever had.
Could be the topic for a whole new thread, but where do you guys think this group of corners ranks all-time?

It's tough to put anyone above the 2007 group - Macho may not have gone too far as a pro, but you could count on him for a pick a game... he was just a ball-hawk. And Flowers was (and still is) one of the best corners in the game. Meanwhile Kam mashed it up from the Strong Safety position and was just an animal. That entire 2007 secondary was absurdly good.
The awesome thing is... even as I write this, I'm really not sure which one is better. This one is definitely up with the 2007 one as the best I have ever seen here.

This one has to be up there. Macho and Flowers were sick, and Kam, even not in his natural position, was a wrecking crew. Those three might have been the best in college football, and Flowers and Kam are both some of the best at what they do in the NFL. But we have much more depth this year than we had that year. So I'd have to go with this year (with a healthy Exumtaur) over that group, because the drop off after the starters here is practically nonexistent.

Impossible scenario and answer, but I'll say that while Facyson has the picks, Fuller has been better in not only pass coverage but run support as well. He's got a couple TFL's.

If if's and butts were candy and nuts we'd all have a merry Christmas.
They are not getting redshirted. As you will see in our defensive film review today, both have tremendous value. That is reality. Waste of bandwidth thread.

I know, but after this year Exum and Ky. Fuller graduate...this year would be the only year you'd consider it (once Exum is back). Facyson and Ke. Fuller will be our top two corners next year.

You are so right sir about Facyson and Fuller being incredibly talented freshmen who bring "tremendous value" to the Hokie defense. Neither will ever be redshirted barring season-ending injury.
That being said, "With great power comes great responsibility" (Ben Parker/Voltaire) Not sure that you flaming a pleasant discussion of the 2 athletes relative merits warrants with the comment "Waste of bandwidth thread" is the most appropriate way to enter the conversation.
Everyone here (that's not a UVA troll) deeply respects your opinions and analysis, so your hammer carries a LOT of weight compared to the rest of ours. You and Joe can figure out whose is bigger, but please go easy on us little guys. BTW, looking forward to your analysis of the offense this week, especially why we were unable to run the ball.

Hmm I think the real question is which one is the better player..hmm that's a tough one. They both appear to be 5 star talent. I think Brandon plays with more aggression like an nfl ball hawk who enjoys taking chances. I'm glad both are HOKIES!

none of the above
False!
No, but I see some young DBs getting to RS and develop because of their excellent performance this year

Might be because no one is willing to throw at Kendall. They know he's a Fuller.

Could we even redshirt them at this point if we wanted to? They've already played in 3 games...
You don't have to use your redshirt in freshman year.
I know, but after this year Exum and Ky. Fuller graduate...this year would be the only year you'd consider it (once Exum is back). Facyson and Ke. Fuller will be our top two corners next year.

Bud Foster would rip your arms off for asking this question.
Then you would have to replace them with hypothetics.
I'd say Facyson. Kendall has been shutting everyone down. He doesn't have the interceptions because nobody is throwing against him.
Sam Rogers wont let them be redshirted
Also, Sam Rogers does not like hypotheticals
Cody Journell. He's just not ready for the pressures of collegiate football against mediocre opponents.
