Looking on the bright side, I'm happy this game is on television and doesn't need to be streamed on ESPN3. I wonder if we struggle to sell out Lane again?

breakfast tailgateeeeeeee
Hell yea!
Needs bourbon! :)
hell yeah! gonna have bacon, egg, and cheese croissants going on the griddle washing it down with some kind of lite beer and ice cold sips of whiskey. gonna need that energy drink on the way home though.
We got a shutout against Bowling Green for the Military Appreciation game, let's do it again for this year's!
Only good thing about this being a noon game is I plan on going camping right after the game.
/drink
Awesome another 5:00am tailgate an hour before game time here in Hawaii. Thanks Weaver!
That's dedication. I can barely make myself get up at 9 so I'm awake enough to watch at 10...
Thanks! Try hard to never miss a game. Still nothing like being in Lane Stadium and don't know when that will happen again but always looking forward to it!
Stop your whining, you're in HI (where I used to live)! After the game you can surf and/or attend a luau. In Chicago I may be shoveling snow! Enjoy the game, and the beer w/ your Cheerios.
Ha ha I hear ya! Grass is always greener right. More of a SUP'r not a surfer. Fun watching these kids surf though amazing.
Whenever I hear anybody who lives in Hawaii complain about ANYTHING, the appropriate response is definitely,
"Shut up. You live in Hawaii."
Nice play, ChicagoHokie."
But I don't want to be on the MV field before 8 in the morning. :.(
ENJOY IT WHILE YOU CAN!!
Agreed, won't get any experiences like it once you graduate. Have the fun enjoying the experience while you can!
Don't worry I enjoy the experience once I'm in Lane, and will yell so much that I will lose my voice no matter who we are playing. That being said like most college kids I'm not a morning person, and I've really enjoyed the night/afternoon games a lot better than noon kick-offs. I'm also still bitter that we don't have a Thursday night game this year to the point that I may not eat real food for a while to go to Atlanta for the second time in under a month.
8 am practice? That's cute. We'll end up having practice probably an hour before that since we've got both pregame and halftime shows, and then a Hokie Walk right after the joint practice. And we don't get the wonderful crutch of booze during the game. I'd kill to have y'all's gameday schedule.
At least it's on tv..I'm happy for that!
Guess we are doing a brunch tailgate! Grilled French Toast, anyone?
Gah that sounds amazing..
oh my lord I want breakfast now. I love french toast anything.
chocolate coconut pancakes will be had at our tailgate.
and some bacon. because bacon.
probably hash brown casserole as well. breakfast potatoes are the best.
Chocolate coconut pancakes sound amazing!
We were looking at doing mimosas with BrunchGating, but I think we've upped the ante to tequila sunrises because they are (sorta') VT's colors.
Our tailgate buds had them in Hawaii a few years back and they've been a tailgate staple ever since.
Also, it is totally appropriate to classify a tequila sunrise as Hokie colored.
If it's any consolation the UNC-VT game will probably be a 3:30 start and the Pitt-VT game has a chance to be a night game.
Pitt-VT at night? I don't mean to sound critical, this honestly just curiosity, but what makes you think that? I sorta thought for sure it would be a nooner.
The ACC conference games that day are:
UVA-UMD (LOL, no)
Syracuse-NCState
BC-Clemson
VT-Pitt
That entire lineup sucks, but if the ACC does get a night slot that Saturday I think VT-Pitt would be the best draw. Of all of those games it definitely has two of the better fan bases. Plus, Pitt's two games between now and then are Duke and UVA, so they could potentially be 3-1 going into that game.
Even though it's against BC, you don't think Clemson gets the night game? Clemson seems to be the media lovechild in the ACC these days.
well even if Klimpson get's the 7:30 slot we could still get the 3:30 slot...and that way it'll be getting dark by the end of the game....better than a nooner in any case
....better than a nooner in any case
(turns on best beavis and butthead voice)
huh huh....you said nooner....huh huh....
I could just be stupid here, but is the ACC guaranteed to have a game in each slot each week? I feel like if this was the case, we'd have Clemson or Florida State on television every saturday at 7:30, but I could be wrong.
That's the part I don't know. I never really payed attention to it that much. I just assume we do because if we don't then our TV contract with ESPN might be the stupidest thing ever.
