Crossen was high school teammates with Hokies freshman quarterback Hendon Hooker. The 6'2 180 pound defensive back announced that he will decide between Virginia Tech and the University of North Carolina.

lol, a little OT, but just watched Freaks and Geeks for the first time. Two things stood out, one Jason Segel plays essentially the same character in FG and HIMYM. Two, the actor in the gif^ plays Gilfoyle in Silicon Valley now, and I can't help but think how funny it would be if Silicon Valley tied in this character's story to Gilfoyle's past somehow.
Undeclared was also an awesome show though it also only lasted 1 season.
The funny thing about tying the characters to each other, is that the Freaks and Geeks writers said that IF there had been a season 2, Bill's mom would have married the gym teacher and Bill would have become a basketball playing jock and alienated himself from his friends.

Don't understand the hate for 247 over here. I visit all three of the major sites (TSL being the third) and they all have their strengths and weaknesses. French's analysis is second to none, but 247's recruiting coverage is faster, more frequent, and more in-depth than any other one out there, mainly due to the way the site is structured and the focus almost strictly being in that area.
Believe me, this is in no way an attempted slight to TKP or any other site. All groups are filled with great and knowledgeable people, and IMO taking the different information from all three and forming your own opinion is the best way to do it. If you're as lucky as I am to know a good amount of people close to the program, then it's a great way to compare it to their information as well.
TLDR: TKP, 247, and TSL all have great insiders and every single one of them knows what they're talking about. No need to hate on any of them as their all useful and enjoyable in their own way.
I have an issue with one of the main moderators and 24/7 (Evan G. Watkins) criticizing an article that Koma wrote about Ellis. As that is the sole reason for the decommitment. I don't think you should question the "Journalistic Integrity" of another organization especially where i dont see anything wrong with the article. Then you throw it out in a passive/aggressive way. I haven't been back to 24/7 since that thread. It rubbed me the wrong way.
Understandable, but I was mainly referring to the content of sites as opposed to the writers, and how much crystal balls and different insiders are somewhat mocked over here. Those guys know their stuff and have great sources, just as Koma and the guys do over here. They all just happen to work for different organizations.
I've met Evan a few times at different tailgates and events over the past few years and he's actually a great guy.

Summary: It was implied that an interview that Alex K did seemed to put "ideas"into Ellis' head. Ellis decommits not long after the interview, Ellis decommits. One of the moderators creates a thread entitled "Journalistic Integrity" that implies that this interview is what caused him to decommit initially. It's kind of a moot point now because Ellis has recommitted. Just giving you the backstory..
Right because he would have never realized how many QBs we currently have in the fold as well as having one performing well in the Elite 11 of his own class on his own without Koma's help. Never would have kicked the tires on trying to capitalize on his speed in recruiting on his own.
Idiots. If anything Koma they're suggesting that Koma did the right thing in helping the recruit come to his senses.

I have a feeling we're about to pick up this kid and Kalon Gervin (4* CB from Michigan who de-committed from Notre Dame)... Gervin seems to be really liking the Hokies and a few of his peers predicted he would go there as well.

Is this recent information? I have no sources, but my feeling is that after he decommitted from ND we were one of the first programs to show him some love and he responded to it, but has since cooled on us. He strikes me as a kid who wants to get wooed by a higher profile program (like tOSU). Hoping I'm wrong, he looks like a quality DB.
Fortunately/unfortunately OSU recruits so highly that a solid 4 star like Gervin might not get much love from OSU. Depends how they do with the 5 stars they're in it for

Here's the article from 2 weeks ago with his peers saying they thought he was going to the Hokies. Seems he is a big fan of our DB Coach and Bud Foster. He thinks they're going to be able to get him to the league.
Unfortunately if OSU wants him they probably get him. But they may not want him. He visited before he decommitted by the way. Bus trip with his team.
