I wouldn't be shocked if our coaches shared similar sentiments towards our fans after last season. We had/have some really nasty "fans" who have really badmouthed some coaches. No one on this site though. Just browse Twitter.
To be fair, a lot of fans had spent a lot of money on Tech football for a decade... just to see sub-standard offensive game planning year after year.
I think as a coach you can only complain about your fans so long before you need to look in the mirror and see if they have a point. Sometimes they do.
I remember how angry he looked on the sidelines when we went to play them in '08. That whole series was great for VT Football and it was a little bit of revenge for what his LSU defense did to us the year before!
iirc he got a 15 yarder in that game for calling the ref a cunt.
I also vaguely remember the ref also immediately left the field and wept into his yellow flag inside his rental Corolla....or that's what I would expect the reaction to be after foster calls you a cunt.

He and his team work their ass off week in and week out and in a big game against Ohio State and the fans leave at halftime? The team comes back to win one of the most dramatic ways possible and the fans are not there. He is feeling betrayed and he's angry. I don't blame him.
He's a good coach but a loose cannon. Every coach probably gets pissed off by their fans, but I've heard time and again, and have experienced, how great the Nebraska fans are - love football, and respectful and appreciative of the competition. By the way, their sold out streak dwarfs, and continues to dwarf, ours. Unfortunately.
Not a big Bo fan here, but regardless of my disdain, I don't think he's gonna be coaching them next year. If they make a bowl game, possibly not in the bowl game. Nebraska admin is long-suffering, but there's a limit to their patience. Bo's tushy is getting warm.

I understand why Bo was upset. But ya know, laugh all ya want at Beamer's coach speak and even temperament, but Thank God we have a true southern gentleman for a head coach and representative of our University! (Is there anyone better?...I doubt it!) The reason I can hardly stand some otherwise brilliant comedians, and a lot of rap music in general, is the every-other-word use of the f-bomb. An occasional well-placed curse word can add emphasis and effect and convey extreme emotion, but any more than that distracts from your point and ruins almost any speech. And yes, unfortunately, I curse when aggravated and am not nearly the gentleman in control of his mouth that I was raised to be.

I understand being passionate, but Bo forgot rule numero uno in celebrity protocol. When speaking with any member of the press, no matter the setting, the tape/camera is ALWAYS rolling.
I'm not sure about indicting the entire Nebraska fanbase either. I mean...hasn't that place sold out since like, 1899?

The Head Football Coach is a very visible representative of every university that plays football. Bo Pelini has not represented the University of Nebraska well with his tirade of profanities. The man sounds like a drunken sailor in a bar fight. He is being paid a ridiculous amount of $ to do a tremendously difficult job, and part of that job is teaching his players how to behave like a man in the face of challenges and pressures. His lack of verbal self-control demonstrates emotional immaturity, not passionate competitiveness. Hard work demonstrates a passion to win.
Say what you want about HCFB's "coachspeak" the man knows how to represent the VPI&SU well and has been a treasure for our football program since day 1.
