Corey Marshall will redshirt

Well that will give him two more seasons to play at DE. With Gayle, Collins, and Wilson leaving this year it will be good for us to have him at DE, we need the depth. Moreover, Him playing DT would have been out of complete necessity, not doing anything for his NFL draft stock, since his position is DE. I like the idea. Marshall and Nicoles could be a sick combo. I would predict Dadi lined up on the RT and Marshall over the LT. Marshall, Williams (or Baron) Maddy and Nicoles, that could be a Dline with very little drop of from this last year. Put Nnadi and Walker in the rotation at DT, we will be good on the Dline for a while.

If the redshirt works out for Marshall, DE will be a very interesting position to watch early next year. We will have Marshall (r-Jr), Nicolas (r-Jr), Roth (r-Jr), Ekanem (r-So), Alford (r-So), Dooley (r-Fr), and whoever we pull for the 2014 Class. There's no guarantee that Marshall will earn a starting spot next year - he's going to face some pretty stiff competition.

He'll start over Alford and Dooley because of class, Roth and Ekanem because of experience. He and Dadi should be a nice 1-2 punch off the edges.

I guess there just isn't a place for him out there this year. That's probably why he stepped away to think about it.

Hopefully he recommitted himself like Collins did and we see a new man in 2014. I hope he can become the Million Dollar Man!

I like this a lot. He's a starter mixed in with a bunch of starters along the DLine right now.

Beamer confirmed the redshirt during his weekly press conference. It sounds like he work exclusively at end next year.
