Armani Chatman commits to the Hokies

Chatman, a potential defensive back or wide receiver, recently transferred to 757 power Bishop Sullivan. He is 6'0 180 pounds. Chatman is the 9th ranked player in Virginia and is ranked a three star by 247 Sports. He is the first commitment in the 2018 class from Virginia.

Chatman, Simmons, Turner, and Ellis is a solid WR class and we may still get Mitchell or Spalding. I know Fuente and Cornelsen like between 8-11 WR's that they can use and we are well on the way. 2013 we had Knowles, Stanford, and Byrn (and that was it!). 2017 we know we got Phillips, Carroll, Murphy, (who have experience) Farley, Patterson, Kumah, and Pimpleton (who have gotten praise from the coaching staff) and then Clarke, Savoy, Grimsley and Denmark (who are either just getting there or redshirted last year) I really like where the WR position is headed =)

He just transferred to Bishop Sullivan. Good to open up the pipeline. I wonder if it effects Tank Land?

If he's being recruited as a DB is there still a spot for Kalon Gervin?

Armani would be our 6th DB unless he or Nadir moves to WR.

I think Armani will get a chance on offense and defense. Think he's up on D though.

But to answer your question, Gervin is a take no matter what. As is Daniel George.

Not being superstitious, I generally choose to look at the verbal commitment to VT as a pretty good sign.
