Virginia Tech added another highly sought after North Carolina prospect to its 2018 recruiting class. Linebacker Alan Tisdale committed to the Hokies on Saturday over finalists N.C. State, Louisville, Ole Miss, and Notre Dame. The 247Sports Composite rated the 6-4, 211 pound Page HS (Greensboro, NC) product as a 3-star prospect. Rivals evaluated him as a 4-star talent.

"He's a hybrid-type guy who's got a big frame, long arms is real rangy and he's got the ability to cover," then Page head coach Kevin Gillespie told The Key Play in April. "I think that's what separates him."
Tisdale previously told The Key Play Bud Foster believes he projects to Tremaine Edmunds' backer spot.
Tisdale joins Tar Heel state products: 3-star DL Joe Kane, 4-star WR Tre Turner, 3-star DB D.J. Crossen, and 3-star CB Nadir Thompson to commit to the Hokies this cycle. Tisdale hopes to help Virginia Tech add to its haul.
"The 'NC to VT' movement is amazing," said Tisdale. "We got Tre and DJ already and Nadir Thompson. We're really trying to get KJ Henry. I plan on really recruiting hard too."

He's heavily pursued by some top notch programs and is having fun with the process. He clearly thinks a lot of Virginia Tech, but I'll believe I know where he's going when he signs an LOI!
That said, I think he's worth a lot of effort.
I saw on r/CFB today that a lot of Clemson people seem to think he's a silent commit to them. I would be so happy if we pulled him, I just don't think it's very likely.

Klemp$on has the successful young head coach, a shiny new Natty trophy and a ridiculous new 140,000 square feet athletic center with too many amenities to list. VT only has one of those three. We are going to lose a few recruiting battles in this arena. Just need to beat them on the field to begin fixing this disequilibrium.
