Chipotle Customers Getting Sick Again

Comments
You know where isn't trying to kill its customers?
My personal experience with Moe's says otherwise.

That's because your body isn't used to the quality and lack of a food born illness or disease.
HF...I don't even know where to start with how little that makes sense.
The food is so high quality you aren't used to it compared to the disease ridden swill you have been eating from Chipotle.
Saying Moe's has higher quality food than Chipotle is fucking hilarious.
I'll let the disease free food versus the disease ridden food speak for itself.
Moe's is approximately 3.8% better than Taco Bell, and 1.2% worse than Del Taco. You can't argue with numbers.
Cafe Rio FTW
So... higher quality food and lack of diseases at Moe's results in bowel clearing diarrhea? Maybe you should ask a doctor if that makes sense. If only you knew one...or we're married to one...one who we know, for a fact, prefers Chipotle over Moe's.

She said some other stuff but it wasn't important.

Chipotle is desperate. They're testing queso dip at several locations!

trying to be like the good guys.
The only reason the Moe's/Chipotle debate even exists is because Chipotle doesn't have queso. Smothering anything from Moe's in queso is the only thing that makes it remotely appealing.
Free chips and salsa, plus you can get queso and mushrooms. I like Moe's more as well.

(Edit: thanks, it all looks the same size on my phone.)
I was wondering when the "Moe's versus Chipotle" argument would erupt this off-season.
We must be getting close to camp time. Good, I am tired of wondering who the starters will be and who among the exciting new freshmen will see the field.
Besides, there are no Moe's, Chipotle or any other Tex-mex restaurants in Peru, so I don't have a dog in this fight.
Please continue your entertaining debate now, humorous gifs are appreciated and will be legged.
As a Taco Bell employee...

But at the same time, don't serve bad food.....yeesh
Chipotle is garbage. I still don't understand how they became as popular as they are beyond consumer indifference.
Is it a millennial thing? "I'm going to pay $7-8 for a burrito I could make for less at home, and free norovirus!"
I think their meat is really flavorful, better than Moes or Qudoba, or most other 'fast casual' restaurants.
I've made mock Chipotle burrito bowls at home and they cost more than $7-8 bucks. You're talking chicken, rice, beans, ingredients for marinade, ingredients for salsa, cheese, ingredients for guac....
Chipotle is awesome and is my go to lunch and quick dinner spot.
Moe's is also good but it is comfortably behind Chipotle. Qdoba is trash unless you're getting it at Turner with your meal plan.
YOU TAKE THAT BACK ABOUT QDOBA SKIPPER
You can get Qdoba with a meal plan?
I was born too early.

VT takes their top notch food ranking seriously these days.
I transferred to Tech after my freshman year, the food at my first school was decent. Tech's food blew it away. Lived in the dorms my first year in blacksburg, then off campus for the next three (victory lap). I had meal plans even when I was off campus.
Back then chik-fil-a and west end were the highlights, the stuff at dietrick was decent, and the only place that I really avoided was schultz. (although even that wasn't terrible). This stuff I hear people talking about now blows my mind.
I think even back then we were ranked as the best on campus food in the country, but the 'country club college experience' was just starting to take hold.
Omg. West end london broils...
It's been way too long and dining services has certainly upped their game. Clearly we had it good then, but now? Students have it good now.
"Origami (second floor)

WTF.....man times have changed!
The restaraunt in question is my local franchise. My wife went yesterday unaware of this event and was met by a Chipotle employee at the door saying they were closed for cleaning. I sent her this story today and she realized she almost went on Sunday as well but my daughter was pitching a fit in the car wanting spaghetti o for dinner. Wife is finally thankful for a four year old son palette
We used to live within walking distance from that location as well - just a hundred yards or so down Cascades Parkway- I'd frequent this location when we lived there, but always avoided it after 9pm when it seemed that all of the high schoolers brought their dates to Chipotle for 'late night' dinners.
Franco American saved your family!
"Franco American, when Mom is too drunk to cook"
It's a matter that as a company, they are expecting employees to actually prep, cook, and serve the food correctly as opposed to others whose process is "open bag, dump into container, put container in fridge or work station". The most difficult part for other chains' employees is not continuing to use the spoon they just dropped on the floor.
Chipotle takes a risk by trusting employees and suppliers to do things right and if you've got a bad franchisee/manager not training their people, this happens. And because they had a bad 2015, any instance no matter how small becomes national news.
Which is a big mistake when you pay at, or close to minimum wage, especially when training is bad, which you addressed, but usually training at fast food places is atrocious to non-existent. They're more focused with the speed at which customers/food are dealt with and making money right now than food safety. I could tell y'all stuff about the Blacksburg Hardees that would make you never want to eat there again.
PS Fuck Hardees coupons.
PPS All of these burrito places contain disappointing food, and I still haven't used the Chipotle gift card I got last Christmas.
Which Blacksburg Hardee's?
Asking for a friend.
are there more than one? The one on South Main (across from Kroger) closed and there's a cook out there now. There's that one on Price's Fork across from the visitor's center. Any other ones?
Shows how long it's been since I ate in Blacksburg. :-/ The one on South Main was still there last time I came through.
I never have not nor will I ever eat at Chipotle. I used to just say how can it be that much different than Moes or Pancheros etc. Now I say I'd rather not get sick.
thats like saying you will never eat:
chicken
beef
fish
bologna
pork
turkey burgers
lettuce
tomatos
spinach
cheese
pizza
milk
ice cream
caramel apples
any dairy product
cantaloupe
sprouts
eggs
cucumber
pistachios
organic shakes
nut butter
mangoes
rice and wheat cereals
shellfish
strawberries
salad bars
etc...
because of a past outbreak.
With every outbreak comes backlash. As long as the source is pinpointed, remedied, and retested to confirm cleanliness, there is no reason to say I don't eat that because it makes people sick. It is a miracle every day that we don't eat something contaminated. When it inevitably happens as long as the company admits and works with the health department to fix it, they are alright (assuming it wasn't caused by deliberate measures to save money but risked disease).
I thought the only reason for getting Chipotle was to clear out the pipes when you are constipated?
I'm part of Team Chipotle, but I agree with this. Just gotta invest in some Chipotlaway
Take a leg dangit
Chipotle does not use preservatives in their food, they use lemon and lime juice where necessary. Obviously it is hard to control fresh food for a nationwide food chain that doesn't use preservatives. That's no excuse, it's just their business model. It's your choice what you eat, but nothing is going to be 100% free of putting something harmful in your body unless you grow and make your own food. Fast food chains use preservatives, sit down restaurants will occasionally serve bad food and give you food poisoning, grocery stores recall food all the time. If you'd rather eat food with (possibly harmful) preservatives over fresh food that may make you sick, that's your choice.
Moe's doesn't use preservatives, doesn't freeze their food, cooks fresh in store, uses same free range and antibiotic free meats and organic tofu yet no trying to kill you.
They also have subpar flavor.
I don't have the time to research, but last time I went to chipotle they had a big sign that said they were the only food chain to not use preservatives or additives or whatever, they only use lemon and lime juice. I don't know what Moe's does, but I am pro-burrito so I would like to know more information on both before I start my tasting tour next week.
I think Chipotle tries to not use any processed foods as well. At least that was the reason they gave me for not having queso.
Chipotle only uses whole and unprocessed ingredients. They are an industry leader in this regard, it is a core function of who they are as a company. I believe they are the only national restaurant chain to have a completely preservative free menu.
That is what I thought. The no unprocessed ingredients is the big one that they follow that others do not, especially with how much more flavorful their food is.
Doesn't Panera also boast an artificial preservative free menu as well?
I just ate Chipotle and saw their claim. The sign reads along the lines as the only national restaurant with no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives on the entire menu* (does not include soft drinks).
Either they're not up to date on Panera's policy, or they're not considering them 'national', I guess.
Panera Food Policy
I only eat Chick-Fil-A so it seems I'm safe.
But what do you do on Sundays?
Buy extra on Saturday nights
Inventing the Future - I like it.
Hang out with David Wilson, he eats chick fil a on Sundays
So on Sunday you just sleep it all off?
Y'all can downvote me but ima speak that dam truth:
Qdoba is better than both Chipotle and Moe's.
I was hungover one morning and the tried a Qdoba breakfast burrito.
Legit.
I couldn't agree more and to be completely honest I don't think it's that close. For some reason it's just trendy to say you love Chipotle and that Qdoba is gross.
I'm with RealDiehl and rvaHokie on this. Qdoba is far and away the best in its class. You can't top the way they marinate their meat and that queso is incredible!
But (at least at Turner) they make you pay extra for fajita veggies. Unforgivable sin.
1. Local taco places
2. Moe's
3. Hot Head Burrito
4. Pancheros
5. Everyone else
Agreed. Christiansburg has this taco place called Taqueria El Paso that I've heard great things about but haven't had the chance to check out yet.
I'd argue they're not even in the same category though. Yeah a good local taco joint is awesome, but that's vastly different than getting Chipotle. Apples and oranges.
Why? I'm not talking taco truck/stand, or order from waitress sit down, but local fast casual taco restaurants.
Because the burrito or burrito bowl I'd get at Chipotle, Moe's, or Qdoba is very different from the burrito I'd get from my local Mexican restaurant.
And that's why they are (1). But the going down the line type service is expanding to local places Nd to foods outside Mexican, we had an awesome salad place here but the tourists thought it was too pricey.
Ok. But if we're debating the superior fast burrito place, I don't understand how your local Mexican place comes into the equation. Again, different category.
But all mac and cheese is created equal, I see. /s
By definition yes, its pasta with cheese. It's the lowest form of adult side dish.
You can check your Southern Card at the door.
What's Southeren about an Italian and English casserole dish? Give me fresh grown American veggies any day of the week fried even. But pasta and cheese is great for meals with my kids.
Italians and Englishmen don't put it on a BBQ sandwich tho
Says the guy who puts salt on fucking watermelon.
That's Southern as shit.
Salt on watermelon is great. I appreciate this post since it will finally after a few decades of marriage prove to my wife that my family is not the only one in the world who does this.
SALT ON WATERMELON IS AMAZING. WATCH YOUR MOUTH. Used caps to infer my loud tone.
I get what you're saying, but mac and cheeses are NOT all created equally. I wouldn't touch the "Kraft mac and cheese" stuff I used to eat in college, but I have ordered mac and cheese in a nice restaurant. (Yeah, it was a little bit of a cop out, but I was traveling and "restauranted out", it it really sounded good to me. It was.)
I used to live in Italy, and in the town where I lived there was a pasta restaurant that was one of the best restaurants in town. The menu was different every time you went. You always had 2 or 3 choices, but that was it. No options, you ate it like they served it. All of the options were fairly simple pasta dishes, but they made their own pasta and sauces. It was competitive to get a reservation there.
I'm just pointing out that not all pastas are the same, not all cheeses are the same, and not all mac and cheeses are the same, even if they're not so complicated to make.
If done right, mac 'n' cheese can be an art form. There's a brewpub in Albany and Saratoga Springs called Druthers, and they're probably known locally for their mac 'n' cheese menu just as much as their brewing.
a burrito is a burrito is a burrito, so Chipotle should be higher up your list because it's really no different than authentic Mexican food. how hard can rice and beans and meat in a tortilla be? /s
Actually Burrito is a style of food meaning wrapped in a tortilla. Doesn't have to have meat, can be veggie, or fish, or any kind of meat you can name, you don't have to get rice or beans either. It's hard to make Mac and cheese without pasta and cheese.
And it's hard to make a burrito without a tortilla and stuff to put in it. You have your canvas, I have mine.
Cars have four wheels and a power source, but Porsche > Kia.
I'd move Hot Head up a spot there. If I don't have time to wait for one of the local places, they're the next-best option.
If you're ever in Leesburg or Sterling, go to Senor Ramon's. It'll change your life (and the Sterling location is inside a brewery).
Shorter lines for me...
Shorter lines with longer runs to the restroom too.
If I'm in the mood for a quick fix, I go to Taco Bell
When I want a good burrito bowl, I go to Chipotle
If I'm at the mall, I'll go to Moe's
If I want a meal that I can almost convince myself is healthy, I'll hit up Salsa Fresh
If I want a good meal, I'll go to the Flying Burrito
Those last 2 are for Raleigh people, only
Already touched on, but Chipotle uses natural preservatives. It means that there is always a possibility for naturally occurring food borne diseases to pop up. It's part of the risk of eating real, fresh, truly natural food.
Our bodies have gotten so used to preservatives and chemicals to avoid these naturally occurring diseases (looking at you, Moe's, Qdoba, Taco Bell, etc.) that whenever it shows up in Chipotle it has a huge impact on our bodies and makes big news.
Once Chipotle has queso, there will be literally no argument to what is the GOAT. End of discussion.
Moe's also doesn't used things like MSG. Chipotle just had a great marketing team and money from McDonald's.
It will be interesting to see how they will be able to mass produce their queso with good quality control without using any processed ingredients. As I mentioned above, that is the sole reason they did not want to add queso to their menu.
Moes queso is also crap. I never saw it as a plus. The only positives at Moes are Moes Monday and you get chips and salsa, albeit they have almost always been stale every time I have eaten them.
Food poisoning is not a good way to encourage preservative free eating in my opinion. With that said, I think they are in the same boat as vehicle recalls now where people pile on once its a national story.
If you're in the DC area, District Taco is the absolute king of all fast casual mexican

Also, Willy's is my favorite in Atlanta
District is amazing.
In Leesburg (and Sterling for that matter), Senor Ramons Taquiera takes the crown - I swear those tacos have crack in them.
When I worked in NOVA I'd go to Baja Fresh for lunch all the time. They were pretty good.
RIP Baja Fresh. Here in Jersey we have a passable replacement called Taqueria Los Gueros
BOOM. Get a punch card, they add up pretty quick. so good.
A Wrong Doug from Moe's is hands down better than anything Chipotle makes.
That being said my go to is now Tijuana Flats. Flautas or a Smack My Ass Banging Chicken Burrito are my new favorites.
Tell me more of this delicacy.
Very lightly breaded fried chicken tossed in their Smack My Ass And Call Me Sally Bangin' Chicken Sauce. Its their version of Buffalo, but it has more a of traditional hot sauce taste to it.
They have a whole line of Smack My Ass sauces available on their hot sauce bar.
Hot Sauce Bar > Salsa Bar.
Agreed here, if we're talking the big 3... Wrong Doug from Moe's is tops, everything else is about evenly second place. Chipotle makes a big hubbub about stuff I don't think is a big deal, but I don't actively avoid them, and I don't think they're better or worse than the other two on any given day.
So miss Tijuana Flats, several down in Jacksonville and a great default for quick mexican.
TJ Flats>Chipotle>Moes
While we are bringing up favorites: For those travelling on I-81, the Baja Bean Company in Staunton is our official rest stop. We try to stop there coming and going. Good take on Mex-Merican food and great beer.
Pronounced Stahhnton, has a cool downtown district with some great restaurants.
Um... what? First syllable rhymes with "ant". Or maybe "Anne", with the second syllable essentially being an extension of the "n" with a pause in the middle.
Dude, us Southerners don't do phonics.
So how do YOU pronounce McGaheysville?
Like all the other wacky Valley folk. After living here for 18 years it grows on you.
Hmmm, all I know is when I pronounce it, I have to fight the gag response and wonder who ever thought it sounded better pronouncing it that way. I get Staunton, I get Buena Vista, but I still don't get McGackeysville. How did they get there?
81 to 33.
Leg. You win.
I think it is the drawn out McGaahh-esville pronunciation that just kinda sounds like McGackeysville.
Yeah, I'll buy that that's where it came from, but it doesn't sound like McGackeysville that they say these days, it IS McGackeysville that they're saying. I lived in the area for many years and have relatives in the valley so I'm there regularly. Don't know why it bugs me, but it has since about 1978, so you'd think I'd have let it go by now, huh?
If your going to be in the Harrisonburg area in the fall or spring, let me know. Maybe we can go swing a flie on a blueline.
Thanks for the kind offer. Other than Mossy, I haven't fished in the valley since a long ago trip on the 'Doah with my friend Chuck Kraft. That was one of the most impressive smallmouth trips I've ever been on, with multiple citations and even a 9-1/2 lb largemouth. Of course, that was a while back, for sure. Heading to Canada this fall for a month of camping/exploration (never been), but maybe in the spring. I'd love to meet up and have something to do while Mrs. Fish visits with my out-laws in Bridgewater.
"Kevin."
You're not wrong, there's a reason the first syllable of Buena Vista rhymes with "view"
Though, I never knew how good I had it until I moved north, and encountered places like Saugerties, Schenectady, and Schaghticoke.
Love me some Baja bean. Went there all the time when we lived in cville and the Staunton location does not disappoint.
I must say I've been in cville for 32 years and I haven't been to Baja Bean. My wife heard some horror stories, and she has had no desire to visit. Yet we go to Chipotle occasionally. And yes we've been to Qdoba. Both seem good with slightly different strengths. Unfortunately, no Moe's in the area.
to be fair a lot of that may be colored by HS naivete: I had friends in different bands that would play gigs at baja bean so I was there a lot. Much like my taste in movies from back then, memories of the quality may not have stood the test of time. I have been to the Staunton one recently and it was great, but I'm sure there's some serious room for variation.
Moe's is being built on the south east side of Harrisonburg right now.
Is there a Moe's anywhere in the Richmond/Short Pump area?
One on Broad and one on Three Chopt, at least there used to be.
7011 Three Chopt Rd, Richmond
10839 W Broad St, Glen Allen
7225 Bell Creek Rd, Mechanicsville
13901 Midlothian Turnpike, Midlothian
The Moe's on Three Chopt is sub-par, and it's the closest one to me. Life is suffering.
In contrast, the Baja Bean Co in Richmond is a great place to smell last night's vomit in the bathrooms without fully enclosed shitters
You know what else Staunton has? A bootleg singlewing
@FearTheWing
My wife likes both Chipotle and Moe's, and has managed to drag me to the first once, and the second 2 or three times. I have to admit I cannot tell the difference, and believe I can make a better bowl or burrito at home for less, and often do.
This Moe's- Chipotle debate is almost getting political.
What kind of sneakers do you guys think the CEOs of these company wear? What kind of whiskey do they drink?
I guess it's OK to lean over the sneeze guard and point out your toppings when you're the Prez.
I guess...
I'll throw a little more gas on this.
If you go to iwaspoisoned.com, look what they use as their example.
That might be the example, but the cited case was Chipotle...
I know, I'm the one that cited it.
I just thought it was funny that they have both on there.
"Doctor visit: No"
Sure can't say that for the latest incident at Chipolte.
I laugh at your weak interpretation of food poisoning
get back to me when you're bed ridden for 48 hours with essentially a constant stream of essence coming out of both ends, unable to eat solid food for 3 days. Lets just say I'll never visit that sushi place again.
lol
Yep. In 11 years in the workforce I've only taken 3 sick days* for two separate incidents of food poisoning. The most miserable I've ever been in my life.
*I've a job that I can do remotely vast majority of the time. So when I get a cold, flu etc. I just work from home. So I'm not the a-hole who passes the crap around to the whole office.
That is "Moe's Tavern", as in the bar in The Simpsons, not "Moe's Southwest Grill"
I actually was aware of this, but it just made it fun for the sake of this hilarious debate.
Qdoba tore through me last night like a freight train. No one is safe.
This topic has pushed the Key Players Club up 4 more members good job everyone.
This thread has referenced so many restaurants... none of which I'm eating at because of my weight loss goal.
... down 25lbs so its working, but fuck I'm hungry.
If you want some help with that, I know a great sushi place you should try sometime
I restrict my gas station diet to egg salad sandwiches...
At least they make you smarter.
Fish tacos!!
And the hits keep coming for chipotle
"Some diners at a Dallas Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurant said their lunch was ruined by rodents falling from the ceiling on Tuesday."
http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Rodents-Fall-From-Ceiling-of-Dallas-Chi...
I think I'll stick to Moes
Too perfect not to post.

When I was in San Diego last year for 2 months I was living on Rubio's. Why can't they open places like this on the east coast?? Although I found Baja Fresh up in Annapolis earlier this year and pretty good too.

Rubios is about one of the best chains you can get out there. Incredibly delicious.
But if you go to San Diego, you gotta go to Lucha Libre and get the Surfin California burrito. It will make you forget all about the silly Moes/Chipotle debate.
On the subject of San Diego Burrito places, i'll throw out Colima's in Oceanside. Little hole in the wall but oh so good.
holy fuck, I'm hungry.
As a San Diego State alum, I'd say Rubio's is a big old "meh" (too "corporate" in taste) compared to the likes of Lolita's and Roberto's. Carne asada burrito, carne asada fries or California burrito (add fries to carne asada burrito).
Love me some Rubio's
And now we have this: Rodents Fall From Ceiling of Dallas Chipotle
Seriously?
A Chipotle spokesman said: "This is an extremely isolated and rare incident and certainly not anything we'd ever want our customers to encounter."
Yeah, probably could happen anywhere, but not a good look at all, and horrible timing.
This thread is just exploding the Key Players growth. All the way up to 513.
Relevant article,
You're welcome.
Nope growth started same day as this thread. I mean what else could it POSSIBLY be?
For those that did not know, Chipotle nationally released their take on queso this week, and it is terrible. I enjoy Chipotle, but I never thought they would be able to create a non-preservative,unprocessed, good tasting queso. That is like an oxymoron and my thoughts were correct. It is gritty, bland and overall awful. Seriously, don't even think about going to try it. It is not worth the cost.
So just like the rest of their "food".
Just because Chipotle has been around your entire life doesn't make it good food.
Hokie Fireman, you should've added in the rest of the comment
before "rest of their 'food'".
Turns out it's very difficult to make real food taste like the fake stuff.
You can make good queso without fake stuff. I'm guessing they are trying to make it in store and whoever made it didn't get the roux right. A roux sounds easy to make, but you can mess it up pretty easily. Probably more so if you are trying to make a large batch of something. If it was gritty I'm guessing the roux didn't cook enough before they added the milk product.
Even still, you should be able to taste something. It literally did not taste like anything. I did not taste any peppers or spices which are what makes the queso great.
I was so disappointed... I have been twice and was hoping I just got a bad batch the first time. It was even worse the second time.
Had it today at lunch, was really excited, but I agree, it was awful. I almost wanted to go to a 7-eleven and cleanse my pallet with some tostitos queso.
The rest of the meal, however, was its normal delicious and way the hell better than Moe's self.
Same here. I have yet to have a good meal at Moe's over the past 10 years of my life. This spans Moe's across different states, Moe's at 2AM, and Moe's after not eating for 24 hours. They always find a way to let me down. Whether they are out of chicken when I want chicken, out of steak when I want steak, chips are always stale, and so many more complaints. Every time there is just something wrong. Also their queso is just cheese sauce, not queso. It doesn't even taste like they use any spices on their meats. Their rice is awful compared to Qdoba and Chipotle. I just don't know how someone can like that place more than any of other fast food burrito restaurants.
Came here to say I've still been enjoying my chipotle and their superior quality ingredients compared to Moes as much as I always have.
Chipotle, Moe's, Qdoba... they're all just glorified Taco Bells. Mexican is one cuisine where if it isn't authentic, it's garbage. Give me carnitas in soft corn tortillas with pico, avocado and lime from a food truck over "fast-casual" Mexican every damn day.
...man, these street tacos I had one time in Seattle from this no-name taco truck were the absolute best...i miss them so.
There's a tamale truck in my area that embarrasses every Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten at. A different food truck used to set up at local farmer's market and would make you an omelet with any veggies you wanted. (You pay for the veggies, of course.)
Food trucks are where it's at right now. A food truck got awarded a Michelin star for the first time not too long ago.
The food truck didn't get a star. A food stand in Singapore got a star, and the owner also owns a food truck. Still, pretty remarkable, and the place (and truck) must be amazing. I'd eat at either one.
Most of my food truck experiences have been very lackluster. I will say I've had excellent tacos from a truck but more often than not it takes way too long to get the food between waiting in line and prep time, the quality is average at best, and the price is similar to a brick and mortar store.
We get spoiled here in Phoenix.
There is a "chain" (I think maybe 3 locations) called Ranch Market here which is a fully stocked Mexican grocery plus cafe.
Talk about authentic. Whenever I feel like really blowing the diet, I got and get some of their chicarrons fresh out of the oil crispy skin with attached fat on em, have them chop it up and put in a taco with their homemade salsa verde....mmmm
But I agree, Chipotle is crap
It's all carb loaded shit!
Carbs optional...
My standard MO is to ditch the tortilla and go bowl, that's minus -320 calories / -50g carbs right there.
For further carb cutting, ditch the rice, going 'salad bowl' with lettuce optional. That's another -210 calories / -36g carbs
Lettuce
Black Beans
Fajita Veggies
Chicken
Tomato Salsa
Corn Salsa
Red Tomatillo Salsa
Cheese
---------
585 calories
18g fat (8g saturated) = 165 cal = 28%
51g carb = 210 cal (10g sugar, 14g fiber) = 36%
51g protein = 210 cal = 36%
That's a pretty good macro balance....
For max value you can go bowl w/ rice + tortilla on the side (Free) + 1/2 each of two proteins (you wind up with 1.25-1.5 servings of meat), then split the contents of the bowl 60/40, eating the larger portion, and saving the smaller portion and the tortilla for your next meal. Ratio gets a bit carb heavy, but you end up with two 550cal meals for the price of 1 585 cal meal.
Noice!
Just choked on my beer at the airport for this comment and your signature combined. Musky is lost.
