That's a lot of prime matchups at Cassell. I can dig it. Also: when's the last time the defending national champions in football and basketball have come to Blacksburg?

I found TKP after two rails from TOTS then walking back to my apartment and re-watching the 2012 Sugar Bowl. I woke up the next day with this username.

I am 100% here for this schedule. So many fantastic matchups at home, which will really give us a chance to show off the program to recruits and show the country basketball is back in Blacksburg.

With the hype NAW is getting right now at one of the summer league things, I think we're right in the mix for a double-bye this year.

While the home/road games are tough, you can't complain about the road games very much. I tend to think it's good to have plenty of chances to get big wins at home too.

Joffrey, Cersei, Ilyn Payne, the Hound, Jeff Jagodzinski, Paul Johnson, Pat Narduzzi.

It really sinks in how good the ACC is looking at that schedule. I'd take anything over .500 with that schedule. Gonna need to be be near perfect OOC.

Honestly, 9-9 would still be a disappointment to me. Our home schedule is off the charts this season, but with how good we are in Cassell I still expect to go at least 6-3 at home, with 7-2 maybe a reasonable goal. And we have 2 gimme's on the road, and could easily sneak in 2 more. 10-8 would be good, 11-7 seems reasonable.

This is about as good of a schedule as we could have hoped for. 4 top-half teams as our home-and-homes (great for SoS, and top-flight home schedule, ie sellouts), 4 of our 5 "away only" opponents are in the bottom half of the league (with 2 likely in the bottom 4) for a potential boost in away record, and 4 of 5 of our "home only" opponents being mid-pack at best and expected wins. Should make for an exciting season.

I did say over .500. If we go 7 and 2 at home with this schedule it will be a great season in conference.

What two are gimmies on the road? BC and? I agree with the overall point though. Thinking 10-8 sounds about right to me with 11-7 more likely than 9-9.

WF may compete for the bottom this year - about as close to another road gimme as we will find in the ACC.

Is BC a gimme? We historically have trouble in the sleepy atmosphere of ol Conte Forum.

Wow this is an awesome home schedule! Looks like i'll be buying my first season tickets as an alum to watch the Hokies continue their rise to the top of the ACC!

At least are toughest games are at home.

FYI, the Cassell court design is completely gone. They shaved it down yesterday, and will begin the process of painting a new design this weekend.

Also, the new chairs are almost fully installed, and it looks pretty good.

Can't wait to see it! Any sauces on the new design?

The only person I've seen on Twitter who knows is Clark Ruhland, but he isn't talking

inb4 the Miami, UVA, Duke, Louisville, and UNC games are all somehow during winter break when all the students are gone.

TKPC #666 ...man that was long wait...

I believe this is a prediction based on previous scheduling, and the extensive debates that has triggered here. I'm betting only the NC teams travel here during break.
