It's 13-7 Clemson at the half, a score much closer than anyone expected. Clemson was in neutral offensively for most of the first half. NC State has looked creative as heck and tough on offense, and benefitted from Clemson mistakes on defense.
What's y'all's perception of Clemson right now? Are you more impressed with how NC State has played, or is Clemson, Clemsoning?

I can't pull for Clemson no matter what, just can't.
The whole game I kept saying "I want Clemson to win so we can beat them in the ACCCG." Then NC State would make a play and I'd be excited. I was so conflicted.
Indecision is such an awful thing...lol
I have the game on, but haven't followed all the action. Should we be #goacc or anti Clemson? I'm torn.
I am rooting for NC State. I like chaos. Although, if Clemson were to win out, and we make it to the ACCCG, we potentially would have another chance at beating no. 1 on a neutral field this season. I don't think that scenario is too realistic.
Oh, I am all for chaos! That's part of what I love about the acc. But from a national reputation standpoint, I don't mind having Clemson and FSU highly ranked.
I think, in this case, anti-Clemson and #goacc are synonymous...
Kinda both, NC State has really been rushing them both ways, but Clemson is still kinda playing down to them. There have been some impressive plays on both side (the fake pump screen pass reverse handoff was kinda cool), but this could be a close one. We'll see how it looks after the half with the adjustments.
(As I stated in the coastal thread though, I was listening without sound in the first half so I couldn't hear, but I think those timeouts on Clemsons sides were totally bogus. If the plays get that far into execution it shouldn't count. Maybe the whistles went off early enough, but again, that was my judgement with no sound)

Clemson's defense sucks. I have not been impressed with them. Tahj Boyd isn't invincible. NC State keeps shooting themselves in the foot with penalties.
That said...NC State appears to be Clemson's kryptonite.

I was in the same dilemma earlier on who to pull for for the sake of conference reputation, but it's Clemson... No, Just no. And I too like chaos. I only pull for Clemson during ACC vc. SEC games. I hate the first drive of the 2nd half started like that for NC State... Hopefully they can push back ahead. The penalties killed them.
Clemson is lucky they're not facing OUR defense tonight.

As a fan of Hokies in the nfl it really pisses me off.
I wish our O could move the ball like State does.
I think they'll get there, it might take more than a year though. I really like State's man-ball offensive style though.

I must say though, the receivers for NC State have played pretty marvelous... I suspect we'll surpass that level soon but I can't say our receivers would have made many more better plays than what we've seen tonight. So far from what we've seen this season, anyways. Please don't down-vote me for my opinion :( And Shadrach Thornton? He too is playing fabulous.

Late to the party here, but dissing the refs was completely appropriate in that case. That was a 14 point swing, and it was a HORRIBLE call. Dude was nowhere near the line. And they knew it afterwards. Possibly changed the outcome with momentum shift.

So when I watch our offense it feels like it takes a miracle to reach the 1st down line. A 3ed and 6 for Clemson is no big deal. It's like they run the play they want regardless of the down and distance. I still don't know from a technical football standpoint why it seems so hard for us.
Refs will always provide an unfair advantage to the team it benefits.
NC State should only play on 4th down...apparently thats when they can move.
