Hokies add Maryland cornerback Jermaine Waller
Waller (Avalon School, Bethesda, MD) is Virginia Tech's 19th commitment for the class of 2018 and will be entering an increasingly crowded DBU film room with Chamarri Conner, DJ Crossen, Nadir Thompson, Nasir Peoples, and Braxton Clark.
Waller is 6-2 170 lbs and is rated 3*, .8462 by the 247Composite. Waller committed to the Hokies over 3 other P5 offers, plus LOLUVA.

Do we still have room for Gervin now? Anyways, happy to have a 6-2 corner on board!
With 6 already on the board, I don't see how we could add him. If we didn't need commits in other positions (OL, TE) I'd say one of our, I'm guessing, 2-3 remaining slots would be his.
Makes me think the coaches think that ship has already sailed.
We will have room for Gervin if we need some.
There is no way the coaches turn him down. If he wants to commit to the good guys, even if he waits until NSD, Fuente will make the numbers work.
Always glad to get a big corner, but I don't like what this might mean for Gervin. Is there a chance one of the other DB recruits moves to WR or is intended to be a SS or FS?
We could lose Facyson, Stroman, and Alexander. We need depth after missing on Speed and other last year!

Chatman and Thompson could be safety or wide receivers if we get Gervin too =)
DBU!!!
Upon hearing VT received a commitment from another DB from a border state Pat had this to say:

Fuck Pat Nardummy
I'm fine with the DB depth we are grabbing this cycle. In all likelihood, Terrell Edmunds, Brandon Facyson, Adonis Alexander, and Greg Stroman are gone after this season. We need depth badly. I'm confident that Devon Hunter and Reggie Floyd will be contributors, but I'm seriously worried about Khalil Ladler, Tyree Rogers, and Jovonn Quillen. We already lost Alleyne and Johnson to attrition. Again, we desperately need quality depth in our secondary. We will be playing a lot of young guys in 2018.
Nice. I'm sure he will Waller off the endzone, Fuller style.
