It's going to be a tough pull, but we are definitely in it for him. This is not like other years when we were just a hat on the table - we are in legitimate contention for him.

I don't agree with this sentiment. If you have a hat on the table, it's likely that you were in legitimate contention at some point during the recruitment. IIRC people felt better about Nnadi and Sweat at this point than Henry. My point is it's an oversimplification to make claims about who was in legitimate contention in hindsight.

Yep. Sweat was in Blacksburg and everyone was sure we had him. Nnadi was even more of a sure thing. It happens and these situations are why you learn over time that you have to enjoy the outskirts of the process and relish the kids that you get. Can't get too invested.

I thought we were already in his Top 5? What a letdown - so I guess a decision will come later in the Fall? As these things drag out, my optimism wanes, kinda like the Tucker decision, but at least we're in the conversation.
