I just looked at the overall bracket for the first time, and wow! We really beat up on the SEC. It would be a shame to lose to Iowa State after all that.

Does anyone remember when we were named Best Southern College Town by Garden and Gun Magazine last year? Sure, it was a pretty meaningless honor, but it was fun going head to head with (and beating) Morgantown, Chapel Hill, Charlottesville and Oxford. Plus, there were a lot more voters in that competition.

Yeah, even I probably voted a couple hundred times in that thing, without really knowing what I'm doing or putting a whole lot of effort into it.
well, "layers of security" is a loose term. They added a message saying you can't vote more than once and you could just keep voting anyway because it was just a paper tiger.
These people are clearly using a definition of the word "Best" with which I am unfamiliar. Iowa State beats out Arkansas, F$U, Clemson, Wisky, and then Florida in the "Gameday Experience" category?!!
I mean, I get it, the same logic applies to us... sure, we might beat out USCe and UO, but UTe/LSU/Ole Miss?!

Attended VT @ LSU and I was impressed with the tailgate scene around the stadium. Didn't see any of the town otherwise, so I can't vouch for that, but the tailgating was fantastic.

They had a LIVE TIGER HABITAT. I mean, I know we serve Turkey legs at the stadium, but a LIVE TIGER!

Some radio guy once said they ran through Northwestern like a cyclone. And thus we have ISU nickname, same kind of thing as Bama "tide".
It worked that way for the Wake Forest Tigers, too.
And any day now there will be a team called "Moe's" as in "Those boys tore through the defense like Moe's through my GI tract..."

cyclone is a pretty commonly used term in the meteorology field but no it is not a tornado. Cyclone = essentially a low pressure system and for those of you that have been reading in the past you'll know that low pressure systems typically have less atmospheric stability and more bad weather. Common term you'll hear in weather circles is
"a tropical cyclone" or a "mid latitude cyclone" which have some subtle differences due to their positioning on the Earth (IE thunderstorm height and hot towers in the tropics). Basically when I hear cyclone I think unstable atmosphere which works I guess
