I can only think of one person that I know that went to Marshall so it's kinda hard to get up for it.
I was expecting last week that loeffler would open up the play book and destroy ECU. Turned out that didnt happen, but I could easily see this being a confidence builder game leading into ACC play for our offense. I am NOT sold on the Marshall defense-hype. I think with some misdirection, we will slow down their DTs and LBs and make them totally ineffective. I also see no problem in opening up the playbook, seeing as it's a short week for the bees to prepare for us. Maybe show a whole bunch of looks a la Buds first three games just to F with "chop block" Johnson?

There are a mixture of things wrong with our offense. Some of it is LT, some of it is O-line, some is receivers. The coaches are going to put the best players out on the field. I trust that over a cynical fanbase. It's a never-ending argument on this site and elsewhere. Pulling your senior QB in the middle of a game is a bad idea.

It is a wet rainy day, so any throw is dangerous and his 2int looked like knowles ran a bad route and the ball slipped. That being said, it's a new offense that the whole line, QB and RB's have to learn (this includes routes, timing, blocking assignments, blitz pickup etc.) They have 4 weeks of preseason to get it together and completely green receivers and a few under achievers. If you think Leal, who has barely played, will do better--then fine...but none of us are being paid to coach. We don't know the routes, the timing, etc. YES, LT has made bad throws, but he did the same crap when we had coale and boykin and no one complained because the WR's came down with most of his errant throws...experienced WR's and a good line will make any QB look good. I think we really just have to be patient with this new offense, there is clearly going to be a lot of growing pain. Leal will get his chance....but not today.
on the play with Knowles being blamed, unless he is Mr. Bolt he is NOT getting anywhere near that ball anyway..plus Logan was looking RIGHT at where HE threw the ball...bad route or not he has two eyeballs.
Every Tech fan I've ever talked to either doesn't want Logan to start, or readily admits that he isn't perfect.

I'm upset with the run game calls. When we line up and run at them we are effective. We keep run these slow developing read plays and they aren't working. It is exhausting to watch play calling like last year.
Yes. He won us the game in the end. He may not be the most accurate or intellectual passer, but sometimes all you need is a wrecking ball lined up behind center. He's a wildcat back who still has some level of passing ability.
The defense will play better in the 2nd half and hopefully the run game gets going like it did on the last drive.

This aint Duke from last year. They have a very legit offense...with at least one player on it who needs his ass whooped. Marshalls QB and that spread offense is just going to be tough to stop. Hopefully Bud and the D can improve and get some stops in 2nd half. But we have to score points. Ive always supported Logan but he really got shaky after his first pick. Looked decent to start. His decision making and accuracy have been horrible. Why he has to throw a high 90mph ball on every 5-10yd drag route drives me crazy. We are gonna have to find a way to run it down their throats somehow in 2nd half and hope D can hold them to 7 or less. Thats the only way I can see us having a chance. Think we get running the ball and Logan will come back and play good enough.

Worst decision of the game, and that's saying something.
The issues are Auburn were mostly due to personnel mismatch (spread vs pro) and Gene Chizik messing with everything. Covered extensively elsewhere. I have always thought that we would need at least 2-3 years of solid recruiting under a new scheme to be truly successful. Anyone hoping for an instant 180 was looking through stronger Maroon-colored glasses than even I have ever worn. This year should have been better, though, than what we have seen today.
Our offense is the bottom of the FBS.
I'd like to see a breakdown of how many times we have run the zone read and the yards from it. It has not been effective but it has made up the majority of our runs. This game is going to give me and anuerism.

I personally think that our running woes are coming from the interior players on the O-line I think if Alston Smith could pick up the guard spot he would be starting I think our Guards and Center are getting no push. Our tackles are doing a decent job.
