Anyone making the ECU trip?

My cable provider wants me to pay extra $$$ for CBSSports, so I flipped them the bird and bought tickets to go to Greenville.

Was it a financially sound decision? Hell no.

Does it make me feel good to deprive Time Warner Cable/Spectrum of anymore of my money? You bet your ass it does.

Is anyone else planning on joining me there? If yes, any tailgating plans?

No but those that do can be sure to get recommendations from the 5th Fuller on where to eat...

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

After going to ECU last time we played there and having the worst time ever due to the disappointing game ending and the shit-tastic fans in Greenville, hell no.

"Now Miami wants to talk about it." *Cue Enter Sandman*

Don't spend the night there, drive back to Raleigh/Durham and stay there.

For lunch, go to Sam Jones BBQ or Dickinson Avenue Public House.

Haha, meaning either Raleigh OR Durham, to be clear.

I'm going...driving over from Charlotte.... Where you going to tailgate?

Not a clue. This'll be my first trip there for a game. I was hoping to lean on the wisdom of other TKPers for this endeavor.

I would root for the Russians before I would root for Virginia.

Last time I went I parked in that Belk lot so I plan on trying that again...

My wife and I will be there as guests of alums. Only game I could make it to last season was the bowl game in Charlotte, so I'm hoping my mojo continues. As has been said before in this space, we're their super bowl and they (almost) always show up to play us. Attendance for last three games against us rank in top 15 of their record book, with that game I'd just as soon forget in 2015 coming in third.

My little brother went there so we go to every one of the VT away games there. Since I avoid Fedex like the plague, I was at the game to watch (and laugh at) them imploding against JMU in week one.

Typically tailgate in the Belk lot, it is usually not at capacity so if you get there early enough you can buy a parking pass when you pull up. Was $20 for the JMU game.

Winslow's Tavern and Carolina Ale House both have pretty good beer selections. Sup dogs is a local semi-gourmet hotdog spot which can be good, but the real draw is their Orange Crushes.

We usually stay at the Microtel, which is about 3 miles from the stadium but well out of the fray of downtown. Not a great place but is decent enough to lay your head for a few hours.
