ESPN currently has the line at (-27) for the Hokies for Saturdays contest against Old Dominion. When was the last time Tech was favored by almost 4 TD's against an FBS team? Maybe 2011/12?

Oh yes, a "FBS" team.

ODU is finessing wins by playing Albany and UMass so yeah I agree..."FBS"
I think the spread for ECU this past weekend made it to -26
I didn't like that line at all. Given our history with them, and knowing that was on the road, that had 'sucker bet' written all over it.
Before Saturday's game, we hadn't covered a double-digit road spread in our last TEN tries. With four outright losses.
End of the day, I could give a flying fuck about covering a betting line. But hopefully the days of losing games that we should win easily are few & far between moving forward!!
I don't bet on Hokies games, but for what it's worth we've covered in 6 straight FBS games dating back to the ND game last year.
Yeah I was so confident it was a sucker bet I told my friends that bet that the under on that game at 62 was easy money...they probably won't be listening to me any more.
At the end of the first quarter I was feeling great about not putting any money on that one, despite my urges.
At least I left it alone, and didn't bet on ECU to beat the spread either!
Honestly, after watching ODU's tackling against UNC it wouldn't be a crazy idea taking the over on this one.
Whats the over/under?
not set by ESPN yet but here's the Odds Shark link:

Yeah, with an over/under at 55.5...i just may have to take the over
Update: Tech now -29
I'm a little surprised it opened so low. The computers have it more like it is now.
Other than last week's VT -26 line, the last time was -27 vs Duke in 2010.
Before 2009/2010, it was a fairly regular occurrence. Especially mid '90s through early '00s, when we had a steady diet of Rutgers and Temple on our schedule. Even in 1998 when Temple managed to beat us, Tech was favored by like 36.5.
Fuck that was a horrible homecoming game, why you gotta bring up bad memories for those of us unfortunate enough to be there in person...
