I am a fan of NFL team that just didn't show up yesterday, and it was clear as day the players had no heart.
As ugly as this game was against Marshall, and some of that could be due to the weather conditions, the Hokies didn't quit and gutted out a victory in triple overtime. I am damn proud of that.

Put any top 25 team in the position we were in:
Late in the 4th quarter in miserable weather. An offense that hasn't been able to move all day long. You have to drive the field and score a TD to keep yourself alive in the game.
A lot of teams don't do that, they fold and lose. Not to mention all the hills we had to climb in OT. I have a lot of respect for that team after this week. That toughness we've been hearing about all offseason long is starting to show.
And having the ball bounce, er, slip our way a few times helps a lot too
This, plus it's something the 2012 team would not have been able to do. Heart was something that was severely lacking at times last season.

This is the first game ive missed this year....and honestly i feel bad that i missed it.
As far as hustle and grinding it out goes.....i think this was the best game...by far...that they have played this year....
I work in an ofc full of Vols fans.....(SEC biased at that). When i walked in this morning the first guy said "we thought u were gonna take a sick day today after that performance Saturday"...I said "s*it, that was by far the best game i saw all wknd."
I mean it. It may have looked horrendous to most ppl, but i dont care. We won.It was ugly. We're 3-1. I'll take that.
As long as we're improving, even if its slowly.....i'll take it!!!!

Oh man, I'm in TN and I watched that game in a bar full of Vol fans/alum, and many of them went for the 'if I die of alcohol poisoning maybe this game will have never happened' route after the first half. It was a great day for me after they were busting me for us barely beating ECU
I really like what I'm seeing out of this team. All of tough-love practices before the season started will pay off in future games, just like it did against Marshall.
As a Panthers fan I'm assuming that you are talking about the Giants. And I agree 100%, I can't wait for this team to show GT what this they are made of. GO HOKIES!
