One upset Saturday down, with at least another one to come ... but when? Stay tuned. Like the rest of October, there are only a couple of marquee games this weekend. But, you never know when a Texas Tech will strike, shake the foundation, and move Boise State get that much closer to the national title game. Speaking of national title games, we are only week away from that de facto one, and I am giddy with excitement. A mini-viewing party is in the works at Casa de BCO, complete with beer, BBQ, cornhole and college football at its highest level. ::Breathe:: I am putting the cart before the horse. First, let's see what this weekend brings.

This week's Six Pick was a challenge to write. You are reading my 3rd attempt. Games and content changes were the norm. At first I was angry due to all of the shit games. Instead of being a spoiled, petulant child, I decided to have fun instead, though I had to leave behind some grade-A hate for Manhattan, Kansas, algroh and Lane Kiffin. Sigh, maybe another time. No, your eyes do not deceive you, I have included a hoo game. One of two things will happen, uva will lose and London will want to cry or uva will win and Mike London will cry (while eliminating Miami's chances at the Coastal crown). Either way it's a win for all of us. Halloween is Monday, which means crazy parties, an excuse for wiminz to dress real slutty, and the trick-or-treat edition of the Six Pick. God, I miss college, have fun you crazy kids.

Liking the SOA analogy more every day
Hoos at U - Lieutenant Roosevelt might cry after this one, too. Different reason. Miami covers.
Michigan State at Nebraska - Sparty beats the spread, loses in a close one. Change kickoff to 7pm and I'd say NEB covers at home.
Oklahoma at K-State - Oklahoma and the points.
Florida at Georgia - Only 2.5? Pfft. Dawgs.
Clemson at GiT - Looking forward to Tajh running one in near the student body and yelling "NNNNEEEEEERRRRRDDDSSSS!!!!" Clemson rolls.
Stanford at SouthernCal - Stanford will start by covering 7.5 in the first quarter and go from there. Really want Stanford to use all 3 of its timeouts in the 4th, up a bazillion, because we now know how concerned USC players are with opponents using them.
Agree on the game quality of the weekend
Wow....and what a way to lead it off on Thursday night...wahoos and canes....geesh!!
Miami is gonna play ticked-off football and win by a bunch and cover
MSU wins
Oklahoma has gotta be p.o.'d (and their ears are probably ringing with the shrill tone of big game bob's voice). The sooners rip the can open on k-state, win and cover
Dawgs, but this is the iffy game for me....if brantley plays it might be close, but the dawgs cover
Clemson gets enough defense, and covers with their offense....Algroh looks silly again.
Stanford's D doesn't get enough credit...nor do the USC Song Girls....but the trees stuff the trojans, easily cover
okay
lovely...an 0-fer thanks to the hoos

flossin'
with protection. smart girl.
Im still garbage on the year
Happy Halloween! Im going as Sean Glennon. Minus 5 inches but have Most of my hair.
daU -- Jacory is not being Jacory as much. Heather must've stopped the brain drain.
Mich St -- DadBoner needs something after the Tigers and Lions crapping the bed as of late.
Oklahomers -- I hope you enjoyed the top 10 K-state. The latter part of the season will be unforgiving.
Gators -- Is this an upset? meh. Gators like to play up in the Cocktail Party.
Klemson -- i dont think the score will be high but CU covers
Cardinal -- If Washington was any indication. OUCH.
BotW: Southern Tier 2X IPA
Obligatory.
Miami - Could be interesting with both teams having short weeks.
Michigan State - I'm expecting this to be a low scoring, potentially ugly game.
K State - My gut says Oklahoma, but I think KState keeps it to a 10 point game or so.
Florida - Hard to get a read on the teams since they've had similar results, but I'll go with the Gators.
Clemson - If GT controls the ball and scores, it could give Clemson trouble. Clemson's offense will bail them out though.
Stanford - USC has looked good recently, but Stanford has been blowing out the Pac-12 teams left and right.

If you're ever in Denver, make it to Wynkoop
Miami - i will never pick hooville, EVER
Michigan State - defense is too dirty
Oklahoma - to cover by .5 points (or miss it by 3.5 - that would be frustrating)
Florida - the edge ALWAYS goes to Erin Andrews
Clemson - this is such an easy pick when GT is down in the dumps
Stanford - they will continue their roll
Beer of the Week: Patty's Chile Beer
It's the best and most unique beer I've ever tasted. It has a green chile flavor without any of the spice. I'll be in Denver this weekend for Broncos v Lions. My Saturday will likely consist of a tour of breweries ending at Wynkoop (just down the street from Coor's Field) where I'll indulge in the BotW. http://wynkoop.com/beer/our-beers

This Weeks Pics
Miami: Everyone is back, and like most of the 'Hoos down in 'Hooville, I have little faith in Teddy Graham London
State: But it will be close, I think it takes a quarter or two before the Spartans stop remembering last week and start playing the Huskers.
Boomer: I want to pick KState. I really, really, really do. But I keep remembering the way they let Baylor march up and down the field all afternoon earlier in the year. And Stoops will have his men fired up and ready to steamroll anything in their way. OU ain't out of it just yet, and have lots to play for.
Georgia: If only for vt1coop's contributions. Will John Brantley make a difference against a UGA defense that has found it's way since the first two weeks of the year? I say NAY.
Klepson: What has happened to the GT second half offense? A run-dominant team should be MORE successful as the game wears on, but this year GT has sputtered on offense, especially in quarter 3. That GT early season schedule is looking ever more patsy as the seaosn progresses.
Stanford: Stanford is one of those few teams that can do whatever it wants offensively, and no matter who they play, will be successful in moving the ball. UW is still waiting to hear back from the APBs they put out for their front seven, because they were nonexistent last weekend. What do we make of USC? The easy win over SyrACCuse should be viewed positively after the Orange Crush of WVU last Friday, but are there any other signature wins? ND derped its way to loss, and Utah was overrated. USC gave up FORTY ONE to an Arizona team that (UCLA aside) is pretty f'ing horrible. Luck and Company will have this over by the second quarter.

lets see if i can suck as bad as last week
daU - Miami brings da swagga into an empty scott stadium
Sparticus - though I hate supporting Michael Moore in any way
K. State - Sooners probably win, but not by 13.5
Gators - jorts as far as the eye can see
Bumblebees - i'm probably wrong on this one, but i've been calling it for a few weeks now
Trojans - i like the points and i may even like them to win outright
its gonna be cold this weekend, so i may have to go with the bourbon to stay warm

Week 9
Miami - IT'S STILL UVA
MSU - I originally thought god wanted russell wilson to get a BCS title ring but after last week, eh. If this game was any later than 11AM local, I would take the huskers.
OU - Sooners are pissed and I think K state is overrated.
Gators - UF's women are hotter and their fanbase will be drunker. Gainesville rock city motherfuckers.
Clemson - I want to pick GT but I need to be realistic: two ACC teams have figured out how to stop CPJ's offense and Sammy Watkins could have the god gene. Clemson will not only win but will cause so much hurt that calvin johnson could sustain an injury watching it on his couch in grosse pointe, MI.
Stanford - I hate andrew luck but I hate lane kiffin more. Stanford wins until Oregon then gets destroyed. I stand by this statement.
after a few mediocre weeks
i present yet another...
WAHOOWA (uva does one thing mediocre: stop the run. expect jacory to regress, and maybe get LIT UP again a la 2010)
SPARTY (the blackshirts now play for sparta. i'll take a mean gholston over tmart any day of the week)
KSTATE (to cover. oh-klahoma ain't seen no defenses yet)
UF (coin flip. i still don't believe in the dawgs)
C-L-E-M-S-OOOOOOOO-N (clemsoning, then recovering. take the tigers' points over in the second half. free money)
STAN (never trust kiffin to get his boys up for a big game. never)
Worst Thursday night game ever?
TRICK QUESTION. We have to wait until FSU @ BC to make that determination.
Miami - if two mediocre football teams play a game and no one is in the stadium to see it, does it make a sound?
Braskypants - because I don't care about Michigan State and I like saying "Braskypants"
Oklahoma - I think K St keeps it within 13 but I'm picking this on principle because they're just this month's $5 footlong and I won't give them the satisfaction
Georgia - while I realize this game is the great equalizer, Florida is pretty terrible this year. And as I've said before, a healthy hatred of Florida is one of the few things I brought back from Tennessee (others include: a bunch of shirts that are the wrong shade of orange, tremendous student debt, and a tendency to pronounce "-ville" as "-vull".)
Clemson - its looking more and more likely that we* see an undefeated Clemson in Charlotte
Stanford - LULZ @ KIFFYKINS
*The proverbial "we", not necessarily Virginia Tech. Although I'm optimistic, I'm also far too superstitious to risk bad juju by assuming that the Hokies will make the ACCCG IN PUBLIK (Ron White voice).
Picks
Miami- looking to make London cry again just not out of happiness- revenge game, wins by 20+.
Nebraska- playing in Lincoln.
Oklahoma- bounce back after TT debacle: this game gets ugly- 13 easy.
Florida- Richt's swan song when he loses another game he shouldn't in-division.
Georgia Tech- UPSET pick of the week, offense will keep Boyd/Watkins off field and Clemson's Defense tired and guessing/over-committing on options. SCORE: 38-28. Clemson's natty hopes out the window and slide begins. Still see them winning the division though.
Stanford- Luck is better than anyone on USC defense or overall squad. Tears 'em apart for a big numbers game.
Well there goes pick one....way to not overlook UVA Miami. Nicely done.

Well after missing the last 2 since out of town...

Number 9!
da U. It's a school night and the Hoos need to be in bed by 9
Nebraska. This is NOT Michigan State's year.
K-State Only because it's in Manhattan.
UGA. Florida just can't score. Four in a row???? Urban must be happy he left.
Clemson. On a roll....
Stanford with Defense (see Orange Bowl.)
This season is going by too fast.
The U
Most of you will hate me for posting that, but it was an awesome 30 for 30 and it's the song that plays in my head every time I read or hear "The U".
Sparty is going to layout Nebraska. I don't trust Nebraska's offense against a more physical Michigan State defense.
Oklahoma - I love Bill Snyder. He's a classy guy, fantastic coach and program builder, but a spurred Stoops is nothing to eff with. Oklahoma is going to try to make a statement each week from here on out for a chance at getting into the MNC.
Florida - They always beat Georgia.
Bees to cover, Clemson to win. It should be a great shootout behind two different but effective spread offenses.
Stanford - Andrew Luck
Blurf
Canes - expect them to go all kinds of buck on the hoos.
Huskers - hard game to pick but go with the 3rd largest city in Nebraska
Sooners - hate picking against my old man's alma mater but its the smart move
Gators - dirty redneck/hot girl/cripple fight
GT - winning outright, hows that for a bold prediction? ACC becomes a shitshow at the top once again
Stanford - we should stop putting these games on here
(because I'm away from home and can get away with googling women on the internet again)

nice
pooper
Let the Upsets Keep Comin!
Here are all of the teams that I would like to see lose this weekend:
UVA - Since we have already beaten Miami, we might as well let the media get hyped for da U for a few weeks before the NCAA kills their program.
MichState - I always like to see teams get crushed the week after a big upset so that their heads don't get too big and with MSU beating ND, Michigan, and Wisconsin... their heads are pretty big!
Okrahoma - It would be hilarious if OK lost to an out of no where KState team.
Florida - Georgia is no threat to do anything this year, so I think it would be better if Florida had just an awful season! Plus I don't want Georgia to get a real coach.
Georgia Tech - Clemson will essential help us clinch the coastal division by beating GT and ensure a rematch in Charlotte. Which I highly recommend everyone attends it is a great time!
The Cardinal - I'm very tired of the Luck it is time for them to lose. David Wilson for Heisman!!!

Seattle Hokie Week 9 Picks
Like VTJawo, I am exhausted and not boozed up so I am only picking the Thursday game. We had our company yearly kick off meeting in Seattle this week. There was a group of about 20 Australians in town for it. At 2:00am last night I was giving the options of A) Going home B) Going to McDonalds with a few hungry Aussies and C) Go to some girls place and keep drinking. I chose C) and ended up drinking beer out of a honey-badger coolie. What type of beer it was is irrelevant. If you ever have a chance to party with Australians, do it. Just don't have plans the next day. I got home at 4:45am and really struggling right now.
Miami - No real reasoning behind this one as I can't really see straight right now. I guess I can go with my obligatory Miami is back.
Looks like my trend of being too drunk to make picks on Friday night continues.
