He calls everyone Palsy or Paulsy. Like hey Pal or "This is my pal Phil", except for he adds sy (pronounced zee on the end). I literally worked directly for him for an entire season and I was either Palsy or Manager. He did ask my name at first, and when I go back to school he remembers who I am, but if you weren't like Darryl Tapp or Macho Harris, or MV5, you got the Palsy label.

one thing I will say is im disappointed by the lack of frank beamer ticket commercials in lane this year so far! I sure hope they have something up there sleeve but its almost to late to use it on this years ticket sales.

I hope Coach Beamer is doing well, I guess its that sweatshirt hanging off of him but he looks mighty thin. Hopefully it has just been a healthy weight loss and he is taking care of himself. Just a random thought, but Frank was 52 during the 99 season.

My dad brought our runty Jack Russell with us on move-in day and would bring her back when he came to visit. That dog was the best wing man ever!

I got a puppy - rescued him from a shelter - my senior year. I made frequent trips to campus with him, making sure to hit all of the spots, like walking by Slusher beach and West AJ. The fact that I rescued him too made for an easy "awwwww" reaction when girls asked where I got him.... Best wingman ever.

I just read this in the SI article....

This summer, Beamer decided he wanted to get a dog. Cheryl told him she wanted no part of the purchase, but still he and Ballein researched breeds and settled on a Beagle-Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix. Hank the Beaglier was born in Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Beamer made the six-hour drive to get him mid-summer.

Even in retirement, Frank owns the Cavaliers.
