Looks that way, odd...

Former Virginia Tech basketball player Khadim Sy, who had transferred to Tallahassee Community College last month, left his new school on Saturday.
"He's back at Virginia Tech," Tallahassee Community College men's basketball coach Mark White said today. "He'll be back over in their program."
Virginia Tech had announced in mid-September that Sy, who started for Tech as a freshman last season, had withdrawn from school.
#Hokies basketball coach Buzz Williams on possible Khadim Sy return to team: "I haven't seen or spoke to Dream since Sept. the 7th."— Mike Barber (@RTD_MikeBarber) October 9, 2017

His Twitter still says Virginia Tech Mens Basketball Team... Very Odd situation. Would definitely help us if he can play this year, but assuming he is back he will likely have to sit out a year before returning.
I wonder what Buzz will say about this?
That's really gonna suck if he misses a year because of this.
If they haven't received the transcript from Tech than I wouldn't think it is official that he left.
Maybe not, either way it's strange he would change his mind so quickly.
I wonder if Buzz had anything to do with it.. Some coaches have that attitude that if you leave their team they wouldn't want you back, wouldn't want anything to do with you.
Whatever the reason I'm glad to have him back.
something to consider - if he's still enrolled at @VT but hasn't been attending classes, his grades are going to be trash this semester and his eligibility in the future may be impacted. It's probably better for him to be considered withdrawn, no classes, no grades, and then to re-enroll for spring semester and take a redshirt this season even though there's typically no waiting period for transfers to/from community college. That would also be an opportunity to re-earn Buzz's trust.
Let's Sy how all of this plays out
I don't Sy him
I am gonna take a wait and Sy approach here. I don't wanna get to worked up.
I'm no eligibility expert, but I can't see any way he'd be allowed to play in our games this semester. I think the best case is he's able to play at the start of spring semester; however, its certainly possible he wouldn't be able to play at all this season.
Paging Jugs.
You apparently do not work in UNC's administration.
The eligibility section, I do not know myself. Having worked in VT administration, he's likely still in Banner and hasn't been deactivated. It would be a nightmare to get him through his classes this semester but enough tutoring and special exceptions and he could academically be eligible.
That would take faculty who would want to burden that load as well - I don't see that happening considering we are 7 weeks in at this point.
I have to imagine that NCAA rules will keep him out at least until Spring Semester starts if he hasn't been taking classes at Tech in the Fall.
If this is the case... the Fall Semester ends Dec 21, so he would likely not be eligible until the NC A&T game on Dec 29th (the last OOC game).
like miami back or nah?

Also, doesn't Fullard have Sy's scholly now?
There's an extra scholarship thanks to younger Leday leaving

I'm not usually a fan of sequels, but I was hoping to see where this one went. Sadly we will never know.
According to this website, he's eligible for an exception.
According to NCAA.org, if he's eligible for an exception it's up to VT to determine eligibility to play
Edit: I dug more to confirm the info on that other site and here's more from Ncaa.org
It certainly sounds to me like he's gonna be playing for us this year
Buzz Williams just said, this is the first he's heard of this. He doesnt know how it will work.
Uh....I don't believe him?
This is going to get UGLY in many ways.
Biggest thing that needs to be cleared up: was he enrolled at TCC and participate in practice?
If what I briefly read is correct then one could say he did enroll and participate therefore would be counted as a transfer.
2nd thing is his academic standing. If he was ruled academically ineligible for upcoming season then that would also be a BIG strike 2.
Without more information I'd say it would be tough to see him back at VT playing this year.
LeonardLogic tells me that Sy wouldn't have left the CC without researching his ability to play next year for the Hokies.
LeonardLogic is also not a 19 year old male.
LeonardLogic also tells me that he's probably not a boat drifting alone at sea.
LeonardLogic also misses crucial puns.
Let us all wait and Sy!
If you look up a few posts, you'll Sy that the joke has already been made. Drink, good sir.
I was not thinking of your jokes. I just want to wait and Sy the outcome!

Isn't Mountain Jesus the current holder of this award? Oh wait, that was "New way to dodge PED suspension" award.
" Sy you later"
* 5 minutes later*
"Hey Khadim, welcome back"
This is just a strange story; I'm looking forward to some clarity. Perhaps, he decided not to play basketball anymore after spending some time at the CC. So now he has opted to return to VT and get his degree.
Khadim playing at Tallahassee Community College:
Can he even get enrolled? What's the last day to sign up for classes?
Talk about going about this the hard way.

Genuinely have no clue what the fuck is happening. Buzz said he hadn't heard from Dream since he transferred. But here we are.
