I just mean No Reason Necessary to pull against LOLUVa
Pitt to keep UVA from getting to a bowl this year...
Not the first to say this, but I want us to be the ones they have to beat to get a bowl. And then I want to crush them worse than UNC.
That dream requires a loss this weekend.
GO PITT

Miami for the land.
And the College Football Belt.
I'm a little worried, because the actual website hasn't been updated at all this season.
If Louisville, FSU, or WF lose, they are officially out of contention for the Atlantic.
In the Coastal, Duke is out if they lose or Miami wins. Pitt is out if they lose and Miami wins.
UVa @ Pitt- Pitt:
Conference StandingsOne more step towards UVA going 5-7 and still missing out on a bowl game due to their APR.GIMME THE LAND
Meh, I'd rather have this.

Gotta get the land to get a chance at the trophy.
UNC's leading rusher out vs Miami this week. They should just forfeit the rest of the season.
That word is too big for them.
but they'll get 3 credit hours for looking it up on dictionary.com
Well, their TA will...
6 credit hours for getting the TA to do it
Doing the Lord's work. Thanks for putting this cheat sheet together.
Also, at UNC you'd probably get 3 credit hours for this.
Always root against UVA. Why you ask?
Nah, rather have them doing really well. It makes us look better, and handing them defeat tastes better.
Based on their profile pic, I wonder if Low Brau and fenix are related

Nope.
Agreed with the points on ND/NC State, but I gotta think that NC State jumps us in the rankings if they win. If ND wins though, we'd for sure need to pull for other upsets, and I'm not sure I see anyone above ND losing.
Is there a way for both of them to lose? That would be helpful.
0-0 tie would help things...
Even with overtime rules I'm sure if the game was tied after the second half had started and a long lightning storm hit I believe they would have to call it due to weather and the game would end in a tie
Why is NCST jumping us in the rankings a problem? If we end up in the ACCCG, we would play the winner of the NCST/Clemson game. Either they get knocked out by Clemson or us, in that scenario.
Would add recruiting in there for Florida State. If they can miss out on a bowl this year while we go to the ACC Championship game again it'd be a huge step towards shifting perceptions.
I'm still uncomfortable with this whole "root for WVU" thing. Can someone here teach me how to do that?
It starts with finding your own sister attractive
Not starting out well this week for the cousins, maScott got arrested for a DUI, won't be at game this weekend. The Fulmer Cup twitter is going ham.
Good stuff.
{in british accent} One slight quibble......
{drops accent to discuss actual American football} It's more likely that OSU losing to PSU would help us in the rankings than PSU losing. A one-loss PSU is probably going to land in front of us unless they went and got blowed out.
Agree. I would rather have PSU win out so they are the clear CFP rep from their conference. I don't want the chance of PSU and OSU both being ranked above us at year's end and the debate about whether they should both get a spot.
Just re-read the OP, and it says they are also rooting for PSU to win...so I agree with both of you :)
That, and two losses would finally get OSU out of the discussion. They had no business in the playoffs last year but everyone schlobs their nob every season. I feel like everyone has already forgotten they lost to a somewhat decent/mediocre OU team. (OU's true colors showing soon). I feel like if Ohio State wins, then we're going to get the talk of "we need two BIG teams in the playoffs!" again.
Not to mention the fact that a BC W almost guarantees FSU doesn't go bowling.
I personally think NC State over ND would be a huge boost for our CFP chances. PSU over OSU would really help too.
I want ND to suck every year until they join the ACC full time.
Then you need NBC to stop enabling them with their own TV contract. Currently goes through 2025.
Don't look now, lefty just called a trick play that netted BC its first touch down and a 7-0 lead over FSU
Who is this Boston College team??
The same team we beat with relative ease.
It might just be that we are better than originally considered.

So far we should move up 1 spot, but if State pulls out this game against ND I bet they jump us. Who knows with the first playoff committee rankings coming out this week though.
UCLA lost and ISU won.
Checked that PSU one a little early
Not sure anything really great happened for us today. I expect TCU and Penn State to both stay ahead of us despite losing, and I think Penn State losing a close, high-scoring game is going to keep them firmly in the playoff conversation against other conference champions even if they win out and don't even play in the B1G Championship game.
The real question right now is how many 1-loss teams will we jump if we beat a top ten Miami team on the road?
That PSU result is extremely bad for us. Their remaining schedule is fairly easy so it's probably more likely that OSU loses another and still makes the B1GCG.
