It seems to me that most years, this date goes by with barely a whisper about anything being done. But this year? oooh this year is different alright.
First of all, our own Duane Brown gets shipped from Houston to protect Russell Wilson in Seattle going forward for a 2nd round pick, a 5th round pick, and CB Jeremy Lane. Good on him!

Next up, the Patriots, hoping to squeeze every last ounce out of the Tom Brady experience, shipped out Timmy Garrrapppapalllololll to the 49ers for a 2nd round pick. The good news for San Francisco is that this is unlikely to change their push for the #1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Oh, you thought that would be it? Apparently we're just getting started, with the Dolphins agreeing to trade Jay Ajayi to Philadelphia for a 4th rounder in a move that should completely alter the fantasy football landscape for the remainder of the year.

And rumors are that there might be more moves coming. Philly is supposedly trying to obtain TY Hilton from the Colts (if this move is made, you have to wonder about the future of Andrew Luck), and Dallas is looking to do something to offset the loss of Zeke.

..so now the two NFL teams with the most Hokies are the Bills and Seahawks? Here's to a Bills-Seahawks Super Bowl.
Skins too
These are terrible choices and you all should feel bad for suggesting it
I'm not suggesting anything for the superbowl, just that the Skins have a couple Hokies too
May God have mercy on their careers
And Saints.
I'm so happy that the NFL trade deadline is becoming more of a thing. It never made any sense to me that NFL teams were so reluctant to trade in years past. You had teams with needs, teams with a glut at one position, teams that needed to buy or sell yet they would all sit on their hands and do nothing. Over the last couple of years, we're starting to see more player for player swaps (which use to be extremely rare) and more of the usual draft pick for player swap.
Here's a good rundown on the change if you're interested

It would have been cool to see AP run behind Dallas's line.
Nice use of the college uniforms.
I have Ajayi, not sure he is going to see the field behind Blount, Underwood, etc...
FWIW, Matthew Berry is excited for Ajayi's season, and downgraded Blount. But fantasy football is a crapshoot so good luck.
Yeah, who knows, I will have to see how it plays out.
rb by committee like 80% of the backfields in the nfl
Pretty sure Underwood won't be seeing the field anymore. Ajayi will start.
I can 100% guarantee that no one named Underwood will see the field at all for the Eagles this weekend. Some might even say this move negatively impacts the guys on the roster named Smallwood
damn duped by the OP
Underwood? Which one?
Blount is still "the starter" going into this weekend, but it is expected that Ajayi will take the bulk of the carries from here on out, and Blount will come in to just provide a 1-2 combo of backs that will beat down any defense over the course of a game.
Kelvin Benjamin reportedly going to Buffalo
The Bills have a legitimate shot at the AFC wildcard and are still adding weapons. They could be 6-2 after the Thursday night game against the Jets.
All of which is amazing, given that their offseason moves made it look like they wanted to tank as hard as possible. I love that Tyrod is playing well enough to force management to build around him.
To me this proves how important coaching is even at the NFL level. The current Bills roster is worse than when Rex Ryan was coaching but they are playing on a much higher level under the new front office. Tyrod is doing everything they ask him to do - play smart and protect the football. They can play field position with their defense. Hope TT gets a chance to stay in Buffalo in the future.
Based on the preseason fire sale, I thought they were asking him to lose and tank the season.
Kelvin Benjamin just got traded to the Bills for a 3rd round and 7th round pick. Huge for Tyrod, gives him a nice big body receiver and a legit redzone threat
Edit: I'll happily take my drink.
As someone who lives in Charlotte and hates the Panthers, the meltdown happening is so beautiful. Almost shed a tear.
As a Panthers and Tyrod fan, I think the trade is good for both parties. Carolina wasn't gonna resign Benjamin and I'd rather have McCaffrey and Samuel get more involved.
Benjamin and Funchess both fill the same role and were interchangeable in my opinion.
While I think it's a good trade for the Panthers, I absolutely love it for Tyrod! KB is a type of player Buffalo lacked.

I almost felt bad for my co-worker who is a Panthers season ticket holder...he hadn't heard the news yet and I said "Hey, how big of a role would you say Benjamin has in the Panthers offense?"
lol
Don't know why they're melting down. Our best season of late was when Benjamin was out injured all year and Cam had to actually look for other receivers.
Funchess can play the role KB did just fine and Cam might not force it to him as much. Overall I'm not that upset about it. The way things have been going this season, there's really only one direction the Carolina offense can move... they've been so so bad.
Love the trade for the Eagles. Makes sense on a number of levels.
A 4th round pick (the Eagles had 3) for a 24 year old that made the Pro Bowl last year, and is still under his rookie deal this season AND next season. If he plays well you pay him market and don't have to worry about drafting an RB with a high pick (which the Eagles have no 2nd or 3rd rounder next year).
Helps you immensely with your cap next year if you have a starting Pro Bowl caliber QB and RB both on rookie contracts to keep/get weapons to keep Wentz moving along. Not to mention from a practical standpoint, if you run Ajayi and Blount at a team all game long, by the 4th quarter teams will want nothing to do with tackling them.
Great point someone made today, Philly's GM traded Sam Bradford for a 1st and 4th, and turned those two picks into Derek Barnett who is getting better as the season goes along, and could develop into a top end pass rusher, and Jay Ajayi! Amazing
Heard on sports talk yesterday that the Browns came to a deal with the Bengals for McCarron but were busy celebrating and forgot to turn the paperwork in on time. I laughed and didn't believe it, but it's apparently true
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000870523/article/late-paperwork-ni...
The Bengals must be just as upset. They were going to get a 2nd and 3rd round pick for a backup.
Browns said they send appropriately signed paperwork to Bengals to also sign and send into the league and that the Bengals sent in the forms with only their own signatures on it. This is so brownsy
The Texans-Seahawks trade has been amended due to Jeremy Lane failing his physical with the Texans.
Texans get: 2018 third, 2019 second
Seahawks get: Duane Brown, 2018 fifth
