Agreed, totally crickets from the clown haters.
That is scary. A little offensive, but I can't downvote it.
All I can think of when I see this:
Jacory Harris's overly attached ex-girlfriend.
Who passive-aggressively wants Bud Foster
As soon as I read that, I thought of this terrible movie
"She sure does have a puuurdy mouth!"
So what's wrong with HD's face? I think she's very pretty for a journalist.
The neck and the voice that said neck produces and the brain on top of that neck make it very difficult for me to find any part of her physically attractive.
They just said on the post-show that Logan didn't practice all week due to his abdomen. His first snap he had taken since Marshall was tonight. That's pretty superb he came out playing like that after not practicing all week.
Tough dude. He's QB1, deal with it, haterz!
I don't want him to throw again until next Saturday
Logan Thomas: or how I learned to accept a qb who guts out wins, regardless of stats.
BUT THE STATS!!!
I'll just leave this here again...

Still my new account picture
I've been drinking the LT3 kool-aid all season long...and it is mighty tasty
Logan's "intangibles" were on display tonight!
It's not hating, it's calling it how we see it. There's a big difference. He played extremely well last night. One of his best and most complete games since maybe 2011. Hopefully he keeps it up. I don't know what to expect next week but I know I feel a lot better about him after last night. Yall can say whatever yall want but it's been clear that he hasn't played well this season and him playing well last night for the first time this season just proved the criticism he got over the first four games was valid.
I don't think any so called "Logan hater" wants him to do bad. Personally, I'd much rather give him compliments than criticize him but my reaction is based on his play. He played great last night and I really hope it keeps up.
Yep - LT hasn't played well and forced the receivers to drop all of those passes and run poor routes until last night when they played like they should have played all year.
If you're basing the entirety of your criticism on stats alone, then yes, LT "proved the criticism he got over the first four games was valid".
Let me begin this by saying I never said Logan should be benched on this site. I never said he wasn't our best option. All of my criticism of him comes from a pro-hokie place in wanting us to put the best product on the field and prior to last night, we weren't doing that and I felt his poor play had a lot to do with it. I know we've had trouble at wr and the line hasn't played as well as they did vs bama but that doesn't mean that his lack of production was completely attributed to that. So here goes....
I'm not basing anything off stats alone. I didn't mention any stats in my post and I haven't mentioned stats in previous posts on this site. I based my criticism off of the eye test - poor decision making in both the passing and running game, his constant staring down of receivers, constant throws into double and triple coverage, interceptions, how hesitant/indecisive he was, poor mechanics, poor reads, and lack of improvement from one week to the next.
Are you seriously going to say that you've been pleased with his play and that he doesn't deserve some of the criticism he got due to his poor individual play? Give me a break man. Besides, he played well last night and I gave him his props - what more do you want?
I never said I wanted Logan benched. I did, however, say that I wanted to see more of what Leal could do.
Kinda like how I said last year that ND was going to play Bama in the MNC. I didn't say KSU or Oregon were going to lose, just that ND was going to play for it.
Ambiguity, bitches! Muahahaha
He was great last night. He hasn't been great this year.
It wasn't like he was out there making incredible throws, but he was making the right decision. That's something we haven't seen from him in awhile. That game is why he was a first round grade 2 years ago, the potential is clearly there he just needs to keep it going.
Only 1 near INT and that was when he was trying to get away from a sack. There were a couple times he either took off to run or made a quick throw too early when he had receivers coming open but for the most part he actually looked the part of a highly touted QB.
I'm right here. Did you need anything from me or any of my fellow Logan critics?
Oh ... You just wanna see us eat some crow? Ok, I will.
Seeing that I despise GT more than UVA, this is the most savory crow I've ever consumed! For the first time this season, he actually seemed very decisive, especially running the ball (side note: I think his slide late in the game was the first time I've seen Logan slide). It was very refreshing. There's something about playing GT that seems to bring out the best in Logan and I'm grateful for that. Logan still seems to lack accuracy and touch on shorter passes, but if he's going to run the way he did tonight, I can live with that. I just pray that last night wasn't a case of the broken clock being right twice a day ...
A little off topic, but did anyone else think DJ Coles looked like a tight end on his TD catch and run? I thought for a second that I missed a TD and was seeing a slow mo replay.
As an above poster said, it's not hating to point out that he hasn't been stellar this season. You are right that he deserves a ton of credit for his performance last night - as do the receivers, the OL, and maybe even the RBs, for their collective efforts. I'm proud of the way they battled and made some plays.
Yes, I'm happy he had a good game last night. And yes, I'm rooting for him to continue this level of play....very much so. But, I'm afraid that it's not here to stay. I will enjoy the win, and his play for this week.
Bring it against UNC Logan. Bring it!!!!!
Sorry again guys. I really shouldn't post on here when drunk and emotional after a win. This wasn't meant to be a shot at any idividual because ultimately, we're all Hokies and I love you all.
But Logan did play well and I just hope that this makes a point to everyone that Logan is our guy. He played hurt and with little to no practice and just looked great. He's a mixed bag sometimes but he is one of the biggest competitors I have ever seen.
Lock the liquor cabinet, Skipper's in town!
It was a fun night for me.
Oh me too, this morning was a bit of a kick in nads though...
when my alarm went off at 5:30 I cried a little. I then proceeded to chug a lot of water and pop a lot of asprin.
I just found out what Iamsecond bracelet Logan was wearing meant. He truly is an awesome guy, that's amazing.
Care to share? Have a link?
I could be wrong, and hopefully she'll correct me if I am, but I think it essentially boils down to the idea that he puts God before himself, and before all of his other priorities. I think that's what it means.
http://www.iamsecond.com/about/
Thanks. Always nice to see guys dedicated to doing good things with/for others around them.
Thanks for sharing the link! Sorry I didn't get to in time. I saw the bracelet on him last night when they were showing how large Logan's hands were and then I saw that Logan had retweeted several posts about him wearing it. Logan's got a great heart.
I'm SURE the bracelet was the first thing on your mind....or anyone else's for that matter...
Oh yeah....that's totally what I was thinking about....all I remember thinking is...DAMN! And you know what they say about men who have big hands....they got big feet too! ;-)
Sorry Dude, you missed it. This thing was going one direction and you took it another.
My apologies, Friday afternoon got away from me. Totally didn't mean to take away from the worthwhile and good cause that Logan is standing for. The 16 year old in me took over. I greatly applaud him for this and I think it just goes to show the type of leader and man he is. I think it's also why with the game on the line there is no one else you want leading your team.
No worries. Just didn't want the significants of the real example Logan Thomas is trying to show by wearing an I Am Second wrist band(edit: to be lost). To me that shows real character and true leadership.
Agreed, it was out of place and I forgot to write it in sarcastica font. I wish they (the media) would highlight things like this more often as it shows the character of the players we recruit and develop. I remember reading the JR Collins is very active with Athletes in Action. I' sure other members of the team are as well and it would be nice for that to be talked about.
Back when I was in school Wilford and Coles Colas were very active with the kids in the after school program I volunteered with. I always thought higher of them because I knew that.
J.R. Collins had a life transformation over the summer. Coach Wiles said he ain't the same person he was last year. I like that. It does say a lot about the program, Beamer doesn't just have a program for developing great athletes, he also has a program structured around developing higher character MEN. I think the two are eqaully important to CFB. CFB is a big part of why I am proud to be a Hokie. Go Hokies
Absolutely. Honestly I think more press around this helps recruiting too since there is another coach in VA that says he is develop the players as "men". While he might be, this shows that we truly are.
When I saw this thread I was expecting this:
Instead it was more like this:
I would very much like to know the context of that last gif
Same here.
Sam Rogers scared them the f-k off!
Jumping in this thread...
I do not think we will ever see the 2011 Logan "Miami Game" Thomas again, but last night came pretty close. I consider myself a defender of Thomas because he is team-first and could have gone pro, instead of he decided the team needed him more, and he needed to get better. So here we are.
Logan may not replicate the 24/25 passing in the game, but damn, he came close 19/25, and ZERO INTERCEPTION! Then he played after being limited in practice last week and perform like this?
Whatever the Hokies are feeding the man, DON'T STOP FEED HIM!
One more bit on Logan's toughness: As has recently been reported by Andy Bitter, LT3 sprained his right foot in the first quarter of the GT game. So the foot he uses to drive forward and get his weight transferred so that he won't airmail his receivers was hurt, as well as his abdomen. Next person to say he sucks and has no business playing QB should be tazed, IMHO.
Joe,
Can you insert and automatic taze option? God that would be sweet.
The Logan haters are as inconsistent as Logan...
....just kidding I like LT
He played a great game. I sure as hell hope he keeps playing like that.
I'm sure this thread and some of the comments here are a shot at me and the post I made last week. Once again, I never "hated" LT or wished any ill will on him. I just feel like games like this are more of the exception than par for the course at this point. I just want the QB out there that gives us the best chance to win. Through the first 3 games, it sure didn't look like it was Logan.
