Grow up bro......
Pat? That you?
I hate this because it makes me dislike A&M and I don't want to dislike A&M.
"Will Fuente Leave" Def Con Alert moves from 5 to 3.
"Will Fuente Leave" Def Con Alert moves from
51 to 3.FTFY.
DEFCON Levels
EDIT: Unless you mean it is higher now.
Seems like you just provided evidence against yourself
I think he was saying it went from 5 (no threat) to 3 (prepare to mobilize forces)
Yeah. Realized that after I hit post.
Wow. Hire of the century there for A&M.
Saban
Saban was jobless at the time. Jimbo won a Natty 3 years ago.
No, Saban wasn't. He was head coach of the Dolphins and 3 years removed from a college Natty at Bama's biggest rival.
Wow! Hire of the decade.
Saban never coached at Judson College.
Is anybody else just not overly impressed with Jimbo? He recruits insanely well, but it's F$U and they attract a certain type of recruit. He has done way less with more this year. Inexcusable to be this bad and not have a functional backup QB when you recruit at that level. Fans have a right to be mad. That team completely quit this year.
I have never been impressed. Even the national championship team was chaotic and should have been better.
When do Sweat and Laborn transfer?
Nothing to panic about, right? Riiiight?
Cheer up FSU you could be Tenn
Give them time....
Ben Swain, who claims to be a Duke football insider on Twitter, said Fuente to FSU and Fedora to VT is a done deal.... Count me as highly skeptical.
I've never said this with more conviction.....
HORSE SHIT!
He's very satirical usually. Take it with a grain of salt.
Why in the world would we want Fedora and why would he want to come here, especially after the not so subtle troll job of NC2VT since last year's game?
Unpopular opinion: IF we lost Fuente, which we won't, Larry Fedora wouldn't be the worst move
I think you meant Chad Morris.
I think you meant Bud Foster
There's only one right move.
#BringLaneToLane
I'd rather just promote Bud honestly. Fedora is a mediocre P5 coach with an inflated sense of self-worth.
Not that it matters, I think these Fuente rumors are complete garbage.
It would be much, much closer to worst than best on the worst/best curve.
By "wouldn't be the worst move", I'll take that literally and assume you mean that its terribly bad, but there might be 1 or 2 other one's worse than that.
I hear Mike London's looking for work. What about that guy who used to coach at Baylor? I'm sure we could scoop him up from Liberty.
Liberty has the former Baylor AD. Coach Briles is still unemployed.
That was a joke.
Ben Swain is indeed a Duke insider but Whit would never in a million years hire Fuente's nemesis.
Follow Ben for like three more hours and you'll realize you got got haha.
Disregard for a second it's a joke, but I'm impressed you added "done deal" as part of the telephone game.
Kind of related, but what an absolute turrible year for Larry Fedora to go 2-9. That dude is the king of playing the job market for a pay raise. Now he's going to have to make less then Dave Doeren.
You know how the telephone game goes...
Oh man! Joe reppin' the journalistic integrity!
If Fedora shows up at Tech I'm becoming a soccer fan!
Jimbo after he tallied up his new paycheck:
What's the story on this .gif? Looks like Jimbo's getting lectured by one of his underlings.
Without researching it, it looks like one of his coordinators is trying to tell him something and he's not giving him the time of day. Then, he sees the scoreboard and just realizes "screw it, we're done."
I just hope Coach Fu understands this about FSU right about now:

.
Today is
ChloeZoë Kravitz' birthday.Dilly dilly
I won't down vote but came close here!
Why its not too bad?
it's actually Zoë Kravitz's birthday.
{Cone of shame}
Yeah, I was like "Zoe has a sister that I didn't know about?"
Man, hopefully we can use this vacuum to go after some FSU recruits. Would be amazing.
#FL2VT
#7572VTAGAIN
Seems like we'd have a problem under 2 scenarios:
1) Obviously, Fuente leaving for FSU
2) Taggart takes the FSU job. Scott Frost might decide he'd rather go back to Oregon and get some of that Phil Knight money than go back to Nebraska. Rumour has it Fuente is Nebraska's #2 choice.
Turning down Nebraska would be easy for Fuente.
I knew this was the case when I saw this tweet today over lunch.
That looks like an artificial tree anyway. I want to throw mine out the window every time we set it up too.
Is this your way of telling us that you're taking the Tennessee job?
Brick by brick, right?
True story: after two years of owning an artificial tree, I wanted to set it out for the trash as well, but my wife kept insisting that I put it up every year.
Two years ago, my son ran into it with his ride-on toy and knocked it down, thereby breaking it. I shed as many tears as there were redzone trips by the Hoos' offense last weekend against us.
I feel like the true test of marriage is being able to put up any tree, real or artificial, before the holidays and surviving the ensuing argument that always occurs when trying to straighten the tree while tightening the base.
I thought this was just my house.
I went out and bought a $100 tree stand in hopes that it is MUCH easier for her to keep the damn tree straight while I tighten the base... That's real love- buying a tree stand to save the marriage....
EDITING FOR 2017 UPDATE:
So this year was by far the best year of the tree yet - and (for the win) NO ARGUMENT! Had the tree up this year in under 5 minutes, and no readjusting, no yelling, no ridiculous threats. It was glorious.
I've always said - Christmas tree stands are cheaper than divorce
LPT: Have a tiny living room, and get a tiny tree (5 ft or so). Then you can straighten it all yourself while your wife works on other decorations.
Yes, our 5 ft Christmas tree is on our dining table.
As a single woman, putting up the tree is always an adventure if I attempt it by myself. So I bribe friends with alcohol and baked goods to help me out. Works every time and with very little annoyance 😂
I think we could be friends
I have to admit that I am completely perplexed by this entire thread. I have been married seven years, and not once have I argued with my wife about this. Probably because I have never needed help putting on the base and straightening the tree. It is a one person job. Am I doing something differently? This is how I do it:
Step 1: Measure the width of the trunk and turn the screws of the base until they are close to where the trunk will be. Count the turns so all of the screws get the same amount of turns, thus ensuring that the tree will already be close to straight when you put the base on.
Step 2: With the tree still laying on its side and still tied up, put the base on the tree and tighten the screws equal turns until the base is snug and the screws are slightly embedded in the trunk.
Step 3: Stand the tree up. Fine tune the screws if it isn't quite straight. You shouldn't need anyone to hold it at this point since the other screws are holding it up.
Step 4: Move the tree to its location in your house and remove the netting/twine/whatever it is wrapped in. Let it sit a day or two to open up. Decorate (this part can definitely lead to arguments).
FWIW I use a wide, plastic base with five screws that holds about a gallon of water.
We use a fake tree.
But a real tree is superior in every way but one: the branches aren't strong enough for my VT ornaments. And before you say anything about pine needles, I have had a fake tree, it still dropped needles. So if I have to deal with it anyway, I'd rather have a real tree 🎄
Cost, ease of care, pre lighted. Just to name three things that are much easier with a fake tree.
Serious question(s):
Which is more flammable, a fake, plastic tree or a properly watered, real tree? Obviously a dry, real tree is basically a giant tinder bundle but most plastics are much more flammable than most people realize. Are fake trees treated with flame retardants?
Has the transition to LED Christmas lights cut down on the number of fires?
Honestly I've never been to a Christmas tree fire. Odd. Most fires around that time are from electric or candles, sometimes furnace.
PFFFFFT LIKE YOU'D KNOW
Mythbusters did a segment on this, actually. Basically it doesn't matter how dry your tree is, it's not going to catch on fire. What does cause fires is strings of lights that are frayed or otherwise in bad shape that short out or spark to cause an electrical fire. So basically: inspect your lights before putting them on the tree. Every. Single. Year.
So...no tree at all
I have identified what you are doing differently: Steps 1-4.
PLUS, the FWIW. I never did any of this stuff.
My steps:
1) Let the wife do it.
2) She'll call me when she needs stronger, but not too bright help.
Done! Easy peasy!
This is what I did. Granted we have a fake tree that slides down into the nonadjustable stand, but she had the tree up and fluffed before I was done getting the ornaments out of the closet under the stairs.
The fact that step 1 starts with the word "measure" is so Virginia Tech and I love every bit of it. Bonus points for knowing the capacity of the water storage container.
Go get a Krinner stand and be done with this argument forever.
Hey, don't we already have a guy who many of us previously wanted to be the head coach on staff? I can't recall exactly who that was now...hmmm. I remember him being insanely fierce and terrifying to other teams who faced him. Man, if I could just remember who that was. I can see his face in my head but just can't put my finger on who that is....

IF it ever happened, I would be behind this 1000%.
Ah yes, Tom Herman.
I'm not sure that's better than the combination we currently have.
Bud is a MASTER where he is now, and I think Fuente is as well.
I'm gonna have to replay the Mass Effect trilogy with a Commander Shepard that looks like Bud Foster.
I call Dragon Age Inquisition Bud Foster. He will shake this world and all shall tremble.
I had a Fallout character named Tyrod. I made him look as much like Ty as I could but with a gnarly beard.
I'm calling skyrim Bud and I'm gonna to play on master level
Fuente's not leaving, but if he was, I'd want Sumlin. But since that won't happen, I kinda wanna see Sumlin at FSU.
I don't want to have to hate Sumlin
Willie Taggart would be my number one choice. Recruiting right now should be the priority over coaching, especially when you have Bud Foster in the room
Setting aside the fact that it would be in the ACC with negative effect on VT, wouldn't it be funny if a Sumlin for Fisher swap happened and Sumlin did better than Fisher.
I'm going with a 3 team deal, Taggart to FSU and Sumlin to Oregon.
Has anyone checked on Fuente's Christmas Tree in the past few hours?
Have a leg and a merry Christmas! Too good.
You win sir
Thanks fam
Thx Joe, thx Tread, thank you, to all TKP and Hokie fans, you are the best.

Clicked the link, but did not find that line... panic sets back in
.
"I mean, this is a place that has an irreparable relationship with a coach who won the national title just four years ago. Virginia Tech's waters are relatively calm. I think in 2015 Fuente preferred not to go to a dog-eat-dog conference like the SEC, and Florida State has some very SEC-like qualities to it. There's a reason Chip Kelly chose UCLA over what on paper was a better situation at Florida". Bitter latest mailbag, this calms me down...slightly
I don't see any circumstance that doesn't involve Bud or Fuente as our head coach next year. IF Fuente does leave, and Whit doesn't offer it to Bud, why would he stay on? I'm sure Fuente would take him to FSU. And I'm not sure Bud would stay on as #2 again. So Whit would be forced to put Bud as head whistle, in fear of losing both coaches. Also, Fuentes success greatly depends on having a great DC, which would take a hit if Bud doesn't go down. If I'm Bud, I'd leave with Fuente unless given the head coaching job.
Unless he's fine staying DC in Blacksburg. I wouldn't move laterally for my boss. He currently makes just shy of a million, there's no way to guarantee he'd get that at FSU
Danny Kanell finds this funny for some reason. Seems to think FSU will choose a coach and that coach will automatically accept their offer as if he has no say in the matter.
Not sure if you noticed Danny but your coach just chose to walk out the door.
Josh (VT grad) produced Kanell's show at ESPN. Kanell's just trolling him.
I don't know who Josh Parcell is but he also thinks Edmunds is "as good as gone" and Settle "should be back."
Edmunds should be gone. He had an absolute beast of a year and he has nothing further to prove. Butkus Finalist with a very real shot of winning it? Yeah, he should be as good as gone. Get yourself paid, young man.
he is young for his class and his parents want him to stay in school.. so don't consider it a done deal that he's entering the draft this season.
Also, saying he's got nothing to prove is a stretch. sure he's had some nice highlights against teams like UVA but he did not play like a special player against teams like Miami and Clemson.
Not trying to be a jerk or saying he should stay, and even being a finalist is extremely impressive, but he doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning the Butkus award.
Josh worked with ESPN and now has his own website, podcast, cfb gambling bets, etc. He is a VT grad as mentioned elsewhere in this thread, and has connections. Also, our very own Henry Skutt works with him.
I wasn't even worried fam.
QP weighs in as well...
Relax.
I found the source close to Fuente (physically being in Blacksburg counts, right?)
I just wrote a long post about how Fuente is not leaving... Why would a source close to Fuente say that. Why wouldn't Fuente just post to twitter, "I'm not going anywhere".
No matter what your decision, you have to play the game
this, especially since by not saying anything you can potentially get another raise...
Relax don't do it...when you wanna...
MUST KILL THE PRIME MINISTER OF MALAYSIA
Relax
I don't think Fuente would go to FSU. That school exemplifies the sentiment that "it's a short trip from the penthouse to the outhouse". I think Fuente is a thinker and is looking at the FSU situation. Even he was surprised at how hard the jump was from Memphis to the ACC. Now he'd be stepping into a situation where the fans expect a Natty not in year X (where X < 3) but in year 1. Period. They don't get it in year 2. Issues. Not in year 3 and now you have a problem.
At VT getting to the CFP in year 5 may be acceptable. I think the only things VT fans find unacceptable is losing to bad teams.
The other thing to consider is FSU talent. It doesn't seem that they are keeping up with Clemson. So, is the issue Jimbo Fisher or is it that FSU has lost its appeal?
I know there is the FSU is always more appealing than VT crowd but it doesn't take long for an elite program to go from elite to good to okay. Look at Nebraska.
I think Fuente stays put for now. Fuente is a smart guy. Smart guys weigh risks vs. rewards. FSU comes with plenty of risks vs rewards (Money and Path to Natty (he already has an easier one at VT).
Here are the risks:
Assuming money alone drives coaches assumes they have no personalities or anything else and they are 100% coin operated. Don't get me wrong, some are. I have heard stories that Nick Saban can't stand Alabama Fans. At bama that's okay. They love to be despised by him because he wins Natty's. It's doesn't matter to them.
I may have to eat my words but I'm saying Fuente ain't going anywhere anytime soon!
Money - I would be disappointed FOR Fuente if becomes the only football coach in America that DOESN'T get a raise in this situation and time. I mean the warmth of the dumpster fire from Tennessee alone should cause that. I can't believe Whit and his agent aren't working on "relaxing this situation".
Completely agree OBX, even if it's a incremental bump in pay, and maybe a restructure of his buyout clause, if he'd agree to that.
Who's saying Whit and his agent aren't working on the contract situation? Because I actually believe the complete opposite. I think he'll get the raise, and an increase in the salary pool for assistant coaches.
Relax
From the UVA troll on my Pro Team's board... Looks like A&M got this done before the season even started...
Maybe he has some #Sauces
He's referring to "rdm" from TheSabre. That guy's got legit connections to Texas college football, and I believe was himself involved in the 80's or 90's.
Boosters were telling the Houston Chronicle "remember Jimbo Fisher's name" after the choke against UCLA in the season opener. They weren't exactly hiding the fact this deal was already in the works before the season began.
My productivity this week at work has been

Yeah today has been almost as bad the Tennessee Dumpster Fire....
Nah nothing can be that bad!
Taggertt to FSU is all but a done deal apparently. It's going to be announced on Monday in a Press conference.
Sexyon represents almost everyone, does he represent Fuente?
Nope - Jordan Bazant is Fuente's agent.
Lines up with everything I was hearing on the radio yesterday here in Raleigh with people close to the situation. They said Jimbo to aTm was already done, just needed to be announced (they thought Saturday, but wouldn't be shocked if today). FSU already knew who their short list was, were already deep in the middle of the vetting process, and could announce as early as Sunday.
Anyone else seeing the stuff on the twittosphere about jimbo not telling any of his players? And let's to this story?
https://www.tomahawknation.com/florida-state-football-fsu-noles/2017/12/...
Claims he intended for them to know first but that was probably hard with all the leaks on the story over the past two days.
Would have been impossible to let them know first. Everywhere has an insider who knows someone in the media.
As soon as anyone who knows leaks the news, it's going to be out everywhere.
Deondre Francois weighed in on Twitter:
Coaches under contract who want to transfer should have to sit out a year. It's only fair.
Why does this rule even exist for players?
Because it's the NCAA where the rules are made up and the players don't matter.
Probably to keep players from front-running and to protect schools from players who want to front-run.
Then why do they allow coaches to do it?
Head coaching changes affect more than the head coach. Let's say you're a $50K a year quality control coach. Can you afford to not work for a year or have to get another job for a year while your HC sits out for year? A student you transfers is on scholarship and still practicing. They are in effect "still employed". Forcing a coach out of coaching for year does not offer a similar situation.
The University could just pay for their room, board, and tuition
to discourage transfers.. duh.
also to minimize the incentive for tampering (e.g. recruiting another team's player to transfer to your school)
IMO having 5 years to play 4 is a good balance for having to sit a year upon transfer.
If the rule wasn't in place, it seems likely that the elite schools would recruit only a few super highly rated 4/5 stars and then pluck the developed lower 3/4 star players from all the schools a tier down. Imagine Alabama trying to recruit Settle, Walker, and the Edmunds from VT.
Of course, I guess you could create an NCAA violation that would make recruiting violation until the player declares. But, I mean, it would be the NCAA governing the rule, so...
The position most affected would probably be offensive line, considering how much of a crapshoot recruiting is at that position.
Yeah, can you imagine the booster bribery to convince players to switch teams that would be going on if it weren't for that rule?
Am I the only one that hopes this all means FSU lays an egg tomorrow, leaving the 'Noles home during bowl season?
If you are I'm offically leaving this site
Clearly, we're all hoping that.
According to USA Today salary database Dabo makes more than he will?
And he will never with the SEC West and will only make the first three or four years of that. How does the buyout decrease over the years? My guess it will plummet in year 3.
Just so you know, I got this:

Source I spoke with indicates Fuente has been out recruiting all week and will be back for practice tomorrow.
Doing the Lord's work Joe. Thanks!
But FSU totally already interviewed and vetted him because he was their Number 2, their next in line, their Will Riker.
Are you trying to tell me FSUTwitter was full of shit?
Well, yea. There are pictures of him on twitter with recruits this week.
This begs for a front page Onion-style article.
Justin Fuente Back For Practice Tomorrow
Blacksburg, VA (AP)
Virginia Tech Head Football Coach Justin Fuente dropped a bombshell on the Virginia Tech community today revealing, per sources, that he will be 'back coaching football tomorrow'.
Despite the furious rumors, hot takes, and innuendos that have consumed the 2017 college football coaching carousel in the last week, Fuente remains a coach at Virginia Tech.
'I really like it here,' he said. 'Virginia Tech is a cool place with good people. I have the best AD in the country in Whit Babcock and the best DC in the country in Bud Foster. I don't understand why people keep trying to connect me with coaching jobs at [dumpster fires] Florida State and Tennessee. My family is happy here and so am I.'
Recent FlightAware searches have shown that a wide variety of planes have traveled in and out of Blacksburg and nearby Roanoke airports from places such as Knoxville, Tallahassee, DC, Atlanta, Starkville, State College, College Station, Station College, State Station, and College College, presumably carrying well-financed athletic directors from College University, State University, and even perhaps College State. Despite the overtures, Head Coach Justin Fuente remains mum on any developments in his impending departure for a better job, which is surely about to happen any day now.
'Who are you guys? Leave me alone!' he elaborated under further questioning.
With his immediate need to throw out his poorly considered Christmas tree purchase, as well as his need to pack his bags for his new job, Head Coach Justin Fuente departed without further comment.
TheKeyPlay.com will follow up and report on any developments in FlightAware and will read into tweets from recruits to keep you informed.

If you could "favorite" comments on this site, this would be my all time.
I agree 1000%. This is pure gold.
"presumably carrying well-financed athletic directors from College University, State University, and even perhaps College State" is an inspired sentence.
God I love this site. And that's not the beer talking. :D
Inspired by the University of Maryland University College? Also known as the "School of Maryland School School"?
My wife and I always laugh at that.
Is it a university, or a college?
It's kind of the like the College of X at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. University College is part of the University of Maryland. The redundancy in the name is pretty bad.
Um, obviously it's a university college. What is the confusion? :)
This school name definitely passed through my mind as i wrote it. Always gives me a chuckle
IUPUI
(how to pronounce: ooey-pooey)
I took the GREs there! I think it stands for Indiana University of Pennsylvania University of Indiana
Not sure if serious.
Indiana University - Purdue University of Indianapolis...
If you were /s-ing, my apologies.
For the sake of full disclosure, I was being serious but I was also just wrong.
Thanks for the correction
IUP is Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
No worries Fam!
If this doesn't go plaid...
Is there a plaid? And if yes, I'd die a happy man to have a plaided comment
Lol
Plaid is kind of a colloquialism for getting a ton of upvotes. I'm not sure if it's official, but to me it means getting 100 legs on a comment.
Treadmill is boat racing me on this one, and he is going to win.
I think it's topped out. Vainly I've been checking it constantly. I don't think I've ever gone plaid
If either go over 100, I'll code up plaid recognition.
Personally I'm waiting on whether Joe choses a plaid or tartan pattern. And if it's a combo of green and yellow true to TKP template, or maroon and orange.
There is an official VT tartan...just saying.
Wait, what?
Link. Now.
I was trying to find a way to work a bit into our wedding (on March 17) but couldn't make it work.
https://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tartanDetails?ref=5668
Thank you Joe for providing the motivation to push me into plaid territory.
I'd also like to thank HokieStone, without whom this never would have happened. Fireman, who I argue with about things, GuitarMan, who is also from Manassas along with myself, Ryan Williams, Tim Settle, Reggie Floyd, and first-team all-ACC Greg Stroman.
I can't forget to thank hokie07ME, Alum07, vtfly, TechHokie13, VPIhokieME, and fernleyhokie for supporting me all this time. It's been a long path to going plaid and it wouldn't have happened without all of you, and FifthFuller for providing the template for hilarity.
Joe, you're up. Congrats Treadmill on the biggest TKP accomplishment since the invent of the GIF, or the leg, or the leg for a great GIF, whatever congrats.
EDIT: It just happened, gonna go cry in the corner now.
I have a feeling that I got a little extra help...tryin' to bring you along, I stole the Christmas tree line from you!
Neato, thanks!
In retrospect, maybe only a few of those classes should gain the background...
The font is lighter now, so it's actually readable. The rest is exactly as I'd expect plaid to be.
It's an honor and pleasure to be the first plaid comment.
I tried font-weight: bold; in the css via devtools and it was...still dizzying. I'm gonna play around with this a bit.
We need a Hall of Plaid that features all plaid comments.
Wasn't there a comment that got 153 legs last week? I thought there was one in some thread about UVA.
EDIT: It was 183.
Thank you, thank you!

Joe, is this now part of the system?
Is this a "Spaceballs" reference?
How's the Vols' Coaching Search going, guys? Find anyone willing to take it?
How about you guys?
At some point maybe a year or so ago the idea was kicked around that along with a comment going green for 10 upvotes, we could have a marker for really popular comments (100 or so).
Once the logistics had been discussed, the color was brought up. Plaid was the widely approved winner of that comment chain.
I want a Comment Hall of Fame for the most uplegged comments of all time, like the Turkey Leg Big Board.
Prepare for a lot of Emma Watson high-fiving Kyle Fuller while Frank makes googly eyes.
Lots of VT Fireman, jreynolds, and French.
I'd also like a comment Hall of Shame. It could be conveniently linked in the Community Guidelines. There have been some all time greats for downvoted comments over the years.
Tell that damn truth.
🤣RIP (rest in penalty box) Arnie
We fade those out because we don't want them representing our community.
I'm happy not to see them again.
Go to the leg board and then go to the last page. You can find some pretty epic ones.
That was truly masterful. Leg for you!
Plaid comments go against all usability guidelines, ever.
Did every 100 plus comment go plaid? Every Guiterman and Bill Roth comment will be plaid then.
Shot in the dark...I'd bet the plaid CSS is applied on the condition that a comment has a 100+ score. Any comment you can find with that score should get this applied after the new CSS is loaded
Holy shit!!
Holy shit
In Joe we trust...
Shit, he's already recruiting for FSU. Damn they move fast.
Best ESPN ticker subject ever.
I saw that and definitely chuckled. Came here to see if anyone posted. Wasn't disappointed.
i think its going to be Charlie "florida" Strong
Hope not we need more Willie jokes.
Yeah but Charlie is a really Strong candidate
Treadmill, while I have never met you, I like you, and you are a good man. Not just a good man, but a gentleman I assume. However on this day, this particular day, we find ourselves, our legs if you will, tangled. We race toward the promised (plaid) land, filled with mixed colors and such. Good luck to you sir.
If I'm going plaid I'm not going alone - not willingly. Joe, don't let me be plaid unless Stone gets there with me!
http://www.thekeyplay.com/comment/625297#comment-625297
EDIT: The link is to HokieStone's comment upthread...currently sitting at 85 legs.
I AM SPARTACUS!!
Meanwhile at the aTm bake sale, to benefit the new football coach...

That's probably not from selling cakes and donuts.
No, those are Johnny Football's boys buying the cupcakes.
Alright... I'm going to be that guy....
The pattern above isn't Plaid. Its Check.
Tartan vs Plaid vs Check
This would be more appropriate for Plaid:
In fact, that's the official Virginia Tech Tartan/Plaid registered through the Scottish Register of Tartans
