Apparently we're playing North Carolina twice Saturday...

Man, as if Noon games aren't bad enough, we also play one at 1 AM (against the Heels before we play them again)!
Accoring to ESPN, we play in the "Atlanticm:"
1. "Virginia Tech QB Logan Thomas: Perhaps no player in the ACC has faced more criticism in the first month of the season, but in spite of his struggles, Thomas now has his Hokies in position to win the Atlanticm thanks to an upset of Georgia Tech in which he was nearly flawless. Thomas completed 19-of-25 passes (just his second career game completing better than 70 percent of his throws) for 221 yards and a TD. He also rushed 16 times for 58 yards and another touchdown. Plenty of credit again goes to the Virginia Tech D, which sealed the game with a late interception, but it was Thomas' sterling performance that provides hope the Hokies still have a shot at a BCS game..
Note: ESPN soon corrected this, after comments brought it to their attention.

Here's another division misalignment by David Hale on ESPN (he made the one listed above as well, though that one has since been fixed)
And what happened to North Carolina? Sure, the Tar Heels hadn't opened the season with many fireworks, but this was a team that tied for the Atlantic Division title a year ago, looked at least reasonably capable against South Carolina in its opener and was up early on Georgia Tech a week ago before faltering late. So did the Heels take out their frustrations against East Carolina? Not even close. UNC allowed 603 yards and 55 points, of course.
lol
According to the latest piece by The Neck we play Pitt and NC next week.
Wait, they announced the game time of the Pitt and Duke games? I don't want a 1:00! Gimme 3 at least.
It says 1 am. Must be their default if no game time has been announced. I'd say Pitt might actually end up being a 1 or whatever time ESPN3 games are.
But how could they possibly not catch that they have us play the university of non-compliance twice next Saturday?!
Well it looks like a bleacher report app, so does that answer it?

Those 1 AM games are brutal......
Yeehaw it's a night game in Hawaii party at my house!
Guys I hate ESPN as much as the next guy, but does this really deserve a post? Everybody makes mistakes and I'd like to think that the bloggers have better shit to do on weekends then proofread their blogger friend's posts..
Agreed. I tend to go to them for major league sports info but I don't really entertain their college stuff...
No, the game action is on weekend, that's when they should be working.
The rest of the world is on shift, I expect the same of these guys.
Ok then. I'll shift the focus of my ridicule; I'd like to think that people have better things to do with their weekend than nitpick bloggers.
preach.
I expect at least a little effort to be put into reporting.
I think we all do, and it is laughable that ESPN mistakes what conference we are in but the way they make money is by having people read their articles. If we recognize that they are bad, which is sad since that's their job, why are we investing so much time in a typo? I think what VTCEE is saying, and I tend to agree--there is so much football to be watched on the weekends, and discussed on this forum that a, somewhat expected (since they don't care much about the ACC), doesn't seem to justify this much attention. But that's just me. I have long since realized we won't get respect from ESPN which is why I joined this forum, to talk and read about VT and other CFB news.
I can't help but find humor in the fact you took time to post on this thread, if you felt that way. To each their own.
That is such a lame comment to make and you know it. That post took me all of 30 seconds; probably about the same time yours did. And this thread is like the tenth one this week dishing on ESPN or the Bleacher Report so I'd say it was very necessary.
I guess we are going to have the rare college football double header...I hope we sweep them
hahahaha
