Isn't Wood Baron 250? although he is our backup be we've put undersized DL's in all the time, actually we've moved Collins before and a list of many more this isn't surprising, but the thing that surprises me is what is this saying about his LB skills? Is this a coaching mistake or a is he getting worse? Just my opinion.
Woody Barron is 265. I think the difference is that we recruited Woody Barron and Corey Marshall as DL guys where as Moore wasn't.
It could be coaching, or my bet would be on that Moore was simply overrated coming out of HS.

Uva should always be made fun of on a daily basis, but we have the #1te from 2009 as our qb ( though it has worked well for us so far). So not sure this is one of those times
But Moore was the lynchpin of their "Taking Back the 757" recruiting mantra. And moving a TE to QB is a promotion, moving a stud MLB to DT is .....not so much. Not to mention that a 250 lb DT is not an NFL prospect, whereas a 250lb MLB is.
This isn't good for uva, it either says that Moore wasn't as good as they thought or that they are squeezing him into a position that isn't in his best interests. Either way, in the 757, this won't look good.
I think you guys might be going through Corey Marshall's thought process, and be able to see why he would like to redshirt this year.
LT was not moved... he was a QB in HS and won the position here, as happens a lot with 'athlete' recruits who take college coaching and prosper in their original HS position.
I would just point out that Logan had QB experience in HS so even though people assumed he would be a TE, there was always potential for him at QB. Where as Moore has never played on the DL.
But yea, I'm just trying to make fun of UVA in every way possible. Get your logic outta here!!

Kwontie Moore was ridiculously overrated (the main knock being that he was terribly slow)... Or at least this was the opinion of everybody who followed VA high school football. The irony is that he's moving to DL because he's so slow, yet he's still probably slower than Hop who has like >50 pounds on him. If he plays against us I hope someone has a griddle because there are going to be some pancakes being served up.
