For those who wished for Logan to not throw until Saturday...

your wish came true. Doesn't seem to be a big deal.

50ish yards and a touch down after the first quarter (when he got injured) leads me to believe Bitter is right.

So he'll throw for 400 on Saturday, is what you're saying.

basically, yes.

knock on wood....

What a tough kid. Sprained foot and abdomen? LT3 is just awesome.

No worries mrfisk :) Just a silly joke which prob didn't make much sense. I really need to go home...been a longggg Monday.

@AMB4VT

Mr. Fisk is about to reach through your computer and choke hold you, lol. Jokes aside, Leal or not, Logan sacked up and played awesome.

C'mon y'all. Take it easy with the Leal-ish references (see what I did there). LT3 ain't gonna be with us next season and (for all intents and purposes) Leal is most likely going to be the starter. Plus (heaven forbid) should anything happen this season, he's the next guy in.

As for the Leal supporters, keep holding that clipboard. His time will come. LT3 is Optimus Prime.

GahTech had Megatron, but we have Optimus Prime, and OP always wins.

So we aren't gonna run him like a wrecking ball 20 times this Saturday?

They said the sprain happened in the first quarter of the game, he did most of his running in the second half so I wouldn't count him out for having the most carries of anyone on the team.

I had my mouse over the down vote for that "she-who-must-not-be-named" post but then I realized, that was his opinion...what is this world coming to?

"Exit light..."

ew!

It was so off the wall, I had to share.

"Exit light..."

To think this young lady, shamelessly prostituting herself visually to america, was once Hannah montana. A Disney character who's image was on the back of every elementry school backpack, belonging to a little girl, in america. Iconic. It's sad really.

Wasn't Britney Spears in the Mickey Mouse club, too?

What are we doing to our children...

At least she somewhat rebounded, and found herself a Hokie.

I actually feel sorry for the young Cyrus, Spears, Hilton, Olsons, Lohans and so many others. They are just young people "Soiling their Oats." It is just that they are "soiling" theirs in public. I was no better then them. It has to be harder for them than the averager young person, because they are so seperated from the average person. They are trying to figure everything out too, and who is guiding them, their managers?

Look at Solomon, the richest man to have ever lived, and he said "Anything I wanted, I would take. I denied myself no pleasure. I even found great pleasure in hard work, a reward for all my labors. But as I looked at everything I had worked so hard to accomplish, it was all so meaningless, like chasing the wind. There was nothing really worthwhile anywhere." If this man was alive today in his latter years, he would be on anti-depressants. A man who literally had everything...Yet had nothing. We all need something more substantial than materials. I believe our Quarterback and CFB would be the first to agree too.

Excellent comment!

Some might ask are you mistaken in your use of the phrase "Soiling their oats"....the common usage would be "sewing their oats" or "sewing their wild oats". If this was your intent, glad we could clear it up. If "soiling" was an intended re-working of the phrase, it is brilliantly accurate.

Take the shortest route to the ball and arrive in bad humor.

"Sowing wild oats"

I stand corrected. Spelling wasn't in my wheel house. Thank goodness for spell check.

I think "soiling" works well here.

Oh, those dirty dirty oats...

Wow. Dude is tough. I've been one to question how much he cares before. Last year it seemed to me like he wasn't a great leader at all when we needed him most. But good god, you can question his decisions all you want but I take back anything I've ever said about him as a leader.

Rip his freaking head off!

Time for the RB's and O-line to step up and run the show. Edmunds needs another 100 yard game, with 50+ from Coleman and Mangus each. And would somebody please give the ball to Joel Caleb once in a while, please?

I think Caleb isn't getting snaps because he's still learning pass protection. He had a HUGE whiff in the GT game. He's only been practicing the position for a bit so I don't fault him, but I think that's why we aren't seeing much of him yet.

Agreed. They had one camera angle from behind logan and i watched Caleb take two steps, put his arms up and then the linebacker decked him and went for LT. it was kind of pitiful

That would be the one. He will get better and I'm sure they are working with him, but with Mangus's performance I think they aren't in a rush to push him into game action

Yup, I remember another play. Caleb block was trying to get a solid hit with his left shoulder, and the defender just dodged it and went over his back. Almost a rough as Colemans attempt to block on a D-lineman (I don't remember when this was in the game). The D-lineman seemed to swat JC away and had free access to LT3. Edmunds seemed to do better blocking then those two.

I agree with all of you, Caleb cannot block well yet, but I am not calling for him to be in the game for pass pro, just give him some runs or some screens or swing passes and see what he can do with the ball in his hands. I understand that reduces LT's ability to call audibles if his tailback cannot block well, but Caleb can be a playmaker, and we could use some plays on offense that don't involve LT getting contact. Just saying that we need several somebodies other than LT to carry the rock, especially now that LT is getting nicked up.

Agreed, I'm surprised they haven't put him and Mangus out as receivers with the option to flex one or both into the backfield. I know many people on here have talked about it.

I don't believe Caleb is hopeless, by anymeans. That block would have worked in Highschool 9-10 times at least. I think he is just a freshman, I am sure Lil'Beamer can point it out and Caleb will be able to fix it in the future.

Caleb definitely has the size to be a good blocker, just of matter of technique and experience I suspect. I think that you are right in that with a solid year of reps in spring and summer camps with Shane coaching him, Caleb could be every bit the blocker that Edmunds is now. Hope so, at least.

Lest we forget, we recruited him and put him at WR and then RB.

He played QB in high school. He's probably not used to the blocking side yet. But he will learn.
