Um.... making fun of people who think there is an active assault on a holiday is not any more out of line than much of the stuff that is ridiculed on this site. As a matter of fact, some of the attacks on people associated with certain universities are much more vicious (and in poorer taste) than my little poke here.

Its not the spirit, its the topic. There are three things you want avoid completely, even with humor. Politics, Religion, and personal attacks or innuendo about current players. This is too close to the first 2. Don;t do it.
