I wonder how many teams can say they might have too much depth to decide who are the best players to start in any role?
I'm sure there are a handful of teams that have that problem in the spring/early season. But we're over third of the way through the season. Our secondary has developed a very good chemistry. IMO you put the players who give you best chance to win on the field. Regardless of age/seniority. If that's Antone, then he plays. If that's Facyson, then he plays.
Just think of it like this, Kendall and Brandon will have a few more seasons. This is Exum's last (same with Kyle) to prove himself to the pros. He's worked his butt off to return to the field, and I don't see the defense really dropping off much anyways with the way the Front 7 is playing.
I hate this move. I really think that this is a wrong move. Exum played ok last year, but it took him a while to adjust to playing corner. He was no where near as good as Facyson has been this year. I think he should get some reps, but no way should Exum start over Facyson.
Microfracture surgery is the kiss of death. Exum will be lucky to play anywhere near the level he used too.
