I am thrilled for the man. Well deserved.
Congrats Coach Beamer! Thank you for making Virginia Tech Football into something we all love and cherish!
And on the same day his son is coaching in a National Championship. Not a bad day!

Frank is thrilled to hear the news!
A man of character, He's all about the team, not himself. Thanks Coach.
Frank taking in the news. Congrats coach!
Will Hank be there?
Of course John Ballein checks Frank's mail when he is out of town.
Well now I might have a reason to watch the first few minutes.
ESPN reports he will be on the field:

Hopefully he'll be wearing some VT attire or at least a pin. Need all the face time we can get at the MNC game.
If I were him, I'd wear my HOAT shirt with a burnt orange blazer.
Nah, he should totes spot the DBU shirt since he was a DB.
I heard he is at the local barber shop getting the name "Ford" shaved on the side of his head.
I'm just glad Frank is making the Expedition to the big game. Should be quite the Fiesta.

Coach Beamer, Congrats! Magnificent!
What about
"Frank, you magnificent bastard! I read your book!"
CFB prior to the game at the 'Shoe is the equivalent of Patton's look while shooting a 1911 at a Messerschmitt.
Was a Remington model 51 in real life. Never got a great look at the one in the movie.
Can't tell for sure, but I think they just gave George S. Scott 1911's for the role.
I bet he was Beam(er)ing with joy when he got the news!
...I'll see myself out
Hell yeah Coach! Congratulations!
EDIT: Coach will also be on the field tonight for the coin toss in the National Championship with Mack Brown, who will also be inducted into the CFB HOF.
This honor couldn't have went to a more deserving recipient. A great football coach, leader, mentor and overall person.
It's about damn time! Well deserved, we literally wouldn't be where we are as a program without you Frank!
LET'S GOOO

From what game is this? That's the most badass I have seen CFB.
USC in 2004
Ah, yes, the no touch Offensive pass interference game.
And BS roughing the passer.
We were right over top of where that happened... Such a game changing call. We likely go up two scores there with momentum midway through the 3rd quarter.
Yessir.
Congratulations, Coach. This is a no-brainer.
Wait, what about Hunter Carpenter and Carroll Dale?
Hall of Fame Inductees
And Jerry Claiborne too. I know he coached at other places, but still was head VT football coach for most of the 60s.
# 84 looks a lot like Richard Nixon.
Everybody looked like Richard Nixon back then.
Saturn V?
To the moon?
So happy for him!
Frank Beamer is deserving of any and all accolades that come his way. What an amazing accomplishment for such a great man.
I know it's been said a bajillion times but Frank's integrity makes me so proud to be a Hokie. In a day in age where coaches are getting in trouble for sexual harassment, paying recruits and providing hookers, covering up molestation, and so much more Frank is a guy who coached at the same school for almost 30 years without even the tiniest rumor of moral failure at any level. What a G.
I graduated from Tech in the same year that Beamer did. As far as I know, I never shared a class or met him, but I would have been in the stands for his first home game as a player (it was mandatory attendance for the Corps to be in the stands for all the home games) and I was in the stands in Charlottesville for his last regular season game as a coach.
I worked in military intelligence for my entire career so there was never much I could say in social circles, but I could point to Coach Beamer and Virginia Tech and borrow a little bit of the shine from his star and stand proud with him for our school..
Congrats to Frank. A tremendous honor for a tremendous man and coach. Nick Saban and Urban Meyer both said that they don't think they'll be another coach with that level of character in the game and they were right. Frank did everything the right way.
This is awesome! Just don't tell Cory Holt!

Gotcha with the embed, fam.
ZERO doubt. UNDISPUTED. I mean the Hall was just waiting for him to retire to instantaneously induct him. Just like that.

Sorry, couldn't help it. Not an attack, just screwing around.
A well deserved honor for a great coach and human being.
HOF MIC DROP
YESSSSSS!
" Wasn't he the coach for Georgia Tech?" - shirtless Jim Harbaugh
Franks for the memories, coach. There will never be another like you.
"Aw shucks I'm just thankful for opportunity, not many people get the chances I got and not many guys are surrounded with great people like me." -CFB upon hearing news, definitely
Love ya Coach, you deserve it and then some!! Celebratory milkshake with his main man Hank is in order.
To Frank, you are Virginia Tech!! Thank you for the program you built, we are all grateful.

Beamer deserves this more than any other human.
But Frank Beamer isn't all about his own press clippings.
What Would Frank Beamer Do?
Frank Beamer might decide that he shouldn't be inducted into the hall of fame. He might think that, since assistants are not eligible for the hall of fame, that he should decline the honor until a certain defensive coordinator is inducted with him.
Upon his announcement at the game tonite the SEC fans couldnt even cheer him, bunch of homers...
We've already mentioned Frank and Mack Brown twice in his thread. The third inductee on the field? A former NFL and Georgia player, Stinchcomb. Got plenty of cheers.
Not sure I've heard of him.
What do you guys think was in the hall of fame package that Beamer got in the mail?
A fine collection of sauces & marinades.
I hope he got some new sauces and not just his own! XD
Aaaaaaand now I'm craving a Fantastic Frank from Owens. Thanks for that
Anyone have info on when the induction is? That'd be worth a trip up to Atlanta
From HokieSports:
So it sounds like the official induction will take place in New York City. I'm not sure if there will be a second induction ceremony in Atlanta.
Congratulations Pal/Palsy.
Always the humble leader.
WOOHOO!! I can now add "Hall of Fame Football Fan" to my resume. CFB said so.
