Likely not much of a game writeup today. The entire household is under the weather. Wake beat Syracuse but lost to Boston College and UNC in conference play. Their win over the Orange was the first time they had ever beaten Syracuse and they did it without theur leading scorer Keyshaun Woods who may also miss the game tonight. Look for Bryant Crawford to step into the role of go to guy for them if Woods sits out. The Demon Deacons have quite a few bigs but only seem to play one or two of them consistently, going with a more guard packed lineup instead. Blackshear will have his hands full with Doral Moore regardless. The center is 7'1, 280 lbs and putting up 9.4 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.

I'll see both of you there! Work with a couple hokies and we have some co workers who just enjoy the proximity of wake (we live in winston) and go to games when they can. Will be my first time seeing our boys live this season.

If our threes are falling, I suspect you won't be disappointed. If not, I'd be a bit subdued with the smack until you see how we deal with that...again. I've seen about all of their games this year, and just cannot get a sense of what we have from one game to the next the last several tilts. It's like sometimes we're Elvis, sometimes we're Jesco, ya know?
I was at the Wake vs. Tennessee game because we had free tickets and because fuck tennessee. I will say that Woods and Crawford look good and if Woods is out, that's a huge plus for us. Wake looked completely inept on offense when

When the ball was crossing the line, the WF player's hand was on the ball, too so it's not a foul. Thank God the possession arrow was in our favor.
The part of the play that looked like a foul was the when JR was leaning over to pick up the ball, the WF player pushed him down. It wasn't a back court violation due to the WF player touching ball before it went over the line.
I was amazed that part went uncalled.

We did a good job taking the crowd out early. They got a little help from the refs, but it would have been worse if there was a crowd to play it up for. There were a lot of Hokies there for an away week night game. We opened the second half a little soft, but toughened up to pull it out. Good win, good time. Need to keep getting tougher if we want to get better. Need a little of that LeDay undersized fight from someone.
