I will be very surprised if Exum gets significant reps this week. Just can't imagine that he is 100% ready to go. Hope he gets there soon but want our best guys out there Saturday. Hope we don't sleep on these TarHoles like Bud said I think they are much more dangerous than their record indicates! Let's go!

Bucky is definitely the quarterback for the future. I don't see him playing tight end extinsively. Cline looks pretty good as a true freshman. We are set there. Bucky needs to keep progressing, otherwise him and Ford will have quite the quarterback competition in the coming years.

I think assuming Leal will be the starter next year is a safe bet. He's going to be r-Sr going into his fifth year in the program. Additionally, Loeffler has stated that he can do everything LT can do. It would take an extraordinary effort by any of the other QBs to take the starting job away from Leal.

plus it seems like loeffler likes to play mind games and he holds his cards close to his chest. I'm sure since he'll only have Leal for 1 year he'll use it as an opportunity to really mold his own QB recruit and keep him under wraps until he can break him out in 2015. I expect Leal to play a majority of every game next season and then in 2015 we might see an entirely different type of QB who will have a couple of years in the system under his belt and can come out and surprise some people. We might have a pretty solid O-line by then too and we'll be able to get more into the power running type of offense Loeffler says he wants to run.

I def prefer the VA Pilot site because you don't have to see the grammar error laden comments from the minions (booger eating VT haters) that post shit on here. Thank God they put that functionality in their site.
For those that enjoy reading garbage from cville locals with intelligence quotients in the 70's - the ROA site still publishes that crap.

Seeing Bucky live, he has a ton of work to do before he gets a sniff at quarterback. I am willing to bet both Motley and Ford will be ahead of him in spring practice.

Also, why not pick up the Times Dispatch while you are at it? Mike Barber is a joke. His football acumen is on par with Bryant Gumble (not to be confused with Greg) and he consistently refers to us as "VA Tech" which the media guides specifically state not to call us.
Even the dumbest press member with a 5th grade reading level could get that right.

"Were just playing around with him in a few route combinations, but its nothing of significance right now. Nothing for us to even talk about right now. - Scot Loeffler
CoachTranslator- "One more thing for that cheesedick UNC defensive coordinator to game plan for, even if he has not actually ran a single route in practice. Ha ha!"

I think the stage is set for one, but Facyson is already hot. So that indicates that he'll play unless Exum comes out and out performs him, which is unlikely. All respect in the world to Exum, but I think Facyson is way way better.

I'll give you that. Just exposed to some fans and alum that said he's the future. I watched some of his HS stuff I found, and it was ok. I'm just really impressed with Ford. But I'll agree, all of them have plenty of time to prove themselves.

Gotta trust the coaches on this. That's why they're the coaches.
Huh, Bucky Hodges doing work at TE. If Ford gets the starting QB job, I wouldn't be surprised if Bucky moves to TE after Malleck moves on.

Don't go to sleep on Motley at QB - kid can play. There'll be a three-way race to be Leal's back-up next year.
That assumes that Leal is the starter next year.

My money's on Ford. He's Lefty's first recruit and obviously sees something in him.

Have a snickers, bro.

This actually made me laugh out loud, a true LOL. Good times French.
Okay - I laughed!
But, we did use LT once to catch a TD pass from Taylor in 2010 against WF. "Cheesedick" may have cause for doing some extra prep.
"Cheesedick"...That. Just. Happened.
I like this approach. I feel like it will fare better than the "hot-hand" approach with the running backs last year.
Cornerback controversy?

My money's on Ford, if he comes in and plays like it sounds like he's capable of playing. Bucky on the field somewhere, though.
Andrew Ford will be the guy. He's a lefty and its been too long since we had a lefty QB in Blacksburg.
I agree, I'm not impressed with Bucky.
What have you seen to be impressed or not with the kid? We're way ahead of ourselves on the QB thing!

It's kind of like the wealth we have in the secondary. I have no problem having 2 maybe 3 capable quarterbacks competing for the job in the future.
