Won't be a quality win. They're down three starters, and will probably lose a lot more this season as a result. If anything, the point spread would hurt us.

Goddamn announcers wouldn't shut up about it. They were making excuses for a possible ND loss with 10 min left in the first half. If that's the narrative in real time, it'll only solidify in the coming weeks. We get no credit for accomplishments.

I agree. With that ND lineup, this should have been a more comfortable win (>10 points). I think if we played this way against a healthy ND team, we lose this game. But a win is a win, especially on the road.

Well, take away the buzzer beating desperation halfcourt heave to end the first half, and then their super long three at the end of the game, and we take care of beating them by more than 10. I'm not upset about that, and don't discount the fact that sometimes when backs are against the wall at home, even a wounded team can be dangerous as the other well recruited players get their chance for glory. We done good, and I'm quite satisfied with this win. NEXT!

Sorry arse ESPN, didn't even talk about our tough win, all they wanted to talk about was Mike Brey and how tough the Irish were playing. Enjoyed that win the most this season. Played with so much heart. Clarke get a jump shot in the off-season he's gonna make it to the league. FAM!!!!

That was about the longest 13 minutes of game time I've watched all season. The game just could not end fast enough. Team did a great job getting punched in the mouth and hanging in there in the 2nd half. Big ACC road win fam!

Wonder how many have any idea what you meant there. I do. We beat ND in the NIT tournament. Last second shot by Bobby Stevens from the right corner.
Hokie B.B. was fun back then.
Edit: Nitwit and loco hmmmm.

Great win! I thought we were going to choke it away after Blackshear fouled up but the team rallied instead. Clarke was a best in the last 30 seconds. That tip back was huge.
If we had lost by 3 or less, I was going to rue that half court shot to end the first half.

Given the way the officiating was (based on the game thread comments) I am surprised they didn't Clarke for a travel or being out of bounds in the play on the leftright.

Still thought that the play on the right should have been reviewed for a technical foul on Gibbs. He grabbed Clarke around the shoulders and failed to suplex him but still threw him to the floor. There is no basketball play anywhere in that and from the replay its obvious that Gibbs put some extra effort into bringing Clarke down.

FAM, I figured it out. Due to "adulting" requirements (ie dinners, putting kids to bed, etc), I had to DVR the last two games and watch them a few hours after. We're 2-0 during that stretch, with quality wins. It's science.

I was only able to catch the last 6 minutes, but the Hokies hung tough. Great win!
FAM
Got a monkey off our backs tonight and a potential quality win come Selection Sunday.
FAM!

Guess all there left to do is win
Luckily they had 2 refs on their bench to keep it close.
Huh, ND was 3-4 pt favorite even with the injuries. Quality road win.
Point spread? ND was favored to win by 3 to 4 points based on your book. A win is a win when being the dogs!
The idea that an ACC road win will hurt us is one of the more ludicrously pessimistic things I've seen in a while.
I tend to agree. I am of the mindset that all ACC road wins are quality wins.
I agree with you. I just don't think the selection committee will, because they've screwed us several times in the past.

Take away each of ND's meaningless end of half 3 pointers (one of which was half court and the other was 1/3 court), we beat them by 11.
And if you ignore any INTs thrown in the rain, Mitch Tromboneski had a crazy long streak without a pick...
He plays for the Bears, hasn't he suffered enough?
Not as much as:
2017 DeShone Kizer (15) / Kevin Hogan (1)
2016 Robert Griffin III (5) / Josh McCown (3) / Cody Kessler (8)
2015 Josh McCown (8) / Johnny Manziel (6) / Austin Davis (2)
2014 Brian Hoyer (13) / Johnny Manziel (2) / Connor Shaw (1)
2013 Jason Campbell (8) / Brandon Weeden (5) / Brian Hoyer (3)
2012 Brandon Weeden (15) / Thad Lewis (1)
2011 Colt McCoy (13) / Seneca Wallace (3)
2010 Colt McCoy (8) / Jake Delhomme (4) / Seneca Wallace (4)
2009 Brady Quinn (9) / Derek Anderson (7)
2008 Derek Anderson (9) / Brady Quinn (3) / Ken Dorsey (3) / Bruce Gradkowski (1)
2007 Derek Anderson (15) / Charlie Frye (1)
2006 Charlie Frye (13) / Derek Anderson (3)
2005 Trent Dilfer (11) / Charlie Frye (5)
etc for the Browns.....
The good thing about playing QB for the Browns is that it usually only lasts a season. Playing for the Bears is a multi-season sentence.

I feel like the game was the epitome of this season so far but a win is a win fam!
FAM!
Clarke would not be denied down the stretch. FAM!
Wouldn't be denied? I once saw another legend who wouldn't be denied a touchdown.
Really important for this team to know they can win close games. Plenty more of those to come.
BOURBON! 🥃
Let's party like it's 1973!

Great win, Hokies! Saw the score at half and figured I should continue to not watch to keep the juju alive. Glad it paid off!
There are no bad road wins in the ACC, only good ones. Two good wins in a row, with a decent chance to make it 3.
Given the way the officiating was (based on the game thread comments) I am surprised they didn't Clarke for a travel or being out of bounds in the play on the
leftright.Honestly, I was shocked they didn't clarify that a Hokie fouled before then. It was ridiculous.
Claeke put the team on his shoulder that last sequence. Excellent gif work.

The announcers, however

Yea, they were ND tools.

I'm sorry you can never watch a live game again
YOU ARE WELCOME. Tonight was one of the biggest parades of Mardi Gras in New Orleans so I wasn't able to watch this game live.
And we beat fucking UVA FAM!!!!!!!
Yeah so you're definitely never watching another game this season. Sorry.
