The more you watch Kyle Fuller the more appreciation you get for him as a player. Tape vs Bama is outstanding. pic.twitter.com/OiGw5xMX8X— Kevin Weidl (@KevinW_ESPN) October 3, 2013

Uh oh. I hope we don't read our own headlines.
Kyle's read plenty of his own headlines over his time at Tech. He hasn't gotten a swelled head yet - why would he start now?
don't his Fuller powers prevent this?
But...ESPN hates VT. Just look at HD, right? She obviously hates us and we never get College Gameday anymore so ESPN hates everything about VT
/sarcastica
Can we not start this?
Starting to become a tired rhetoric
I agree it has nothing to do with HD its about Kyle getting some acknowledgement. It's funny how when ESPN does give our guys props we bring up HD...smh
Note the /sarcastica. It was merely a sarcastic joke to poke at all those who claim ESPN hates us.
Dude if it was sarcastic joke please put your punchline and say your joking at the end or something lol
*This is a joke ;)
I clearly saw it as sarcastica the moment I read the ellipsis.
Look people have been going hard about HD this past week and to be honest I'm tired of talking about her. I don't know what he meant or if he was being sarcastic about it the first post. I read his response as I do everyone's and I put what my opinion is on it whether I agree or disagree were not all going to agree on everything.
If you read my post then you should have seen the /sarcastica below it. That means it was written with a sarcastic tone. That's enough to say I was joking as you suggested.
see this is why HD needs to be fired from ESPN...she's tearing this fan base to shreds!!! I hate E$ECPN!!!
This post brought to you by #sarcastica
And I wasn't talking about your meme I was talking about your first post.
Hence didn't you
see me say * This is a joke at the end?
My man, there's a clear "/sarcastica" in his first post. I'm confused.
I think it's a sarcastica battle.
Hehehe - he said "poke".
OMG who gives a rats behind about anything else being discussed here that statue is glorious! Mad props!
Exactly which is why I moved on. I personally said I was joking as well. But hey some people get it and some people don't.
I'm so aroused right now.
/sarcas...
Oh who the hell am I trying to kid.

BEST TOUCH EVER
I don't hate Va Tech... it's just that more often than not recently the other team is better. Especially when that other team is Clemson or Miami.
Brings a smile to my face to think that for another 2+ years they will be saying the same thing just replacing "Kyle
with "Kendall".
Pollack had nothing but good things to say about the GT game. But I agree, sometimes I feel like we are hated by ESPN.
I agree usually with the "ESPN hate" accusations, but today on College Football Daily, Dari Nowkhah had us as his #1 defense and the other analyst also had us top 5. Finally some ESPN love!
Imagine that, we actually show that we can win real games and they stop trashing us? What an odd coincidence.
Do the Fullers have any cousins that play football?
Get some DNA, we'll clone them. That's still more reasonable than paying unproven talent like some other schools
Is that a pic of Bud the morning after a big victory?
I think it was supposed to be in response to the "Do the Fullers have cousins" question, as I'm pretty sure that character's name in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is Cousin Eddie.
Correct. Forgot to reply to it.
shitter's full!
I'll tweet them this
I'm really surprised how he's playing this year. He had some injuries that kind of slowed him down last year, but he's really playing like a late first to second round pick right now. I hope he can keep this up. I hear a lot about how Exum is the best DB on the team from a lot of writers outside of VT when he was hurt before the season, but In my opinion I think its Kyle. I feel like Facyson and Kendall has had the opportunity to to learn from Kyle and Coach Gray I just hope they continue to grow because next year they will be our starters.
Didn't Gray once say that Kyle could be a coach someday? I think Kyle is gonna be a hell of a DB coach to carry on the tradition of DBU.
So, following the procreation plan laid out below, we'd have Coach Fuller coaching a team full of Fullers? Mind blown.
I love how half of those plays show his physical gifts... and the other half show his intelligence about how to play the position.
Excellent combination.
I'm ashamed to admit that I forgot about a good number of these plays. He's playing like a Fuller.
Watched this about 10 times in a row. Still going.
the timing on that last defended play is unreal. His only cue about when the ball is going to arrive is the receiver.
#kylefullerhasmadskills
Great. Thanks alot. Thanks to that video I just laid my boss out with a low form tackle, then when he got up and reached for his dropped coffee mug, I batted it away and gave him the no-no sign. Probably fired. Oh, well, more TKP time...
I feel like too many people here are giving way too much of a shit what "people" are saying. You know how to shut people up - WIN GAMES! The more we win, the more people will shut up. We were one of the most successful college football "franchises" for the better part of a decade. That breeds hate. I say F*** them all. We love the hokies, we know what our program is capable of, better than that we BELIEVE. So stop caring about the Neck, ESPN, or anybody else who doesn't believe. Support your team and drink hard. Everything else will take care of itself.
You sir said it best... Turkey leg for you!
This whole thread is just confusing. Kind of amusing, but really confusing.
OK how about this: Each one of the Fuller brothers has 4 boys in the same 4 consecutive years ... you following so far? .... so, lets say the first four Fuller kids become freshman (early enrollment of course) in 2033 ... still following? .... so by 2037, we would have SIXTEEN Fullers playing on the same team and ensure at least 4 Fullers on the team from 2033 to 2041. Thus it is written, Thus it shall become! GO HOKIES!
I laughed...then...became kind of excited...turkey leg for you sir.
How bout this?... TWINS! GO HOKIES!
Twins Basil! Twins!

Excellent planning. I don't see how this could go wrong. Especially when you project it out to 2053-2061 when each of the 16 have 4 boys, which means 64 Fullers on the roster in 2057, who will probably be getting to practice on their NCAA-provided hover skateboards.
now that's just unrealistic right there... ;)
GO HOKIES!
In said situation, would we still be the Hokies? Or the Virginia Tech Fullers?
We'll just replace the 'Fighting' with 'Fuller' and become the Virginia Tech Fuller Gobblers
Fuller U.
I believe this idea was presented a while ago as well, but I'm too busy (read: lazy) to go leaf through the forums. It was a beautiful thought then as it is now.
People.....
We have the technology, why wait?
All this can be done on campus, in the top-secret VT cloning lab.
Why do you think we joined forces with Wake Forest to start a Bio-engineering program?
I give you the plan:
Let's clone Derrick Hopkins but instead of using a sheep we'll use a rhinoceros. ManBearPigOceros?
Technology is now outdated. Induced pluripotent stem cells is much easier than nuclear transfer.
You, sir, are now in charge.
I expect the first batch of new Fullers in time for the bowl game.
If they're all derived from the same cell/cell line, then I suspect we could make a strong argument that an entire team of Fullers only necessitates the use of one scholarship.
Behold the atomic superfullers!
Note: Chronotons not included.
You know, I actually do research using induced pluripotent stem cells. So, as soon as I can get a skin biopsy of each fuller, I can actually make their stem cells. The problem is after that...
Besides the ethical violations which we won't consider, I will need the following:
1) money to do the project
2) Egg donors, which will have to be fertilized in vitro
3) A LOT of fertile women willing to be surrogates for the Fullers - when this was done in mouse, after optimization, they had a success rate of 3.5% of mice being born from this method. Considering humans will probably be 100 times harder, I will need approximately 3,000 surrogates to get 1 Fuller.
Let's get this going. Any volunteers?
If you're a dork like me, and actually want to read about how to make a living mammal out of skin cells from another living mammal, here's the news story from 2009:
http://www.nature.com/news/2009/090723/full/460560a.html
The underlying assumption here is that the womb of the average woman is capable of harboring a Fuller fetus. No small task, I would imagine. To properly create these superchildren, you'd probably need to up the estimate to 10,000 women per Fuller, if not more.
+1 for geeking me out. I don't get anywhere near iPS research, but with my biochem background, I always find it cool.
You're probably right. 3000 may be a huge underestimate. One wonders how Mama Fuller handled 4 Fullers on her own. Probably the greatest woman, ever. At least right up there with Joan of Arc, Madame Curie, Rosa Parks, Eva Peron, Florence Nightingale, and Queen Victoria.
BRRRUUUUCCEEE!!!!
I've noticed that ESPN is starting to believe in us again. Logan is player of the week in ACC by ESPN, HD saying we have the best D in football (she even gave examples of how MSU has the stats, but we have played the teams). So whatever...
We need to come up with a sweet nickname for Kyle. For some reason, when I watched Dozer's highlights I thought of Honey badger, but thats been played out, so we need to find something new!
I think his new one word moniker should be Disruption. Everything he does disrupts the other team. It's not catchy, but it's true.
It could work, but yeah, not too catchy.
He does fly a lot, Peregrin Falcon?
Call the whole crew the Spanish Inquisition.
This would mean Kyle, of course, is Torquemada:
When Sam Rogers and Kyle Fuller engage in T-Time Drill, this happened:
There's still more people in this picture than UVA had at their spring game
UVA had a spring game? lol
No seriously, I was talking to some UVA fans around July and I asked about the upcoming season, "as long as we beat the Chokies". (Nice right!) Second I asked about their spring game, and they say: "why would we wanna go to a football practice?, must be a stupid chokie thing" (lol again). I love that about the UVA fans, nothing is worth the extra effort, except bashing VT.
It shouldn't bother me but it kills me to hear Chokie like it's the only thing they have on VT. I always mention how they choked in their biggest game in quite a few years vs. VT in 2011.
I hate hearing Chokies! One of my sales reps made that mistake last week after we beat GT. Man did I
let him know real fast that that term is unacceptable to me and I never want to hear it again.
He of course apologized and has been kissing my ass all week. But its really pisses me off when
UVA fan says it. That REALLY grinds my gears.
-1 really?? Do we have a UVA troll on here?? Wow...
FTFY
got you too buddy!
I understand people occasionally fat finger downvotes, but I swear in cases like this its a troll doing it on purpose. I got both of you as well
I would guess that we have some TKP'ers using smart phones and they have fat fingers...I don't think it's possible to undo a downvote....wonder if Joe could look into that?
I cant help it that i have mammoth thumbs!!!!!
Love it!!!
You have to forgive them (not really). It's just super simple to add a "c" to the beginning of "hokie" and transform it into a derogatory term. They like the sound of it rolling off their tongue, in spite of the fact that they've only beat us once in...oh...13 years now? I mean, it's not like we have an easy way to say they choke. We actually have to be creative to deride them.
The ultimate battle. You've just put humanity in danger.
The fillers are coming to play..best back field n history???
It's interesting that the mothership couldn't give our D credit at the time for playing bama the way we did, but five weeks into the season, they're suddenly discovering how well our guys did. Nothing like timely analysis.
They had to make sure it wasn't a fluke(r)
I saw what you did there.
thanks, it was fun :-) #beatbama
Losing to Pittsburg and Cincy, then going 7-6, then barely squeaking by Marshall and ECU will do that to some people that aren't true-believer fans.
And there it is. Going 7-6 after all the hype of being good, barely squeaking by in games we should have easily won, and the team coming out and not playing like they were capable of will cause any analyst to hedge their bets. Unfortunately we have given them ammunition by our play in the 'big' games. In my opinion we are talented enough to beat any given team in the NCAA, but the determination was sometimes not there. I personally blame the former (offensive) coaching staff for not firing up the team for the game and think (hope) the current staff will not allow that to happen. I don't think Coach Foster ever lost the drive but his defense could not do it all, all the time.
Exum's return coupled with the play of the freshmen corners allows Bud to use Kyle as a swiss army knife, which is probably the best thing about his game- he can do a lot of things really well.
"Knife" Fuller??
I really got nothin
Yeah, knife doesn't sound right.
You use a Fuller to brush them aside.
