With a June commitment date looming, blue-chip 2019 running back Devyn Ford recently released his top six.

Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Clemson, Penn State, Oklahoma, and North Carolina made the cut for the 247Sports Composite 4-star running back's services. Ford envisioned his fit in the Hokies' offense to the The Free Lance-Star.
Q: It was once rumored that the Hokies are atop your list. Have you ranked your top six at all?
A: I don't have a top out of the six. Everybody's on the same level.
Q: Your coach, Joe Mangano, mentioned that the Hokies informed him from the beginning they want to build a fence around you. Does that level of commitment make a difference?
A: Yes sir it does. Tech is just Tech. They've been there from the beginning. I love the offense. It fits exactly how I want to play. It's comfortable there.
He told Rivals he's set to visit Virginia Tech this weekend.
Virginia Tech- "They have always been there since the beginning," he said. "I like what coach Fuente is doing. They are doing better and I could see myself in that offense. It's just like our offense so it would be a good fit."
On what comes next- "I'm going to Virginia Tech this weekend and that's the only visit I have planned right now," said Ford. "I'm going to commit sometime in June. There is no order and no leader right now.
"The biggest factor is probably my relationship with the coaches," he said. "The environment that I'd be in and how would I be able to start in the offense or contribute quickly, at least.
"My best coaching relationship is with coach Burden and coach Fuente," Ford said. "They've been there the longest and we've been talking a lot."

Only one visit planned and committing in June.
Don't get your hopes up man
TOO LATE, hype train on the tracks
Somehow I suspect he may find the time to have other visits between now and June...
Can't hear you, hype train left the station
Clem$on will come in the week before, and he will magically LOVE coach $winney and their history of champion$hipS. Tiger bound, like all of our top recruits recently.
It is difficult to get excited about landing these type of prospects as a VT fan, but I really do feel like we're starting to turn the corner with getting some of these type of guys. I feel like I'm allowed to be a little more optimistic, especially after last years class.
RIP
My hype level...
Are you saying you're the poor guy trying to figure out how to make the VT with his fingers?
All those flips, and he still got it wrong. No offense meant if somebody on here is that guy.

Got em
This fail is why Marty should've come to the TKP tailgate and did a story on Nick's 10 cases of natty light and the pinata we did with a horse head mask on.
Believe it or not, last weekend I actually cracked open the last case of Yuengling left over from the very first TKP Tailgate.
We are all that guy at some point.
nah, he is just excited to be on TV!!!!
That fella in the background is struggling...I'd say his tailgating began the night before. Whoa! Maybe he's just excited to be on "tv"?
And I chose to stop reading there.
Man am I excited that he is making his decision in February. It looks like we have built the best relationships with him and I'm excited to hear that he knows he is the perfect fit for our offense. This could be the biggest high profile recruit to commit this early in as long as I can remember, which will help propel the rest of the recruiting class.
With the receiving core Fu and Wiggins are building, a game-breaking running back like Ford will make this offense ridiculous.

nice combination of stress, sadness, and constipation
There's a solution to that:
A truly life-changing invention
French, you need a beard.
While I'm dreaming ... how fun is this to think about: Hooker, Ford, and Farley (I refuse to believe he won't play some WR), all playing at elite levels.
