That's looking too far ahead. BC is in the mix before Miami. If there are special items that the coaches want to emphasize, we already know they'll work that in over time like they did for GT. But if they're encouraging the team to assume wins over Duke and BC and strategize for Miami, that's wrong and I don't think they'll do it. Bring your A-game every week for whoever the opponent is.

Are you talking coaches or players?
Coaches, I'd say yes. And they'll prepare for Duke and BC as well, but I think they'll split the time during the bye on each.
Players, I'd say no. The coaches will probably work on getting the players better. Lots of film review of themselves, more installation and fine tuning.
But, I'm just speculating, I really have no idea what the Hokies would do.

The Pitt game is one I have had circled on my calendar since last year. We have not beaten them since 2000 (though the game last year was the first since 2003), and we have lost each of the last 4 games. Every time, we were ranked (sometimes very highly) and they were not. Some food for thought for those of us hoping we will be ranked this week...

If anything in preparing for Miami, we need to think of many ways to laugh at this internet meme remix I stumped upon a while ago. Been waiting for a good moment for it

Let's be real. Even if we were the #1 team in the country I'd be po'd if we were looking ahead. This is college football, where on ANY weekend an upset can happen. We all know that we're lucky, and happy, to be 5-1. Take nothing for granted, and take it one week at a time.

Actually, I think we're still in install/refine mode with the offense. Sure, we might emphasize a strategy for a particular team, but I think we still need to focus on executing our own game plan, and doing that as flawlessly as possible. Loeffler will be able to make the calls based on the situation, but if we aren't doing what we want to do well, no play call will make up for it.
One day at a time. Pitt next

This.
After what happened last year, I would be okay with focusing on Pitt this week.
Yes please
We have the bye week after the Pitt game.
oops...

We've lost to Pitt 4 straight times going back to 2001. I would hope we'd focus on them
Losing the last 4 games against Pitt should definitely be mentioned a couple times this week in the locker room and planning.

Overlooking BC would be at our peril. They're five times better than they were last season.
Wait... I thought we had Pitt this week?
We do. Pitt, bye, Duke, BC, Miami, etc.
Right now, the most important game on our schedule is Pitt.

Yeah, we need to end that streak

uummmmmm......
Cocaine's one hell of a drug......
I'm amused that the Terrapin... a TURTLE... goes croak.
I saw the Terrapins play today; its true, they definitely go croak.
I chuckled slightly for creativity, but that is such a Miami move

Lolz at the size of their student section.
Am I the only one who thinks this is hilarious?
The seriousness of the students is what puts this over the top...
I'm pretty sure their mascot is the reject Donald Duck costume, not an ibis. So he would go quack, quack, quack.
Lets see last year Pitt beat us, Duke was up 20-0 at the half, and we beat BC in OT...
MIA is November 9th.
will we sleep on anyone

Focus on the opponent we play this week. Period.
