ACC and AAC announce joint officiating alliance for college football per cbssports.com

(Link here)

Ran across this article on cbssports.com. So is this the beginning of something wonderful, or the seeds of the evil officiating empire?

I have to confess, I haven't paid much attention to the AAC refs, but hey....its the AAC, why would I watch. I have to believe that this is more an approach to get more available bodies in stripes, not a quality enhancing move on the ACC's part. Anyone see enough AAC games to know if their officials are as visually impaired as the ACC stripes? What think ye?

At least it isn't the PAC 12.

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

And all the people said "Amen!"

And the Hokies in the assembly said, "Fam!"

Can't wait to blame the AAACCC officials!!! ... the ol' American Atlantic Athletics Coast Conference Conference

Just as long as its not a scheduling agreem.....

Wait, aren't we locked into future schedules where we are playing at least one AAC school for the next 20 years or so?

*sigh*

The same refs that called pass interference on Chuck Clark because he got within 3 feet of the receiver? And the same refs who called targeting on Greg Stroman because his hip made contact with the receiver as he went for the interception?

Great.

Forgot about that one.....buckle up, it may be a bumpy ride.

Hold on to your butts

Is this a potential "Plan of Improvement" for AAC officials? (If that's the case, surely, they'd pick somebody better than ACC refs to tutor them.)

Take the shortest route to the ball and arrive in bad humor.

Well, it does mention training. So, there's that.

But... it doesn't say anything about vision testing.

If you play it, they will win.

Something wicked this way comes

In regards to AAC games (from what I recall this past season being the most I've seen) Why watch? Gambling, LTSTBTU. As for refereeing games they seem to be pretty loose. This could be from a combination of play from teams but I don't remember a ton of penalties being called or anything ridiculous happening.

Edit: Forgot ECU is in the AAC and not Conference USA, my comments mainly rest on AAC inner conference games.

...That's what Maryland does.

I don't give a damn what the fans think cause, quite frankly, I know what the fans want better than they do.

Okay..... I'll bite. What on earth is LTSTBTU? because I googled it and

Life's too short to bet the under, watching Navy run the Y formation/triple option and hit the over is exhilarating

Edit:

I replied to the wrong comment.

The ACC refs have perfected rigging games, so they're bringing their expertise down to the mid-majors to maximize the profits of the Vegas M.A.F.I.A.
