WVU and UVA

Just thought I'd point out that Baylor and Ball State combined for 1,370 yards this weekend and 121 points on our two biggest rivals. In order to put that into perspective, through six games this year our defense has given up a total of 1,582 yards and 96 points. But that 3rd down defense, that's more important than all those other stats.

Yeah what was that all about? I'm glad Joe is a boss and didn't take that lying down.

Let's not forget Murland's 614 yard, 63 point "performance" this past weekend either...

Baylor could have accounted for 3800 yards Saturday. That WVU team is bad. Being an alum and giving allegiance to VT, I can't explain how happy this makes me seeing them become a doormat for the Big 12.

Bigger, Faster, STRONGER...BUILT TO HIT

Love seeing this. Especially being there during the rivalry and having a neighbor that was a huge WVu fan. My dad graduated from Marshall, so I grew up with a big distaste for the 'Eers.

That 3rd down defense'll really get after ya...

It just occurred to me that I'm curious what their first and second down numbers look like. I can see, though, that this is a result of TimeCop's coaching at practice:

TimeCop: "Alright guys, it's third down and we need a stop"

Player: "But coach, we didn't practice first or second down"

TimeCop: "No time for that, son, we'll need to be good at third downs this year"

I think he has the number of timeouts confused with the number of downs. It's an easy mistake.

I love this.

If only they could play eachother to see who flubs more for our enjoyment

I live in WV, so I hate them more than WVU by default. The rivalry was much more fun back when WVU was competitive, though. Now, it's just a joke. I mean, how do you give up 56 points and 617 yards IN THE FIRST HALF???

I love Virginia Tech, regardless of the outcome of every game.

Beat me to the third down defense joke...not fair

A new season...new hope
