Redshirt Senior Ty Outlaw has been medically cleared to return to play.
Outlaw sat out this past season with an ACL tear, which happened last July.

Too bad he is not a DB. That would be a badass DB name
It's a badass anything name.
A bit on the nose if he were an Asian criminal.
take your fuckin' leg and

I think what you meant was
?
He'd be Ty Outlaw, the Thai Outlaw.
Thai?
I reached out to Virginia Tech about this, and I haven't heard back. Outlaw shared an Instagram post, which originally noted "Unbothered. Because I Got Cleared 2day." It's since been edited to remove the part about being cleared. That's odd to me. Just a heads up.
Any updates on this? Also, generically, would "cleared" mean medically cleared? Or granted his hardship waiver?
I have not heard anything back yet.
THANK GOD. JUST IN TIME FOR THE TOURNA-...oh.
I didn't even know that he was a person of interest.
Well he is an outlaw
As opposed to an in-law?
The rare husband-dad joke. Shame on you!
Not sure you count as an outlaw once you've been cleared.
WOOHOO!
Can't wait to see that sweet stroke next fall.
On the TSL free basketball board, 83 mentions Outlaw is considering transferring. Anyone heard anything? And yes, I know their format is archaic.

Ugh. If 83 is saying it, you can believe it. He seems to have serious sauces.
I hope not. Outlaw had a sweet stroke.
This would suck large magnitudes
If he transfers, that means there probably isn't a significant spot in the rotation for him. I trust Buzz.
This. Probably wants to play some big minutes his last year
There's no way Ty Outlaw is not in Buzz's plans for 2018-19. He may want more minutes than will be available for him here, but he would be in the top 7 in the rotation no doubt.
I'm really not sure on that. He didn't play a ton before Chris Clarke tore his ACL in 2016-17. And that team lacked any decent depth. He ended the season unbelievably hot from the arc, but he's a lackluster defender and an average-ish athlete. He would have more difficulty claiming minutes than people keep saying.
Horne v Outlaw is an interesting debate on mins. Totally different players, both competing for Clarke's backup mins at 4.
I would prefer to have both and mix/match.
With how much Buzz valued the 3 this past season, Outlaw would be worth playing 17 mpg on his shooting alone
