Would love to know what the results were, and how far back in years did they go. Might be a fun piece of analysis to do in my not-so-copious free time.

Women's Basketball got a silent commit from a 6'4 player today. Another player is visiting on campus today and Brooks says she is best shooter he has ever seen.

Wanted to Bump this. On twitter I talked about the annual meeting an many folks didn't even know this went on. It will be before the spring game this year again. If you are a Hokie Club member and want to have your voice heard this is the time.

Man, if only there was some platform out there where the Hokie Club could use posts to inform hundreds of thousands of people about upcoming events like this.
Somebody thats good at coding should make something like that. I bet it'd end up making some money.

Every Hokie Club member gets notices about the meeting. Their social media pages have so few followers and they have had so much turnover it's not the top priority.
So, not sure if this is a bug, or if I'm an idiot, but when I click the link you provided, then click the 'Return to Events' button, I'm only shown 5 events, and the meeting and spring picnic is not listed. There's nothing on this page that indicates to the user that there are more than 5 scheduled events.

Yea, I'm aware. But it begs the question - how is someone supposed to know that this even is coming up if they don't receive their email? This goes back to the larger issue of communication with HC. Most fans just don't know what's going on at any given point. There's just so much friction in the organization and the messaging that fans who want to be involved are confused.

Well according to the official website its the April 13th https://hokiesports.com/schedule.aspx?path=football With no mention of it being a tentative date. If the game is on the 13th, Hokie Club should update their site to reflect that. If the date is in fact still in fact tentative, the hokiesports.com should say that. Somewhere along the lines some one is dropping the ball.

I'm sure the few thousand social media followers they have outnumber the people who just visit HokieClub.com for any purpose other than making their annual donation. I'm a member, and I'm sure I got an email about it. I'm also sure the email was overlooked and deleted just like 95% of the other emails I get to that account. I doubt I'm alone here.
I apologize if this comes off as abrasive, but I don't buy turnover as an excuse for not taking 5 minutes to post news/events on social media. Social media is not a priority? If not, then what is the Hokie Club's grand plan for outreach? Extra email traffic and more phone calls? That apathy is exactly why Hokie Club membership numbers aren't what we want them to be (not to mention followers on social media). New members/followers don't just materialize out of nowhere.

Yes. I've gotten emails last couple of years. Hard to travel a random weekend to Blacksburg for an unknown meeting. I have no clue why I get the emails. Especially since I dropped out of HC because of the ridiculous amount our season tickets went up.

Our youngest is currently at South Carolina. We have received more phone calls from them up-dating us on athletics and booster events, all by friendly students, who end by asking if we would like to support the school, then we have received in 30 years from VT. And we have never given a dime outside of tuition or joined any organization. We had personal phone invites to parent weekends, homecomings, fund raiser events, and booster meetings for multiple sports, and even just asking how our son was enjoying school and if there were any questions about or need for student support, all done in such a polite and informative way it makes me jealous VT does not do that.

Whit spoke about how well we are doing in Directors Cup, 15th. Hope to finish top 30.
Whit had athletic department do Commonwealth clash point scoring with all schools in ACC.
NC State is kicking ass.
FSU has beaten Tech every year
ND has won ever year.

ACC play, so 2003.
Giving is WAAAYYYH UP. But still behind peers in ACC and nation.
Did he provide any numbers around this?
Yes but I don't remember them all.
Lost around 800 Hokie Members.
Student Hokie now costs 25 dollars.
Clemson counts 5k students in its IPTAY to get a higher "donor" total. That's why they need to charge students a fee to get them counted.
Also, might get them into habit of HOkie Club.
Scholarship funds are above cost for for second year in a row.
Kenny Brooks speaking now.
Talking about how so many fans and even student athletes don't know that their scholarship still has to be paid for by real money.
Women's Basketball got a silent commit from a 6'4 player today. Another player is visiting on campus today and Brooks says she is best shooter he has ever seen.
4 student athletes are up now.
Patrick Joseph- Track and Field
Stacey Christy- volleyball
Kendall brooks- women's basketball
David McFadden- wrestling
Forgot this nugget: the women's team finished the season and played entire WNIT without a point guard.

But it's right there on their website:

Also since the Spring game hasn't officially been set this year yet they can't give an official event date for the annual meeting yet.

It's probably bad, but I had no idea that HokieClub.com was a website until just now
Yup, that is bad, but it's not your fault.
Is anyone on TKP planning to attend? It would be great to have someone report back about what is discussed.
There's also the VTAF Leadership meetings which was this past Friday and Saturday.
I get the emails, but have no idea why or what goes on. Kind of seems hand in hand.
What's VTAF? VT Athletic Fund?
How does this differ from the Scholarship Fund?
Yes. I've gotten emails last couple of years. Hard to travel a random weekend to Blacksburg for an unknown meeting. I have no clue why I get the emails. Especially since I dropped out of HC because of the ridiculous amount our season tickets went up.
