Things have quieted down a bit and I think the previous Top 5 WR's post was a success, so let's keep the train going and give some love to the big fellas up front!
So how should we rank? Top 5 at each position (dear god please no), top 5 overall regardless of position, The number 1 top lineman for each position? I dont care, sort it how you want it and defend yourself!
My 2 cents
- Jake Grove
- Jim Pyne
- Eugene Chung
- Duane Brown
- Wyatt Teller

Duane Brown and Will Montgomery are ahead of at least Lehr and Teller for me
Yeah I had Brown there first then I did some reordering and reconsidering and put Lehr there for a split second then I remember I wanted to put in Duane Brown at 4 all along so I changed it like a minute after I posted...woops(I was moving the list around and basically screwed up my numbering in my head).
Interior Linemen have been the strong suit for the Hokies in the NFL .With Pyne, Grove, Lehr, Conaty, DiNapoli and Teller. My list is of only guys I have seen play in person.
My List
1. Grove
2. Lehr
3. Brown
4. DeChristopher
5. Teller
I'd put Teller ahead of DeChristopher, probably 4th behind Grove, Brown and Pyne.
1. Jim Pyne: Unanimous 1st Team All American
2. Jake Grove: Unanimous 1st Team All American
3. Eugene Chung: 1st Team All American, 1st Round NFL Draft Pick
4. Billy Conaty: 1st Team All American
5. Duane Brown: 1st Round NFL Draft Pick
I put Pyne at the #1 spot since he only allowed one sack in over 2,700 career snaps.
TKP FYI IMO PSA:
Teller is NOT in the top 5, or even close. We've had All-Americans, and multi-year All-Conference linemen.
If you put Teller on your list and you don't have Pyne, Chung and Grove, I mean, come on man.
He's a nice player, but I'm not sure Teller would even have been top 3 on the 1999 offensive line alone.
Me thinks the way you respond is with your list. Not nitpicking others.
I see a disturbing lack of Wang's on your list. The Wang's were vital to our O-lines for many seasons...
If I were a betting man, I'd say there's at the very least five wangs within that list.
