Empire Strikes Back
The Terminator
Conan the Barbarian
Cocktail, Roadhouse & Weekend At Bernies 1... not 2
Looking through that list reminds me that the whole decade was mostly cheesy-yet-fun movies. I'm having trouble thinking of any kind of great artistic achievement in 80's film, but I'd still watch the hell out of most of the movies on your list there. I'd add Beetlejuice, too.
The 80's were the all-time great decade for trash-terpieces, though.
Going a little different direction, Transformers.
You Got The Touch
Gremlins, E.T.
Edit: caddyshack was mentioned
The Breakfast Club
16 Candles
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Valley Girl
Back to School
Hotdog The Movie
Wargames
Say Anything
Some Kind of Wonderful
TopGun
Risky Business
Pretty in Pink
Caddyshack (mentioned previously)
(Cult Classic) Big Man on Campus
Leg for Hot Dog: The Movie!
"What-a in a fuck is a Chinese Downhill?"
Fletch, Raising Arizona. Beverly Hills Cop
Oldsmobuick
Princess Bride and Bull Durham have to be on the top list. Definitely agree with Three Men and a Baby.
Bull Durham is one of my favorite baseball movies. Might be at the top for me. I catch a lot of flack for that but I freakin love that movie.
I haven't figured out how to embed things yet but the cock and the pussy monologue is legendary
Better off Dead
One Crazy Summer
This...
"Gee Ricky, I'm really sorry your Mom blew up."
Classic
In no particular order...
And I know this one is technically 1990, but it feels like an 80s movie to me:

Edit: shamefully, I left this gem out:

Not my favorite, but worth mentioning:
1 - Top Gun
nothing else matters
Most underrated - Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home... its surprisingly funny
with the whales!? nooooo
I would have included "This is Spinal Tap" but I didn't actually see it in the 80s so I disqualified myself.
And Kim Catrell in Mannequin and Police Academy. Oh my...
Indiana Jones 1 & 3 have been left out. Those are some of the best movies of all time.
Raiders. Harrison Ford being the GOAT, of course.
I'm disappointed in each and every one of you that did not have this movie on your list.
Double true
That's because nobody on here posts faster than they can see.
Over the Top.
Anything with John Candy but most of all

And Chevy Chase anything...

I am angry at myself for missing Planes Trains and Automobiles.
Great job by everyone above me, I only added The Shining, Aliens, Platoon and Rain Man.
1. Raiders of Lost Ark
2. Die Hard
3. Indiana Jones and Last Crusade
4. Ferris Bueller
5. Hoosiers
6. Princess Bride
7. Big
8. Platoon
9. Say Anything
10.Road House
HM: Christmas Story, Spinal Tap, Vacation, Bull Durham, The Natural, One Crazy Summer, Raising Arizona, Breakfast Club, Naked Gun, Rain Man, The Shining and Aliens
IMDB has Raging Bull (1980) as the best movie of the decade, but I can't say I would want to watch that tonight over any of the movies I mentioned. I think I saw it once and it's draining.
You have to have Beverly Hills Cop and Bull Durham in there.
All of the above plus:
scarface
the color of money
commando
Running man
The original Marvel movie
Holy crap I loved this movie as a kid!
We've done it boys. We have finally reached peak offseason.
Can't believe no one has mentioned 1984's Dune.
That's because the miniseries was better.
https://www.tor.com/2017/05/09/syfys-dune-miniseries-is-the-most-okay-adaptation-of-the-book-to-date/
I liked the movie better than the mini-series.
I watched that and I was so confused.
Only movie where I fell asleep in the theater.
Didn't really care for it. Couldn't stand Sting at the time either. However, I do believe it set a tone for later "dark" sci-fi movies (Riddick movies come to mind). Therefore I salute your contribution.
I haven't seen my all time favorite on the list yet - The Right Stuff
Excellent movie!
The fact that this thread has no Patrick Swayze movies in it is a crime.
The Outsiders and Dirty Dancing are classics. I'll fight anyone who says otherwise.
...Roadhouse was mentioned earlier
Nobody's mentioned Bill & Ted?
Good call
Wyld Stallyns!!
Saw an article not long ago that those two are trying to get another installment. The basis would be present day, middle aged Wild Stallions that still haven't written "the song" and are wondering if they failed.
Be excellent to each other.
How did I have to scroll this far down to get to this movie?
Bloodsport. End of discussion.
Conan the barbarian
Airplane
Police academy
Stripes
Revenge of the nerds
The blues brothers
Raising arizona
Breakfast club
Spinal tap
Stir crazy
History of the world
The meaning of life
Porkys
48 hours
Flash Gordon
Time bandits
Repo man
Real genius
Spaceballs
Innerspace
Altered states
Enemy mine
+1 for Porkys and Stripes
Time Bandits was my jam.
Talk about a dark ending though
Evil dead 2
I agree with a comment above, Terminator has to be on the list. As for baseball movies, Major League. Revenge of the Nerds is a classic cheesy comedy. Full Metal Jacket is a good one.
Agree on Revenge of the Nerds
Crocodile Dundee
Strange Brew
The first half
Full Metal Jacket had to be in the 90s right?
1987 release
A few additions
Jaws(70's, oops)Lost Boys
Stand By Me

Do the Right Thing because the questions it raises are still so relevant.
When I think of 80's movies, I think of the cheesy/funny action-adventure type films and Eddie Murphy/Chevy Chase/Steve Martin/Bill Murry stuff. I always forget the poignant movies like Do the Right Thing
Good pull (and anyone else who mentioned it)
Unpopular opinion incoming: Do the Right Thing is slightly overrated. The plot, direction, and themes are great, but some of the acting in that one is hard to get past. Go back and watch it again. It's not quite as good as you remember.
Heathers
Gleaming the Cube
Pink Floyd The Wall.
1979 not 80 but I think of it as an '80s movie
For weird cult Sci-Fi you can't beat Rutger Hauer
There are no wrong answers here, pretty much every movie and song written in this decade greater than all others...
Ice Pirates (Space Herpes!)
Campy, stupid movie, but a classic nonetheless.
In no particular order:
Strange Brew
Top Gun
Stripes
Caddyshack
Red Dawn
Brewster's Millions (how has this not come up yet?)
Major League
Airplane!
Die Hard
A Christmas Story
Dead Poets Society
